Chapter 248: Chapter 232: Yu Changsheng Appears
WHOOSH... WHOOSH... WHOOSH...
A howling wind swept in, streaked with flashes of cyan light. Two Four-winged Flying Lizards were in the air, circling one another but not rushing to attack Li Minghan.
Li Minghan looked up at the two Four-winged Flying Lizards constantly circling above him and chuckled softly.
"Spirit Wind Python, Sunset Scenery!"
The Spirit Wind Python understood. Its long body slithered as it floated in mid-air. It raised its head, its entire body flickering with cyan light that ultimately converged at its throat. As it opened its mouth, a thick pillar of cyan light shot toward the heavens, aiming for the circling Four-winged Flying Lizards.
The cyan pillar of light shone with a dazzling glow. As it sped forward, a wild wind raged around it, wreathed in rings of mist and emitting a shocking shockwave.
Wang Chengen’s brow furrowed. Not daring to be the least bit careless, he waved his hand, continuously directing his Four-winged Flying Lizards.
"Four-winged Flying Lizards, Twin Helix Cloud-Sweeping Winds!"
"ROAR!"
The Four-winged Flying Lizards roared, narrowly dodging the Spirit Wind Python’s attack. However, the resulting shockwave still hit them, causing their four wings to slow for a moment before they quickly recovered.
Two roars rang out in unison. The Four-winged Flying Lizards suddenly beat their wings, spiraling away from each other in opposite directions. Streaks of cyan light streamed from their wingtips, dotting the empty air. Looking up from below, one could see two Heaven-Reaching, cyan Wind Dragon Tornadoes already taking shape.
These two Tornadoes, one spinning clockwise and the other counter-clockwise, stirred up countless dust motes as they churned. If not for the arena’s large size and the protection of several Arrays, the sight would have been even more astonishing.
The violent wind was sharp as blades, letting out furious roars. Like a pair of savage beasts, the two cyclones flanked Li Minghan, trapping him. Within the raging storm, the Four-winged Flying Lizards vanished from sight, leaving only the two Heaven-Reaching Tornadoes.
The Tornadoes continued to grow, eventually seeming to reach some kind of limit. Then, they slowly began to move toward Li Minghan, who was at the very center between them.
As they drew closer, the opposing gales swept over him. The violent tearing sensation felt as if it could rip a person in half. Even the Spirit Wind Python grew slightly agitated.
’Hm, an interesting Combined Attack Skill.’
’Impressive power, but... brute force breaks all techniques!’
Li Minghan’s expression turned serious. He cast aside his disdain and nodded to the Spirit Wind Python. The python hissed, a crimson-cyan light flashing in its indifferent beastly eyes. It suddenly leaped toward the very center of the storm, right where the two Tornadoes met.
"Spirit Wind Python! Sucking Wind Devouring!"
The Spirit Wind Python understood. Its agile body twisted and contorted, allowing the violent gales to batter it relentlessly. Yet, it remained as unmoving as a solid rock, its spirit unshaken.
Countless wind blades scraped across its body but left not a single mark, healing in an instant.
The violent storm howled. The figures of the Four-winged Flying Lizards flickered in and out of view within it, stirring the winds and roaring without end. Their malicious eyes, filled with ill-intent, watched the Spirit Wind Python like a tiger stalking its prey.
The Spirit Wind Python snorted in contempt. A cyan light erupted from its body as it exhaled. The violent wind all around suddenly stopped. The previously stable Tornadoes faltered for an instant, their energy thrown into chaos. Then, as the Spirit Wind Python inhaled, the wind flowed backward into its mouth.
"Two Four-winged Flying Lizards with such perfect coordination are indeed formidable. It’s just a shame that my Spirit Wind Python is no ordinary Spirit Beast. It’s one of the kings among Wind Attribute Spirit Beasts, and your lizards are of a relatively low Realm. Using wind attacks against me... I can only say it’s your bad luck."
On the arena stage, Li Minghan raised an eyebrow and spoke calmly, a faint smile gracing his lips.
Wang Chengen frowned, his expression ugly. He looked up at the faltering tornadoes, gritting his teeth as his gaze flickered with uncertainty.
After a long moment, he finally shouted in a low voice, "Four-winged Flying Lizards, use Tornado Nail with full power!"
The words had barely left his mouth when the twin, spiraling Tornadoes suddenly shifted. They merged in mid-air, growing larger and even more terrifyingly powerful. A fearsome storm brewed within, and with a flash of cyan light, it slowly condensed into a massive drill. The tip of the drill glinted with a cold light, piercing the void and emitting a low hum.
Li Minghan’s eyes narrowed. The power contained in this attack made even him feel a faint sense of threat. Not daring to be careless, he retreated while issuing a command.
"Spirit Wind Python, don’t hold back! Torrential Rain Wind Needle!"
At the same time, the Spirit Wind Python’s own buildup of power was complete. The next moment, wind gathered and transformed into countless cyan wind needles. Furthermore, with the Spirit Wind Python’s breathing...
...tiny ripples of water appeared, coating each wind needle and increasing its piercing power and sharpness. With a wave of Li Minghan’s hand, thousands of these wind-and-water needles—cyan needles shimmering with blue ripples—shot toward the massive wind drill. They flew like raindrops, only far faster and more ferocious.
BANG! BANG! BANG!
A continuous crackling sound rang out. The wind needles struck the drill and were quickly annihilated, but they came in an unending wave. After just a few seconds, the once-stable wind drill began to waver. Cracks spread across its surface, and finally, unable to hold together any longer, it completely disintegrated.
But the Spirit Wind Python’s attack wasn’t over. With no obstacles remaining, the rest of the Torrential Rain Wind Needles sped toward the now-exposed Four-winged Flying Lizards. They streaked through the air like a beautiful but deadly cyan-and-blue rainbow.
"Not good!"
Below, Wang Chengen’s expression changed drastically. In the next instant, the two Four-winged Flying Lizards cried out in pain. All of their defenses were broken in a flash. Their sorrowful cries echoed as their bodies lost control and fell from the sky, unconscious.
