A sword can do something similar, but lacks the reach. And Ben simply likes spears more.

As for a greatsword like Nymira’s..... Ben also didn’t feel a fondness for it.

He had followed Nymira’s training session for a long period of time as she drilled into him the ways of the greatsword. But no matter how Ben looks at it, it just doesn’t fit his style.

It was more suited for people like Nymira who are very intimidating in all they do.

Maybe in the future he might consider other weapons. Nothing says he can’t get multiple masteries on several weapons, that is just the limitations to those from this world who require their whole lives to raise the mastery of just one specialized weapon.

In such a situation, trying to master another would simply be inefficient and daunting. Not impossible but definitely not recommended for one simple reason....

To get a sword mastery to the transcendent level might take a thousand years for someone. And to get a sword and an axe masteries together to the transcendent level would take double that time.

So in essence, while others are bringing their masteries of a single specialized weapon to much higher levels, one would be left far behind, and might not even reach those levels for the rest of one’s life.

Also, having multiple weapons means nothing against supreme mastery. You might be specialize with a hundred weapons to the earth level of mastery, but someone with only one weapon at the heaven level would easily overpower this person.

This doesn’t apply to Ben, though. At least he doesn’t think so.

If Ben’s guess proves correct, he would be gaining the highest level of mastery that correlates to his realm once he purchases a technique.

Ben imputed his search, waiting patiently as the system soon came with a response...
