Aldes leaned his back against the chair. He stared intently at Amor. "What did the King say?" he asked.
"He asked if the man was successfully killed," Amor answered.
"The man, you mean like the mastermind?" Aldes tilted his head.
Amor nodded. "And unfortunately he managed to escape."
Amor reached for the glass in front of him and drank the remaining water inside. He turned his face away, looking out the large window next to him. The sky above the ocean was starting to turn bright orange. "He is still roaming around until now." Amor placed his glass on the table. "The Daylight."
*Daylight? What kind of comic name is that. Why Daylight, is he from Earth?* Aldes thought to himself.
He then turned his head to his left. Aldes found Leafa resting her chin on the back of her hand, staring directly at his face with a faint smile.
"Uh." Aldes cleared his throat softly.
"You were listening to the story right?" Aldes asked.
Leafa nodded slowly. "Hmm."
"I was a little distracted," Leafa said.
*This woman is starting to blatantly like me,* Aldes muttered in his heart.
Illfa shook her head repeatedly. Her eyes were wide open staring at the table. "Wow. Just wow." Illfa hugged herself and rubbed her arms, shivering with goosebumps. "I do not want to enter Division Zero. There is no chance I am entering Division Zero."
"Oh no Illfa, you are going to get promoted and be in the same division as me." Mila reached her hands across the table and pinched both of Illfa's cheeks hard.
"It hurts. Agh, let go." Illfa struggled. She slapped her palms against the wooden table repeatedly and pulled her head back trying to escape Mila's grip.
Leafa crossed her legs and smoothed out the folds of her white dress. "The captain in your division refused to enter Division Zero you know, Illfa," Leafa said in a calm tone.
Illfa stopped struggling. She raised both her eyebrows high. "Klaus?"
Leafa nodded. "Did you just find out?"
Suddenly Amor stood up from his seat. The sound of his shoes scraping against the wooden floor was clearly heard. "Let us train."
Mila released her pinch from Illfa's cheeks. "Train? Where? In the ocean?"
Amor pointed at the floor. "Downstairs." He then turned his head, staring straight at Aldes. "Fight me barehanded."
Aldes met Amor's gaze with a furrowed brow. "Fight you?"
Mila pointed to her own temple with her index finger. "Amor are you crazy? You want to challenge someone who..."
Amor did not divert his gaze from Aldes's eyes. "I will use an artifact that suppresses my power by ninety percent." He raised his index finger toward Aldes's chest. "You use one hundred percent."
Leafa turned to look at Amor. "Why so sudden, Amor?"
"I am genuinely curious. I heard from Klaus you created your own moves." The corners of Amor's lips slowly rose, forming a faint smile. "Show me."
Thud. Illfa slammed the table with both of her palms. Her eyes sparkled staring at Amor. "Training. Let us train."
Smack. Mila hit the back of Illfa's head with her right hand. "Relax."
Aldes still looked back and forth between Amor and Illfa in confusion. He then turned to Leafa beside him.
Leafa tilted her head. "Hm? What is it Aldes? Are you scared?"
Aldes narrowed his eyes. "Why are you acting like you are looking forward to it?"
Leafa touched her own cheek with her slender fingers. "Hm? Is that so? Does my face show I am looking forward to it, Honey?"
Aldes let out a long breath through his nose. "Yes, darling, very clear." Aldes rested his hands on his thighs and stood up as well. "Yeah whatever."
