I'm Not Your Husband, You Evil Dragon!

Chapter 220: The Queen Has Finished Playing

Location: Liebus Agency (Anaya City)

Place: Training Room

The entire training hall had fallen into suffocating silence.

A crushing presence filled every corner of the massive chamber, making the air itself feel unbearably heavy. Elga and Erika stood several meters away, yet neither of them dared to move. Even looking directly at Erza had become difficult, as though their instincts were warning them not to challenge something that stood far above them.

Erza’s aura had already spread beyond the training room.

It surged through the corridors of the agency, swallowing floor after floor before rising toward the surface. Even deep underground, the headquarters trembled beneath its pressure, and the very foundation of the Liebus Agency groaned as if struggling to withstand the overwhelming presence.

Erza slowly rolled her shoulders before stretching her neck from side to side.

Crack.

Crack.

The sound of her bones echoed throughout the silent hall.

A small smile appeared on her lips.

"Looks like..."

"I’ll have to show you what dominance truly is."

The smile she wore wasn’t arrogant.

It was the smile of someone who had already accepted victory before the battle had even begun.

Erika’s breathing became uneven.

Elga’s golden eyes remained fixed upon Erza without blinking.

Then...

Something changed.

The horns that had always remained hidden from humanity slowly emerged from Erza’s White-silver hair.

Elegant.

Majestic.

Terrifying.

They curved proudly above her head, revealing the identity she had concealed for so long.

Normally...

Only Yuuta had ever been allowed to see them.

Not even Sister Mary knew they existed.

But now...

Erza had stopped hiding.

A long white tail slowly swept across the floor behind her, striking the stone with a heavy thud while her smile only widened.

Elga instinctively took half a step backward.

Even in her berserk state...

Even after losing herself to battle...

Her body refused to approach.

Fear had rooted her in place.

Erika’s attention suddenly shifted toward Erza’s hands.

Only moments ago, they had been smooth and elegant, the hands of a beautiful queen.

Now...

They were changing.

White scales gradually spread across the back of her hands before extending toward her wrists. Her fingers lengthened, and sharp white claws slowly emerged from each fingertip, each one nearly seven inches long. Faint violet patterns shimmered between the white scales, giving them an unnatural beauty that was equally terrifying.

Erza quietly stared at her own transformed hand.

She flexed her fingers once before letting out a quiet sigh.

"My pride..."

"...has truly been wounded."

Her voice was soft, almost directed toward herself.

"I never thought I would allow myself to be struck."

She lowered her gaze for a brief moment.

"Centuries..."

"I remained untouched for centuries."

"And today..."

"I was hit."

A bitter smile appeared across her face.

"Worse..."

"It wasn’t during a war."

"It wasn’t by another Superior Being."

"It wasn’t even by a dragon."

Her violet eyes slowly lifted toward Elga.

"It was..."

"...a mere demi-human."

The words were calm.

Yet every syllable carried the weight of her wounded pride.

A deafening roar suddenly echoed throughout the training hall.

Elga’s berserk instincts finally overpowered the fear gripping her body.

Her muscles violently expanded as veins bulged beneath her fur-covered arms. With another furious roar, she launched herself toward Erza, crossing the distance in an instant.

Erika remained frozen where she stood.

Her body refused to move.

She could only watch.

Erza calmly looked at the charging lioness.

A smile slowly returned to her lips.

"You truly are a wild beast."

She slowly raised one clawed hand.

"Then..."

"Let’s settle this with nothing but physical strength."

Elga roared again, pouring every ounce of power into her charge.

The distance between them rapidly disappeared.

Elga lunged.

Erza lifted her hand slowly, deliberately, as if she had all the time in the world. Her claws gleamed in the dim light, catching the reflection of the emergency alarms that still flashed in the distance.

"Excellent," she said.

She slashed.

The attack was not aimed at Elga. It was not aimed at anything in the room. Erza simply slashed the air, her claws cutting through the space between them with a sound like tearing silk.

The air itself could not stop the attack. A wave of energy formed, shaped like her claw, rippling through the atmosphere like a stone dropped into still water. It was invisible, but its presence was unmistakable a pressure that made the air grow thick, that made Erika’s ears pop, that made the walls of the training room groan in protest.

Elga saw the attack coming.

She reacted on instinct, her body leaping to the side just before the wave could connect. The energy passed through the space where she had been standing, missing her by inches.

It struck the wall.

The wall was destroyed.

Erika and Elga stopped.

They had seen many things in their years of service. They had faced demons, monsters, horrors that would drive ordinary minds to madness. They had seen weapons that could level buildings, spells that could shatter mountains, technology that could bend the laws of physics.

But they had never seen this.

The wall of the training room was made of the finest materials the Agency could produce, the strongest alloys, the most advanced composites, designed to withstand a nuclear blast. It was a wall that had been tested against the most powerful weapons humanity could create, a wall that had never failed.

Erza had cut through it like paper.

And she had not even touched it. She had been standing in the middle of the room, her claws simply slashing the air, and the wall had been destroyed.

Erika felt something inside her disappear.

Moments earlier she had been preparing herself for battle.

Now...

That determination was gone.

In its place remained only one thought.

Survive.

For the first time in years, Captain Erika no longer cared about victory.

She only wanted to leave the training hall alive before the monster standing before them decided she had grown tired of playing.

She looked at Elga. The berserker’s eyes were wide, her body trembling, her claws still extended but her will broken.

They had no chance.

Erza smiled.

"Now," she said, her voice soft, almost gentle, "shall we continue?"

Elga screamed in rage, her voice tearing through the training room like a wounded beast. Her eyes were wild, her body trembling with a fury that had no outlet, her claws extended and ready to tear into the silver-haired monster who had humiliated her.

Erza looked at her, her expression calm, almost bored.

"Noisy," she said.

She disappeared.

One moment she was standing in the center of the room, her arms crossed, her tail swaying lazily behind her.

The next moment she was in front of Elga, her violet eyes inches from the demi-human’s face, her cold smile sending shivers down Elga’s spine.

Elga had no time to react.

Erza’s fist connected with her abdomen.

The impact was catastrophic.

Elga’s body folded around the punch, her eyes widening, her mouth opening in a silent scream. The force of the blow lifted her off her feet and sent her flying backward like a ragdoll, her body crashing into the opposite wall with a sound like thunder.

The wall cracked.

Not a small crack, not a hairline fracture a web of splintering concrete that spread outward from the point of impact, deep and violent, the kind of damage that would take weeks to repair. Elga’s body was embedded in the wall for a moment before she slid down, crumpling into a heap at its base.

Erika watched from the observation platform above, her heart pounding, her mind racing. She had seen Elga fight. She had seen the demi-human tear through demons, shatter bones, and crush opponents with her bare hands. She had never seen her defeated so quickly, so easily, so completely.

I cannot win, Erika thought. I need to contact higher command. I need to.....

She turned away, her hand reaching for her communicator.

It was a mistake.

Erza’s eyes followed the movement, and her smile widened. It was the smile of a predator who had just spotted prey trying to flee the smile of a hunter who knew that the chase was the best part of the kill.

She dashed.

The distance between the training floor and the observation platform was nothing to her. She moved faster than Erika’s eyes could track, her body cutting through the air like a blade, her landing on the platform silent and precise.

Erika felt the world slow around her.

She saw Erza appear before her, her silver hair catching the dim light, her violet eyes gleaming with cold amusement.

Erza calmly raised one leg, her expression carrying neither anger nor excitement. It was simply the look of a superior being correcting an obvious mistake.

She leaned slightly closer.

Her voice became almost a whisper.

"Never..."

"...show your back during a fight."

The kick landed.

BOOM!

Erika’s body shot through the air before she could even scream. The impact against her stomach stole every breath from her lungs as she flew across the training hall faster than she could perceive.

She crashed into the wall beside Elga.

The reinforced surface shattered beneath the collision, leaving Erika embedded inside it for a brief moment before gravity finally pulled her broken body onto the floor.

Silence returned.

Erza quietly lowered her leg.

A trace of disappointment appeared in her violet eyes.

She had expected more.

The way Erika had calmly observed the battle made Erza believe she possessed strength worthy of her composure.

Instead...

One kick had ended the fight.

"Disappointing..."

she murmured quietly.

At that moment...

A pile of broken concrete shifted.

Erza’s gaze slowly moved toward the rubble.

Elga...

Was standing.

Barely.

Her entire body trembled uncontrollably. Blood flowed from countless wounds, dripping onto the shattered floor beneath her feet. One arm hung limply by her side while her breathing had become ragged and uneven.

The berserk state was gone.

Whether it had ended naturally or her body simply could no longer sustain it...

Even Erza couldn’t tell.

What surprised her wasn’t Elga’s condition.

It was the fact that she was still alive.

Erza’s brows slowly furrowed.

"...Impossible."

She had been certain that punch would destroy Elga’s internal organs. It should have ruptured her stomach, shattered her ribs, and left no possibility of standing again.

Yet...

She was still breathing.

Why? Erza thought. How did she survive?

For a brief moment, Erza remained silent.

Then a familiar voice echoed inside her mind.

"Love makes you weak, my Queen."

Isvarn.

Erza’s eyes widened slightly.

"...No."

She looked down at her own hand.

"...Did I really hold back?"

The thought unsettled her.

Without realizing it...

Had Yuuta already begun changing her?

Had she instinctively restrained her strength simply because Elga’s scarred body reminded her of him?

Erza slowly clenched her fist.

A quiet sigh escaped her lips before she began walking forward once more.

Each step echoed throughout the silent training hall.

Slow.

Steady.

Unavoidable.

It sounded less like footsteps...

And more like death itself approaching.

Elga struggled to remain standing.

Her vision had already become blurry, and every breath sent unbearable pain throughout her broken body. Even so, she could still see Erza walking toward her through the haze of blood and dust.

Fear...

Real fear...

Finally overwhelmed her.

Her lips trembled uncontrollably.

"M..."

"...Monster..."

The last bit of strength left her body.

Her knees gave way.

Like a fallen soldier who had reached her limit...

Elga collapsed onto the shattered floor.

Blood slowly spread beneath her broken body as every breath became heavier than the last.

The once fearless captain who had charged at Erza without hesitation could no longer even lift herself from the ground.

Erza quietly walked toward her, her footsteps echoing throughout the ruined training hall until she finally stopped beside the fallen demi-human.

Her cold violet eyes silently looked down at Elga’s pitiful state. There was no satisfaction in her expression, only disappointment directed at herself.

She still couldn’t accept what had happened during the battle. Somehow... without even realizing it, she had held back. The thought that loving her husband had weakened her killing instincts was something Erza never expected could happen to her.

"Me... m-mercy..."

The trembling voice echoed across the silent training hall.

Erza slowly turned her head toward the sound and saw Erika lying beneath a pile of broken concrete several meters away. Blood stained the captain’s uniform while her body barely responded to her commands, yet she continued dragging herself across the floor with everything she had left.

Every movement looked agonizing, but even through the pain, she desperately crawled toward Elga.

"Please..."

"Have mercy on us..."

Her voice cracked before she could finish speaking.

Tears rolled freely down her cheeks as she looked toward Erza with complete desperation. It was difficult to believe that one of humanity’s strongest captains had been reduced to begging for another person’s life.

It wasn’t because the captains lacked strength. The difference between them was simply overwhelming.

Erza’s expression never changed.

She quietly watched Erika crawl across the broken floor, and for a brief moment, old memories surfaced within her mind.

She remembered countless battlefields where she had executed enemy commanders before the eyes of their families, allowing them to witness true despair.

Back then, she believed crushing the enemy’s spirit was the greatest form of victory.

That same cold expression settled upon her face once again.

When Erika saw it, her entire body froze.

Terror gripped her heart as a forgotten memory resurfaced against her will. She remembered the day demons assaulted her Sister while she stood there powerless, unable to save the person she loved most.

The same helplessness... the same despair... returned all at once, making her whole body tremble uncontrollably.

"N-No..."

"Please..."

"We were wrong."

"Please forgive us."

"Please... let us live."

Erza ignored every desperate plea.

Without saying a single word, she slowly bent down and wrapped one clawed hand around Elga’s neck. Her sharp claws pressed against the skin, drawing thin streams of blood that slowly trickled downward. Elga offered no resistance. She simply closed her eyes, silently accepting that this would be the end of her life.

"No!"

"Please, stop!"

Erika screamed with the last strength she possessed.

She desperately crawled forward, reaching toward Erza with trembling fingers as though she could somehow stop the inevitable.

Her tears continued falling onto the shattered floor while she watched Erza’s claws slowly tighten around Elga’s throat, leaving deeper crimson lines across her neck.

Just as Erza was about to tighten her grip completely, something suddenly caught her attention. She paused for the first time since the battle had begun, and her fingers gradually loosened around Elga’s neck.

At the same moment, a calm series of footsteps echoed from the observation corridor outside the training hall, each step growing closer than the last.

Erika’s tear-filled eyes widened as soon as she recognized those footsteps. Hope instantly returned to her face despite the unbearable pain coursing through her broken body.

"...Chief."

Erza slowly turned toward the entrance.

A faint smile appeared upon her lips as she quietly looked toward the source of the approaching footsteps.

She had been waiting for Sara.
