Location: Yuuta’s Apartment Yard

Yuuta looked at Isvarn’s serious expression and immediately realized that his master had sensed something he couldn’t explain.

The ancient dragon had never reacted this way before, and that alone convinced Yuuta that whatever he had witnessed inside the Soul Realm wasn’t an ordinary illusion. If anyone in this world knew something about the World Tree or Fallen Haven, it would be Isvarn.

Taking a slow breath, Yuuta closed his eyes for a brief moment, carefully arranging the memories before speaking.

Everything still felt unbelievably vivid, yet at the same time distant, like a dream he could remember but never truly understand. A few meters behind them, Elena had fallen asleep beneath the shade of the tree after playing all morning.

She slept peacefully, completely unaware that the truth surrounding her father’s past was slowly beginning to reveal itself.

Yuuta slowly began explaining everything from the very beginning while Isvarn remained completely silent. He spoke about how Isvarn had guided him into the Soul Realm, how his consciousness had drifted into endless darkness, and how he had floated there without direction until Isvarn’s voice reached him.

He carefully described every step exactly as he remembered it, refusing to leave out even the smallest detail.

Throughout the explanation, Isvarn never interrupted him. His sharp eyes remained fixed on Yuuta while he listened with complete patience.

Every word mattered. Every detail could become the answer to the mystery that had troubled him since Yuuta awakened his aura.

Yuuta continued explaining how the giant tree had suddenly appeared before him. He described the endless darkness stretching above it, the strange feeling that the sky itself had been watching him, and the countless elves surrounding the tree while singing the Song of the Fallen.

Even as he spoke, he could still hear the melody echoing inside his mind, making it difficult to believe that everything had been nothing more than an illusion.

For the first time, Isvarn’s expression changed.

His eyes widened slightly, yet he remained completely silent, allowing Yuuta to continue without interruption.

Yuuta then spoke about touching the giant tree.

He explained how the moment his hand made contact with the trunk, everything around him disappeared before he found himself somewhere entirely different. There, he had seen a young child... himself.

He briefly explained the farewell ritual, the elder, Fallen Haven, and the conversation he had witnessed, recounting only the parts he still remembered clearly.

As the explanation came to an end, Yuuta slowly lowered his head. His expression became unusually complicated as confusion and sadness mixed together inside him. He stared at the ground for several moments before finally speaking again, his voice carrying far more emotion than before.

"I don’t know what the truth is anymore."

"I don’t know whether everything I saw was real... or just an illusion."

He slowly clenched his fists.

"I don’t remember anything about my childhood."

"If those memories were real..."

"Then who am I?"

A heavy silence settled between them.

Isvarn quietly let out a slow breath while organizing everything he had just heard. He understood why Yuuta was confused, because anyone who experienced such memories would begin questioning their own identity.

What troubled him even more, however, was that he already knew Yuuta had been created inside a laboratory. He also knew that elven blood existed within Yuuta’s body, which explained why an elf’s aura had awakened.

Yet none of those answers solved the real mystery.

If Yuuta truly possessed only an elf’s aura, then what was the overwhelming presence Isvarn had sensed earlier? The aura of a Superior Being had been real. He was absolutely certain of it. It hadn’t belonged to the elf’s aura now flowing through Yuuta’s body, and that unanswered question only made the old dragon even more confused.

Isvarn remained silent for a few moments before finally looking directly into Yuuta’s eyes.

"Is that everything you experienced?"

Yuuta slowly shook his head.

"No... there was more."

The answer immediately caught Isvarn’s attention.

He carefully studied Yuuta’s face and, for the first time since the explanation began, noticed the fear hidden within his eyes. It wasn’t ordinary confusion anymore.

Something had happened after everything Yuuta had already described, and whatever it was had frightened him enough that even remembering it made his expression change.

Isvarn’s voice became noticeably more serious.

"Then tell me everything."

"Don’t leave out a single detail."

Yuuta took a slow breath before nodding. He lowered his head for a few moments, trying to gather every memory exactly as it had happened. He didn’t know which parts were important and which weren’t, so he decided to tell Isvarn everything without hiding a single detail.

"Yes, Master," Yuuta replied quietly. "I’ll tell you everything I know."

He remained silent for another moment before finally continuing.

"After that, I watched the elves finish their ritual. They were still singing around the giant tree, and then I saw my younger self leave with... someone." Yuuta frowned, struggling to describe what he had seen.

"He looked like a human, but at the same time he didn’t. I don’t know what he was, but he was kind to my younger self. They walked away together, and then... the entire world suddenly collapsed. It didn’t break apart normally. Everything shattered into fragments, and before I understood what was happening, I found myself standing alone in complete darkness again."

Yuuta unconsciously stopped speaking.

His face had become noticeably paler, and even remembering that place made his hands tremble slightly. The fear hidden inside his eyes hadn’t disappeared since he awakened, and Isvarn immediately noticed the change.

The old dragon didn’t interrupt him because he understood that whatever came next was likely the answer to everything he had been searching for.

Without saying another word, Isvarn gently placed a hand on Yuuta’s shoulder. His usual stern expression softened ever so slightly, and his voice carried none of the strictness from before. Instead, he spoke with the patience of an elder encouraging a frightened child to continue.

"Take your time," Isvarn said calmly. "Tell me what happened next."

Yuuta nodded weakly before continuing.

"After the world collapsed and I was standing in that darkness... someone appeared in front of me." He swallowed unconsciously as the image became clearer inside his mind.

"It was a shadow figure. He slowly walked toward me and... stretched out his hand as if he wanted me to take it."

As soon as those words left Yuuta’s mouth, Isvarn’s eyes widened.

Yuuta continued speaking, unaware of his master’s reaction.

"I was terrified," he admitted honestly.

"It wasn’t like your presence... and it wasn’t like Erza’s either. Both of you are powerful, but this was completely different. I don’t know how to explain it. Just looking at him made it hard to breathe. He felt... evil, but not the kind of evil that enjoys killing."

Yuuta lowered his head again, trying to describe the feeling as accurately as possible.

"It was like I could feel everything inside him. Pain... revenge... sorrow... and endless regret. It felt like he had made countless mistakes during his life, and... somehow... he wanted to fix them. I don’t know why I felt that way, but the moment I looked at him, those emotions flooded into me."

A faint smile slowly appeared on Isvarn’s face.

At last...

He finally understood where that mysterious presence had come from.

Keeping his thoughts to himself, Isvarn calmly looked back at Yuuta.

"When that figure offered you his hand... what did you do?"

Yuuta hesitated before answering.

"I... I don’t know. I was too scared to think clearly."

"Did you touch his hand?" Isvarn asked immediately, his curiosity becoming impossible to hide.

Yuuta slowly shook his head.

"No... I didn’t."

For the first time since the conversation began, Isvarn’s voice rose slightly.

"Why?"

Yuuta looked down at his own trembling hands before answering.

"I wanted to stop myself. Before I could touch him, I forced my hand away. The moment I resisted... I suddenly felt an overwhelming power rush into my body." He slowly looked back at Isvarn. "...And after that, I woke up here."

For several long moments, neither of them spoke. Isvarn simply stared at Yuuta, his expression completely frozen.

Then, as though everything had finally clicked inside his mind, frustration suddenly erupted across his face.

"So that’s it..." Isvarn murmured, his eyes fixed on Yuuta as the pieces finally fell into place.

"I understand now."

A faint smile appeared on the old dragon’s face.

"That wasn’t an enemy reaching out to you."

"It was your own power."

For a long moment, Isvarn remained silent, finally understanding where the overwhelming presence he had sensed had disappeared to.

Then his expression darkened.

"You foolish human!"

"Do you have any idea what you’ve done?" Isvarn shouted, grabbing Yuuta by both shoulders.

"Why did you force yourself to reject the very power that belonged to you? Are you stupid?"

Yuuta’s eyes widened in confusion.

"What?" he asked. "That... was my power?"

"Yes!" Isvarn replied without hesitation. "It was your power. All you had to do was touch it, and your awakening would have been complete. You would have awakened to change your fate. Instead..." He clenched his teeth. "You cowardly ran away from it."

Ran away.

Coward.

Those words echoed inside Yuuta’s mind.

His fists slowly tightened as frustration rose within him. He looked directly at Isvarn before raising his voice.

"Do you even know how horrifying that thing was?" Yuuta said loudly. "Do you know how creepy he looked? He was the most horrifying thing I have ever seen. How could you expect me to know that it was my own power when the thing standing in front of me was literally terrifying?"

Isvarn looked at him for a few moments before letting out a short laugh.

"Horrifying?" he repeated. "You called that thing horrifying?"

"You weren’t there," Yuuta replied immediately. "That’s why you don’t understand."

"Yes," Isvarn admitted. "It’s true that I wasn’t there. But you were terrified by a shadow... and you almost ran away from it."

Yuuta paused.

Isvarn’s voice suddenly rose.

"You ran away from a shadow, calling it horrifying, when you weren’t even aware of how horrifying Nova truly is!"

Yuuta froze.

"Do you even know that the smallest creature in Nova can destroy this entire city and turn it into rubble?" Isvarn continued. "There are countless monsters in Nova constantly hunting and killing one another. From the skies to the deepest oceans, there are creatures that can tear you apart and leave you in endless agony. Even the forests hunt those who wander into them.""

Yuuta’s eyes slowly widened.

"Do you even understand the world you are about to enter?" Isvarn asked. "Not only do gods interfere there, but even celestial beings are involved. Do you honestly think Nova is some weak planet where you can carry one of your world’s pathetic weapons and survive?"

Yuuta slowly shook his head.

"No..."

"I never thought that."

"The world I come from is filled with horrors." Isvarn continued.

"It is a world where predator and prey constantly kill each other not only for survival, but sometimes simply for amusement. The world of Nova is beyond horrifying, and you should consider yourself blessed that you have never faced a true being from Nova. Even a small demon from our world almost grasped this one. Now imagine the world they came from."

Yuuta remained completely silent.

"You are blessed to be standing here on Earth," Isvarn said.

"If you had stood in Nova for this long, a Sand Worm or a Skyprey would have already eaten you. There are countless ways to die there. Entire lands are filled with creatures beyond your imagination."

He paused for a moment before looking directly into Yuuta’s eyes.

"Now tell me... is that world not horrifying? And yet you still believe that shadow was the most horrifying thing you have ever seen?"

Yuuta couldn’t answer.

He simply lowered his head, unable to find a single word to argue with.

Isvarn looked at him for a long moment before speaking again. This time his voice wasn’t as loud as before, but every word carried weight.

"The goal you wish to reach is surrounded by horrors beyond your imagination," he said. "An ordinary human could never achieve it without power. Yet I chose to trust you because I saw something within you... something different."

He let out a slow breath.

"But after seeing this pathetic side of yours..."

"...it makes me wonder whether I was wrong."

Those words struck Yuuta harder than any punch.

Everything Isvarn had told him completely shattered the image he had built of Nova. Until now, he had imagined another world filled with powerful beings and strange creatures, but he had never imagined a place where death existed behind every step. The more he listened, the more terrifying Nova became, making him realize just how ignorant he had been.

For the first time, Yuuta truly understood the gap between Earth and Nova.

Earth was a place where people feared wars, disasters, and criminals.

Nova...

Was a world where survival itself was a privilege.

Seeing Yuuta remain silent, Isvarn gradually calmed himself. The frustration on his face slowly faded as he realized there was no point in continuing to scold him. He took a slow breath before speaking again, his tone much gentler than before.

"I didn’t tell you all of this to frighten you," Isvarn said. "I told you because you need power. If you truly want to reach the truth... if you truly want to know who you are... then strength is the only path."

His eyes slowly shifted toward the apartment where Elena was sleeping peacefully.

"You have to accept yourself if you want to protect your family," he said quietly. "Otherwise..."

"...you will lose everything."

Yuuta slowly lowered his head.

Only now did he realize how ignorant he had been. He had been treating everything like another adventure, never truly understanding the kind of world Erza came from. It wasn’t a peaceful world like Earth, where countless things were taken for granted. Nova was a world ruled by powerful creatures, where the weak survived only until something stronger decided otherwise.

Yuuta slowly looked down at his own hand.

The newly awakened aura quietly flowed around his fingers like a living current.

He slowly clenched his fist.

Only now did he truly remember why he had begun chasing power in the first place.

It wasn’t for glory.

It wasn’t to prove himself to anyone.

He wanted to stand beside Erza without being left behind. He wanted to protect the family they would build together.. He wanted a future where no one could tear them apart ever again.

But after entering the Soul Realm...

Everything had changed.

His thoughts drifted back to everything he had witnessed.

The Song of the Fallen.

Fallen Haven.

The World Tree.

The shadow figure.

The fragments of his forgotten childhood.

Those weren’t random visions.

They were pieces of his own life.

Someone had hidden the truth from him, and for the first time, Yuuta realized that the answers he had searched for since childhood were no longer beyond his reach.

There was only one obstacle standing between him and the truth.

Power.

Only by becoming stronger could he continue entering the Soul Realm.

Only by becoming stronger could he uncover the origin that had been stolen from him.

And only by becoming stronger could he change the fate that sought to separate him from Erza.

He needed power.

Real power.

Yuuta slowly clenched his fist as determination replaced the fear in his eyes.

"I’ll enter the Soul Realm one more time," he said, his voice firm. "If the power to change my fate lies beyond those horrors... then I’ll walk through hell itself to obtain it."

Silence settled over the apartment yard.

Isvarn didn’t answer immediately. He simply looked at Yuuta, his expression unreadable.

Some truths...

Were never meant to be explained by another.

They had to be witnessed.

Yuuta remained standing, his fists slowly tightening. The fear inside him hadn’t disappeared, but for the first time in his life, he was willing to walk toward it instead of running away.

Somewhere...

Beyond the World Tree...

Beyond the Song of the Fallen...

Beyond the shadow that had offered him its hand...

The truth waited.
