I'm Not Your Husband, You Evil Dragon!

Chapter 222: May the Queen Live Forever

Location:- Libeus Headquarters

Place:- Training Facility

Sara ran through the underground corridor at full speed toward the training facility. The facility had two separate entrances. One led directly onto the training ground itself, the route Fiona had used earlier to hide Erza.

The other was the observation room, a place reserved for higher-ranking officers and instructors to watch battles from above. It was also the shortest route, which was why Elga and Erika had entered through it and now Sara was following the same path.

Fiona hurried after her, doing everything she could to keep up.

Her heartbeat grew faster with every passing second as countless thoughts raced through her mind. Seeing Sara’s reaction earlier had already convinced her that something was terribly wrong. Now, as they drew closer to the training facility, the uneasy feeling inside her chest only became stronger.

Please... don’t let me be too late...

Within moments, Sara reached the entrance to the observation room. She pushed the heavy door open without slowing down, but the instant she stepped inside...

Sara stopped.

She didn’t take another step.

For the first time in centuries...

Her body refused to move.

Just behind her, Fiona arrived a second later. She was about to ask what had happened, but the moment her eyes looked past Sara and into the training facility...

She froze as well.

Neither of them spoke.

Neither of them could.

Before them was a scene that resembled the aftermath of a battlefield rather than a training ground.

Erza stood silently in the center of the ruined facility.

One hand was wrapped tightly around Elga’s neck, lifting the lioness captain completely off the ground. Elga’s body hung limply in the air, covered in blood, barely showing any signs of consciousness.

Fiona’s breathing stopped.

Her eyes slowly wandered across the rest of the training hall, and the more she looked, the harder it became to believe what she was seeing.

The facility...

Was destroyed.

This wasn’t an ordinary training hall. It had been built decades ago for the older generation of captains whose battles far surpassed those of ordinary soldiers. Every wall, every pillar, and every section of the arena had been reinforced using humanity’s most advanced technology. Even a nuclear explosion would struggle to cause significant damage.

Yet now...

The walls had been torn apart.

Massive cracks stretched throughout the facility, while sections of the reinforced structure had completely collapsed. The entire hall looked as though a war between monsters had taken place inside it.

Fiona slowly shifted her gaze.

Elga...

Erika...

The two captains known for standing among humanity’s strongest warriors were lying in miserable condition. Their bodies were broken, covered in blood, and no longer capable of fighting.

Only one person remained standing.

Erza.

Fiona’s eyes slowly widened as she looked at Erza’s appearance.

The horns that had once been hidden were now completely exposed. White-violet scales covered parts of her arms, while her long tail rested calmly behind her. Even standing completely still, the overwhelming pressure surrounding her made the entire training facility feel suffocating.

Fiona had always known Erza an impossible existence. A True Monster.

But...

Fiona had never realized...

That the gap between Erza and humanity was this vast.

Only now, standing inside the ruined training facility, did she truly understand what kind of existence stood before her.

For years, Fiona had fought demons.

She had faced creatures capable of slaughtering hundreds of people. She had witnessed cities stained with blood, watched comrades die in battle, and survived encounters that should have killed her.

Yet...

None of those memories compared to what she was feeling now.

The aura radiating from Erza wasn’t something Fiona could describe with words. It wasn’t simply powerful, nor was it merely overwhelming.

It was an existence that instinctively forced every living being to acknowledge its superiority.

For a brief moment, Fiona couldn’t believe she had actually walked beside this monster earlier. She had spoken to her, guided her through the headquarters, and even tried convincing herself they could work together.

Now...

That thought seemed almost foolish.

Before anyone could say a word, a mechanical voice suddenly echoed throughout the training facility.

The artificial announcement reverberated through the damaged hall, momentarily breaking the suffocating silence that had settled over the battlefield.

"Entry granted."

"Welcome, Captain Lily."

The artificial voice echoed throughout the ruined training facility, reverberating against the shattered walls before gradually fading into silence.

Everyone instinctively turned toward the entrance.

Fiona’s eyes widened as the massive steel doors slowly began to slide open.

The heavy sound of metal scraping against metal echoed across the hall, and one by one, rows of Agency soldiers marched inside with perfect discipline. Their synchronized footsteps filled the facility, each soldier carrying a high-tech Demon Hunter rifle already raised toward the center of the battlefield.

At the front of the formation stood Captain Lily.

She lowered one hand after authorizing the entrance before silently leading the entire force inside.

More soldiers continued entering.

Then more.

The endless stream didn’t seem to stop.

Within moments, hundreds had become thousands, completely surrounding the training ground from every direction. Not a single escape route remained. Every rifle, every pair of eyes, and every heartbeat inside the facility was focused on one person.

Erza.

Walking at the very front of the formation was Captain Lily.

Her expression remained calm as she lowered the hand she had used to authorize the entry before silently leading the soldiers deeper into the training hall. Even she couldn’t hide the slight change in her eyes after witnessing the destruction surrounding her.

Fiona unconsciously held her breath.

She thought that was all the Agency had prepared.

Then...

Something else caught her attention.

It wasn’t the soldiers.

It wasn’t Captain Lily.

It was...

The walls.

At first, Fiona thought the shadows were moving because of the emergency lights flickering throughout the facility. She blinked once, believing it was only her imagination.

It wasn’t.

The shadows themselves began separating from the walls.

One...

Then another...

Then dozens.

Countless dark figures silently emerged from every corner of the training hall. They stood upon broken pillars, steel beams, shattered walls, and every elevated position overlooking the battlefield. Not a single footstep could be heard. Their appearance was so silent that it felt as though they had been watching from the darkness long before anyone realized they were there.

Fiona’s breathing stopped.

The Shadow Unit.

Captain Raven’s elite force.

The Agency’s most secretive division had revealed themselves all at once. Every shadow operative had already drawn their weapon, and without exchanging a single word, every muzzle, every blade, and every sniper sight was directed toward the same target.

Erza.

The entire training facility had transformed into a battlefield before the battle had even begun.

Yet...

Standing at the center of it all, Erza never moved.

Her claw remained wrapped around Elga’s neck, effortlessly holding the lioness captain above the ground as though she weighed nothing. Even after thousands of soldiers surrounded her and the Shadow Unit took their positions, not once did Erza glance around the room.

She simply stood there.

Calm.

Silent.

Unmoved.

It was as though the overwhelming military force before her didn’t even deserve her attention.

Fiona couldn’t say a word.

She stood frozen beside Sara, watching the impossible scene unfold before her eyes.

Only now...

Only at this very moment...

Did she truly understand what she had allowed to walk into humanity’s strongest headquarters.

Erza wasn’t merely a monster.

She was an existence beyond every monster Fiona had ever encountered.

Thousands of soldiers had surrounded her.

Captain Lily had arrived.

Captain Raven’s Shadow Unit had taken position.

The Agency’s strongest forces were gathered inside a single room.

And yet...

Looking at Erza’s calm expression...

Looking at the absolute confidence in her eyes...

Fiona couldn’t bring herself to believe...

A heavy silence settled over the training facility.

No one moved.

The ruined battlefield, the shattered walls, the collapsed pillars, and the broken bodies of two captains were enough to silence every soldier present. Even the veterans who had survived countless battles found themselves unable to take their eyes off the woman standing at the center of the destruction.

Erza stood there in complete dominance.

Her claw remained wrapped around Elga’s neck, effortlessly holding the lioness captain above the ground. Blood slowly dripped from Elga’s neck onto the cracked floor while Erika remained collapsed nearby, struggling to stay conscious. Neither of humanity’s strongest captains could even continue the fight.

Captain Lily slowly stepped forward.

Her gaze never left Erza.

She could hear the frightened breathing of the soldiers behind her, but she couldn’t allow fear to spread any further. Taking a slow breath, she clenched her teeth before raising one hand toward the battlefield.

"Soldiers..."

"Aim."

"Yes, Captain!"

The reply echoed in perfect unison.

Thousands of rifles were raised at the same time.

The sound of weapons locking echoed throughout the training hall as countless red laser sights instantly covered Erza’s body. One after another, glowing dots appeared across her forehead, chest, arms, and heart until her entire body was surrounded by crimson lights.

Every soldier tightened their grip around the trigger.

Some swallowed nervously.

Others couldn’t stop their hands from trembling.

No one doubted the order.

But everyone feared the consequence of carrying it out.

The entire battlefield waited for a single command.

One word...

That would decide whether humanity declared war against the monster before them.

Before Captain Lily could speak again—

"Enough."

Sara’s voice calmly echoed throughout the training hall.

It wasn’t loud.

She didn’t shout.

Yet somehow...

Every single person heard her.

The command immediately broke the suffocating silence.

Captain Lily turned.

Captain Raven’s Shadow Unit shifted their attention.

Thousands of soldiers instinctively looked toward the observation platform where Sara slowly stepped forward.

Her eyes never left Erza.

"Lower your weapons."

Her calm voice echoed once more.

"This isn’t something you can stop."

Silence followed.

Captain Lily’s eyes widened.

Even Captain Raven remained motionless within the shadows.

For several seconds, nobody moved.

The order they had just received was simply too unbelievable.

Then...

One after another...

The soldiers slowly lowered their rifles.

No one questioned Sara.

No one dared disobey.

But whispers immediately spread throughout the ranks.

"Chief ordered us to stand down..."

"Why?"

"Captain Elga is being held hostage..."

"Captain Erika can’t even stand..."

"What are we supposed to do now?"

Fear quietly spread through the formation.

Every soldier had witnessed the same battle.

One captain was hanging helplessly in Erza’s grasp.

The other lay on the ground, covered in blood.

The strongest captains they admired had been defeated so effortlessly that many soldiers had already begun questioning whether victory was even possible.

Captain Lily could no longer remain silent.

She took another step forward, her eyes filled with confusion.

"But, Chief..."

"Why are you stopping us?"

Before she could finish speaking—

A crimson aura erupted from Sara’s body.

The pressure instantly swept across the entire training facility like a tidal wave. Every whisper disappeared. Every soldier straightened instinctively, while even the captains fell silent. The familiar vampire aura told everyone the same thing.

Sara...

Was no longer speaking as their commander.

She was stepping onto the battlefield herself.

Across the ruined training hall...

A faint smile slowly appeared on Erza’s face.

"Interesting..."

she murmured quietly.

From the very beginning...

She had been waiting for this moment.

Because she already knew...

Sara was the strongest warrior in the Agency.

The entire training facility remained silent as Sara took her first step forward. Every footstep echoed throughout the ruined hall, drawing everyone’s attention toward her.

Without saying a word, she walked to the edge of the observation platform before calmly jumping down onto the battlefield below.

She landed lightly upon the shattered floor, sending a small cloud of dust into the air before continuing forward without hesitation.

Fiona watched everything from above, her heartbeat growing faster with every passing second.

She had no idea what Sara intended to do, but one thing was certain once the Chief stepped onto the battlefield herself, there would be no turning back.

The soldiers standing before Sara instinctively moved aside, creating a path through the formation without receiving a single order.

Even Captain Lily stepped aside, lowering her weapon, while Captain Raven remained hidden among the shadows, silently observing every movement.

Across the battlefield, Erza quietly watched Sara approach.

Without taking her eyes off the vampire, she loosened her grip around Elga’s neck.

The lioness captain fell heavily onto the cracked floor, her unconscious body rolling slightly before becoming still.

Erza then folded her arms across her chest and remained exactly where she stood, calmly waiting for Sara to reach her as though the thousands of soldiers surrounding them didn’t exist.

Step after step, Sara continued walking until only a few meters separated them.

Neither woman spoke.

They simply looked into each other’s eyes while the entire training facility held its breath. The suffocating pressure between them was enough to make many soldiers unconsciously tighten their grip on their weapons again, while others silently prayed that a fight wouldn’t begin.

Captain Lily’s palms were already covered in sweat as she watched the two women stand face to face. Captain Raven quietly shifted his stance inside the shadows, prepared to move the instant Sara gave an order.

Fiona herself couldn’t breathe properly anymore.

She had imagined countless possibilities after bringing Erza into the Agency, but never once had she imagined witnessing the strongest protector of humanity confronting the very monster she had escorted inside.

Several seconds passed in complete silence.

Neither of them attacked.

Neither of them showed even the slightest intention of making the first move.

The longer the silence continued, the heavier the atmosphere became until it felt as though the entire training facility might collapse beneath the pressure alone.

Then...

Sara moved.

Slowly...

Very slowly...

She lowered one leg.

Captain Lily’s eyes widened in confusion.

Raven unconsciously stepped out from the shadows, unable to understand what his Chief was doing. Fiona’s lips parted slightly, believing Sara was lowering her stance to begin the battle.

But the movement didn’t stop.

Sara lowered her other knee as well.

Her body slowly descended until one knee touched the shattered floor. The sound of metal against broken stone echoed softly throughout the silent training facility, yet that small sound felt louder than an explosion.

No one understood.

The soldiers stared blankly.

Captain Lily’s mind went completely empty.

Even Captain Raven, who had followed Sara for years, couldn’t believe what She was witnessing.

The woman standing before them wasn’t just their Chief.

She was Sara Noctis Valemore.

The ruler who commanded humanity from the shadows.

The greatest rival the demon world had ever known.

The founder who had built the Agency and raised generations of warriors.

The woman who had never bowed before kings...

Never bowed before nations...

Never bowed before demons...

Slowly lowered her head before Erza.

A stunned silence swept across the training facility.

Even the sound of breathing seemed to disappear.

Then, with her head still lowered, Sara spoke in a voice filled with absolute respect.

"May the Queen live forever."
