"He was my prince," Sister Mary said, her voice carrying a quiet certainty.
"Yuuta is the prince of the Sylavirous Kingdom."
Sara’s eyes widened immediately.
"The prince of the Sylavirous Kingdom... is human?"
For several seconds, genuine confusion covered her face. When Sister Mary had first called Yuuta my prince, Sara had assumed it was some kind of affectionate title, perhaps a metaphor showing how precious he was to her. The possibility that she had meant an actual royal title hadn’t even crossed Sara’s mind.
Sister Mary nodded.
"Yes. It’s a long story, but Yuuta is a rightful prince of the Sylavirous Kingdom And when I call him my prince, I mean it personally as well. I was the one who raised him."
Sara stopped walking for a moment.
"Wait... are you serious right now?"
Sister Mary glanced back at her.
"Completely."
Sara quickly caught up, but her expression remained utterly confused. The more she learned about this mysterious human, the less anything seemed to make sense.
"Saint, you’re making this more complicated every time you answer me." Sara lifted a hand toward her forehead. "First I find out Her Majesty has a husband. Fine, shocking enough. Then I learn that husband is human, somehow became the mate of a Dragon Queen and they even have a Child together."
She looked at Sister Mary in disbelief.
"And now you’re telling me the same human is the rightful prince of an elven kingdom? What’s next?"
Sister Mary gave her a small look but said nothing.
Sara’s curiosity only grew.
"Who is this human, Saint? Seriously, I want to know now." She stared at Sister Mary as though the elf were deliberately hiding the most interesting story she had heard in centuries.
"Every time you tell me something about him, another impossible thing appears. At this point, it feels like he’s the main character of some ridiculous story."
Despite herself, Sister Mary nearly smiled at that description.
"I’m sorry. I know you’re curious, but there are things about Yuuta I can’t reveal simply because someone asks me."
Sara raised an eyebrow.
"Even to me?"
"Even to you." Sister Mary’s expression became more serious. "There are reasons his identity has been kept hidden, particularly from those who might become his enemies. So for now, just think of Yuuta as... a special case."
Sara remained dissatisfied, but she understood from Sister Mary’s tone that she wouldn’t get anything more.
"I see. So there’s far more behind this human than there appears to be."
"Much more," Sister Mary admitted. "Even the complete truth surrounding his origin is complicated. What matters to me is that he’s my prince, and I was given responsibility for making sure he could live a good life here."
Sara’s expression gradually became thoughtful.
That single explanation suddenly answered a question she had carried for a long time.
She had never completely understood why Sister Mary, an elf, had involved herself so deeply in humanity’s affairs. Becoming known as humanity’s Holy Saint was already strange enough for someone of her race, but Sister Mary had gone even further by using her influence and resources to help establish the Agency itself.
Earlier, Sister Mary had explained that fighting demons began because their aura was hurting Yuuta.
Now Sara understood there was even more behind it.
So all of this really started because of one human...
The thought was almost ridiculous.
Her Majesty was willing to sell an entire Agency for him. The Holy Saint had entered humanity’s war because demons were hurting him. An elven Queen had apparently entrusted Sister Mary with ensuring he lived well, and somewhere within all of this, Yuuta had become both an elven prince and the mate of the Dragon Queen.
Sara glanced toward Sister Mary.
Who the hell is this guy?
She hadn’t even met Yuuta yet, and somehow she was already convinced of one thing.
This human was definitely not ordinary.
Sister Mary’s footsteps suddenly slowed, pulling Sara from her thoughts.
"There’s one more thing, Sara."
Something in her voice made Sara’s amusement disappear.
"What is it?"
Sister Mary hesitated for a moment before continuing.
"Please make sure Yuuta is protected."
Sara’s eyebrows drew together.
"Protected? Why? Did you sense something?"
"I don’t know." Sister Mary shook her head, and the uncertainty in her expression made the answer more concerning. "I’ve had an uncomfortable feeling since I sensed those demons approaching. I can’t tell whether it actually means something or whether I’m simply worrying too much."
Sara watched her carefully.
"You think they’re coming for Yuuta?"
"I’m not saying that." Sister Mary was careful with her answer. "We don’t have enough information for me to make that conclusion. But something about this attack feels strange, as though they’re coming here for something specific. It’s only a guess, but..."
She paused briefly before looking directly at Sara.
"...please. I’d rather be wrong while Yuuta is protected than be right after something happens to him."
Sara didn’t need much convincing.
"Don’t worry. The moment I learned he’s Her Majesty’s husband, I was already considering placing an elite unit around him. After everything you’ve just told me, I’m definitely doing it."
Sister Mary’s expression eased slightly.
"Good. That would make me feel much better."
Sara sighed as they continued toward the war hall.
"Besides, I have another reason to keep him safe. Those approaching demons are already enough trouble for one day. I don’t want to imagine what happens to this world if Her Majesty discovers we allowed something to happen to her husband."
Sister Mary couldn’t help giving her a small smile.
"On that point, Sara..."
Her voice carried complete agreement.
"...I believe you’re making a very wise decision."

Location: Atlantis Ocean
The Atlantis Ocean had always possessed an unnatural silence. Even when storms disturbed the surrounding seas, there were regions where the water remained strangely calm, as though something beneath the surface demanded that the ocean remain undisturbed. Ancient sailors had created countless stories about those waters, yet none of them had ever known what truly slept beneath them.
Today, that silence had completely disappeared. Massive waves rolled across the ocean one after another as an enormous creature moved beneath the surface, its body alone disturbing miles of water and leaving violent currents behind it.
The creature had appeared throughout human history under countless names the World Serpent, the Great Sea Snake and many others until generations of retelling had reduced it to nothing more than mythology.
But the creature had never been a myth.
Leviathan was real, and now it was heading directly toward Liebus.
Zeri sat comfortably upon the enormous monster’s head while General Malakar stood several meters behind him with his arms folded.
Despite the tremendous speed at which they traveled, Malakar remained perfectly balanced, his attention fixed upon the distant horizon as Leviathan carried them across the ocean.
Behind them followed an army unlike anything humanity would expect to see approaching its shores.
Thousands of demons crossed the sea upon corrupted creatures, with enormous dolphins repeatedly breaking through the surface while monstrous octopuses and other twisted beasts moved through the water beneath them.
Their combined movement transformed the usually silent ocean into a chaotic path of waves stretching far behind Leviathan.
Zeri glanced backward at the army and smiled with obvious excitement. He had been waiting for something entertaining ever since Allen ordered him to participate in this invasion, and the thought of finally reaching Liebus was already making him impatient.
His amusement disappeared when Leviathan suddenly began slowing down.
At first, Zeri barely noticed it. Then the legendary creature came to a complete stop in the middle of the ocean, causing the waves behind them to crash violently against its enormous body. The demonic army following them gradually slowed as well, one group after another realizing that their greatest monster had unexpectedly stopped moving.
Zeri steadied himself and looked down at the creature beneath him.
"Uff... Terry? What’s wrong with you?"
Leviathan gave no response to the ridiculous nickname. Instead, its enormous head slowly rose farther above the ocean, water pouring from its scales while its attention remained fixed toward the distant direction of Liebus.
Zeri waited several seconds before his expression became more serious.
"Oi, Terry. Don’t tell me you’re tired already."
There was still no response. Leviathan simply remained there, staring toward something neither Zeri nor the thousands of demons behind them could see.
Zeri finally turned toward Malakar.
"General, is something wrong with Terry? He hasn’t stopped once since we started moving."
Malakar didn’t answer immediately. He had already noticed the unusual behavior and was carefully observing the legendary creature, particularly the way its attention remained completely fixed upon the horizon.
"He felt something."
Zeri blinked before following Malakar’s gaze.
"Something? You mean there’s something ahead?"
"Most likely." Malakar’s eyes narrowed. "A creature like Leviathan wouldn’t suddenly stop in the middle of an invasion without a reason. Whatever it sensed was significant enough to make it hesitate."
Zeri’s expression slowly changed. He knew exactly what kind of creature was carrying them, and although he enjoyed treating Leviathan like some enormous pet, he wasn’t foolish enough to underestimate it.
"Wait... you’re saying something in Liebus made Terry hesitate?"
Malakar remained silent for a few seconds before answering.
"I don’t know whether hesitation is the correct word, but something certainly caught his attention."
Zeri looked toward the distant horizon again, but this time his eyes carried genuine curiosity. Liebus wasn’t even visible from their current position, yet something inside that country had apparently reached Leviathan’s senses from this distance.
"How powerful would something have to be for him to notice it from here?"
"I don’t know."
Zeri immediately looked back at Malakar. Hearing the general admit uncertainty so casually made the situation far more interesting than he had expected.
Malakar slowly unfolded his arms as a particular memory returned to him. Before their departure, Allen had given several instructions regarding the invasion, but one of them had seemed strangely specific at the time.
If Leviathan hesitated while approaching Liebus, their strategy was to change immediately.
Malakar had originally believed that condition would never matter. Leviathan was supposed to be their greatest weapon during the invasion, and the possibility of something on Earth making such a creature hesitate had seemed almost ridiculous.
Yet Allen had anticipated exactly what was happening now.
Malakar’s expression darkened as he looked toward the legendary monster beneath his feet.
"His Majesty expected this."
Zeri turned toward him in surprise.
"The Demon King?"
"Before we departed, His Majesty told me what to do if Leviathan showed hesitation while approaching Liebus. I didn’t understand why he considered that possibility important at the time, but apparently he knew there was a chance something like this would happen."
Zeri remained quiet as he searched his own memory, and after several seconds, he remembered Allen giving the same strange warning. He had barely paid attention at the time because the idea of Leviathan hesitating against anything humanity possessed had sounded absurd.
A slow smile appeared on his face.
"So His Majesty knew something interesting might be waiting there."
Malakar didn’t answer. Instead, he turned toward the enormous demonic army waiting across the ocean behind them and slowly raised one hand.
Demonic energy gathered around him before his voice spread across the sea.
"All forces, listen carefully. This is a direct order from His Majesty the Demon King. The condition he warned us about before our departure has occurred, which means the restrictions placed upon this invasion are no longer necessary."
The demons gradually became silent as they listened. Many of them had already begun smiling, understanding from Malakar’s tone that the operation was about to become far less controlled.
"When we reach Liebus, spread throughout the country and create as much chaos as possible. Do not allow humanity to contain us within one battlefield. Destroy their defenses, attack wherever you encounter resistance and force every powerful creature hiding within that country to reveal itself."
Excitement immediately spread throughout the army. Demonic laughter mixed with the crashing waves while several monsters became restless beneath their riders, almost as though they could feel the bloodlust spreading among the demons.
Zeri’s smile widened as Allen’s original instruction finally became clear inside his mind.
"If Leviathan hesitates, spread chaos throughout the entire country..." he murmured before looking toward Liebus. "So His Majesty really did plan for this."
Malakar gave him a warning look.
"Don’t mistake permission for chaos as permission to forget our objective, Zeri."
Zeri placed one hand against his chest with exaggerated innocence.
"General, I’m offended. When have I ever forgotten an objective?"
Malakar stared at him for several seconds.
Zeri’s smile weakened slightly.
"...Fine. There were a few times."
Malakar decided that continuing the conversation would only irritate him.
His attention returned to Leviathan, which still hadn’t moved. The enormous creature remained focused on the distant country as though it were attempting to understand whatever presence had caught its attention.
Then its body suddenly tensed.
A deep vibration traveled through the scales beneath their feet, causing Zeri’s playful expression to disappear. The sound continued growing until Leviathan raised its head toward the sky and released an enormous roar across the ocean.
The force of that roar disturbed the sea itself. Waves spread outward from Leviathan while several weaker monsters within the demonic army instinctively recoiled, and even some of the demons lowered themselves against their mounts as the ancient sound traveled across the open water.
Zeri watched the creature beneath him with growing excitement.
"Now that’s more like it, Terry."
Malakar remained focused on Leviathan as the roar gradually faded. Whatever the creature had sensed hadn’t disappeared, but something in its behavior had changed. The hesitation was slowly being replaced by aggression.
Leviathan lowered its enormous head toward the ocean again.
Malakar understood the signal.
"So you’ve decided to continue."
He raised one hand toward the distant horizon as Leviathan’s body began moving beneath them again.
"All forces, prepare to move. We reach Liebus before nightfall, and once we arrive, carry out His Majesty’s orders exactly as instructed."
Leviathan suddenly accelerated, causing the ocean behind it to erupt into enormous waves. Thousands of demons immediately followed upon their corrupted sea creatures, and within moments the entire army was once again rushing across the Atlantis Ocean.
Malakar remained standing upon Leviathan’s head, his eyes fixed upon the country waiting somewhere beyond the horizon. He still didn’t know what the legendary creature had sensed, why Allen had predicted its hesitation or what kind of enemy was waiting for them in Liebus.
For now, none of those questions changed his orders.
The demonic army continued forward, and with every passing minute, the distance separating them from Liebus became smaller.
