The moment Rosa realized Luca already had a girlfriend and was buying her a villa, a flicker of disappointment crossed her face.

It disappeared almost as quickly as it came.

She knew that even if the woman standing beside him wasn’t the one he’d chosen, it would only have been someone equally beautiful.

Someone like her had never really stood a chance.

After taking one look at Sophie, that fact became even clearer. Luca’s standards were obviously sky-high. Even the prettiest woman in the sales office, couldn’t compare to Sophie, let alone anyone else.

Pushing those thoughts aside, Rosa led the couple through the villa.

Like Villa No. 1, it featured a basement and three floors above ground. The overall layout was nearly identical, though the total floor area was only about two-thirds the size of Luca’s own residence.

Even so, it was still an impressive home.

Five bedrooms, three living rooms, a maid’s room, a private theater, and plenty of open space made it more than luxurious enough for an entire family.

"So?" Luca asked with a smile, giving Sophie’s hand a gentle squeeze. "Do you like it?"

Personally, he was already sold.

The built-in elevator alone made the villa worth buying since it would make life much easier for Diana. The rooftop terrace could easily be transformed into a beautiful sky garden where she could spend her free time tending flowers. She no longer had to worry about supporting the family, so gardening would be the perfect hobby.

There were also enough spare rooms to redesign however they wanted.

One could become Daisy’s princess bedroom.

Another could be turned into Rachel’s dream gaming room.

"It really is beautiful..." Sophie admitted quietly before biting her lip. "But isn’t it too expensive?"

She would have been lying if she said she didn’t love it.

Anyone would.

The problem was the price.

One million dollars.

In a city like Ashford, a normal house could be bought for under one hundred thousand dollars. That amount of money could purchase nearly ten ordinary homes, and with careful planning there would still be enough left over for renovations.

Even most villas in Ashford sold for only three or four hundred thousand dollars.

Only an exclusive neighborhood like Stillwater Bay could command prices this high.

Luca wrapped an arm around her slender waist.

"So what?"

He smiled as though it were the most natural thing in the world.

"If you like it, we’ll buy it. It’ll make visiting your family much more convenient."

Without giving her another chance to object, he turned toward Rosa.

"This one will do. I can transfer the payment right now."

Even though she’d expected him to say yes, Rosa still struggled to contain her excitement.

A few months ago, she’d earned more than ten thousand dollars in commission after selling Villa No. 1 to Luca.

Now another commission of almost the same size was about to land in her lap.

At this rate, buying her own apartment in Ashford would soon become a reality.

’Luca really is my lucky star...’

She couldn’t help smiling.

For years, relatives had mocked her for becoming a real estate agent after graduating from college. They claimed she’d wasted her education.

Now she could earn in two or three months what many of them couldn’t make in several years.

She couldn’t wait to see the looks on their faces.

After Rosa returned with the contract, Sophie finally gave in.

With a helpless smile, she signed her name.

[DING!]

[The host has spent $1,000,000 on Sophie Kennedy.]

[Critical Hit Reward Activated!]

[Congratulations! You have obtained complete EUV Photolithography Machine Technology.]

Luca’s eyes immediately lit up.

An EUV lithography machine.

This was the first true technology-related return he’d ever received.

Money no longer meant much to him.

But this...

This was priceless.

One of the biggest reasons the domestic semiconductor industry lagged behind the world’s leading manufacturers was the lack of EUV lithography technology.

Compared to another pile of cash, this reward was infinitely more valuable.

After purchasing the villa, Luca immediately instructed Mason Reid to hire a renovation company.

The house was already fully furnished and could be lived in immediately, but there were still plenty of details worth changing.

The layout needed to better suit Sophie’s family.

Daisy’s princess bedroom had to be designed from scratch.

Rachel’s gaming room also needed to be completed as soon as possible.

That evening, on his final night in Ashford, Luca hosted a banquet for the entire management team of Stone Free Grand Hotel.

The atmosphere was lively.

One toast followed another, and by the end of the night nearly everyone had raised a glass with him.

By the time the dinner ended, he was already slightly dizzy.

In the end, Sophie drove him home herself.

The following morning, everyone boarded the private jet arranged by Morgan, bound for San Fierro.

"I never imagined my first flight would be on a private plane."

Mr. Hale looked around with sparkling eyes, running his hand over every seat and cabinet like an excited child.

"If I told people this back home, nobody would believe me."

Instead of feeling nervous before takeoff, he looked completely fascinated.

Mrs. Hale couldn’t help laughing.

"Our son really has become something, hasn’t he?"

Mr. Hale puffed out his chest proudly.

"If it weren’t for my excellent genes, do you think he’d be this outstanding?"

Mrs. Hale simply rolled her eyes and smiled without replying.

Everyone aboard was looking forward to the trip.

Well...

Almost everyone.

Luca was beginning to feel nervous.

Once they reached San Fierro, Sophie would inevitably meet Naomi, Vivienne, Arabella, and the others.

Looking back now...

Maybe he’d acted a little too quickly.

’With Vivienne there... hopefully nothing goes wrong.’

Just as he was lost in thought, a soft hand slipped into his.

"You’re nervous."

Sophie leaned her head gently against his shoulder.

"...A little."

He rubbed the bridge of his nose with an embarrassed smile.

"You don’t have to be."

She looked up at him.

"I’ve never met them in person, but we’re already acquainted online."

Luca froze.

"What?"

His eyes widened.

Naomi, Vivienne, and Arabella all knew one another.

But Sophie...

There was only one possible explanation.

"Trish."

He slowly said his sister’s name.

Sophie burst into laughter.

"She’s smarter than you think."

"Your sister has been working very hard for your future happiness."

She still didn’t know exactly what the others looked like.

About a week earlier, however, Trish had started chatting with her.

After getting Sophie’s permission, she’d added her to a group chat with Vivienne, Naomi and Arabella.

Over the past several days, they’d become surprisingly familiar.

While Sophie still didn’t know what meeting them in person would feel like, her impression of them had been far better than she’d expected.

Eventually, the plane touched down in San Fierro.

Before the cabin door even opened, Roman Pierce’s staff were already waiting outside.

"Welcome back, Boss."

Carl Houston was once again leading the reception team.

"We’ve got quite a few people and even more luggage," Luca said after stepping off the plane.

"No problem."

Carl smiled confidently.

"General Manager Pierce arranged five vehicles in advance."

"Perfect."

The convoy pulled away from the airport in grand fashion, heading toward the Elvis Muskov Villa District.

Daisy pressed her face against the window, staring excitedly at the unfamiliar city passing by.

Even Rachel, who normally couldn’t put her phone down, looked up and watched the scenery in fascination.

Trish had shown her countless photos of San Fierro and San Fierro University.

Now she was finally seeing everything with her own eyes.

Of course...

She was already planning to visit the city’s internet cafés and esports hotels as soon as possible.

Meanwhile, Carl couldn’t help glancing into the rearview mirror.

His gaze settled on Sophie, who was holding Daisy in her arms.

’I knew it...’

’So the boss’s wife is this petite and adorable...’

’Still, I never expected their daughter to be this old already.’

Almost immediately, he rejected that conclusion.

’No...’

’There’s no way that’s Boss’s biological daughter.’

Just then, Daisy turned toward Luca.

"Brother Luca!"

Carl’s eyes widened.

’I knew it!’

’Boss really is committed to the act.’

’So what if you like married women? Why keep pretending?’

He couldn’t stop his imagination from running wild.

’The little girl calls Boss "Brother Luca"...’

’So what does Boss’s wife call him?’

’Little brother?’

’Husband?’

’Or...’

A strange thought suddenly popped into his head.

’Surely she doesn’t call him "Daddy"...’

He paused.

’...Actually... in certain situations... maybe that’s not impossible.’
