Infinite Mana: I Am The Absolute Supreme

Chapter 149: An immortal came to visit

Victor looked toward his mother and sister, his expression remaining calm despite the urgency in Astrion’s voice.

"I need to leave for a while. Something has happened outside the city."

His mother immediately frowned. "Something dangerous?"

"It should not be a problem. I will be back soon."

Noelle looked at him suspiciously. "You are not going to fight some monster again, are you?"

Victor smiled helplessly.

"Nothing like that. Just stay here and continue shopping. I will handle it."

Before either of them could say anything else, Victor glanced at the bags in his hands.

"We should store these first."

Noelle nodded and activated the space ring on her finger. A faint spatial fluctuation spread outward, and the numerous bags and boxes disappeared one after another.

Victor’s hands finally became empty.

"Much better."

He glanced toward his mother and sister one final time.

"I will be back soon."

Then his figure blurred.

The next instant, Victor vanished from the shopping mall.

Far away from Aurora City, hundreds of thousands of kilometers from any major civilization, space rippled.

Victor’s figure emerged in the middle of an enormous frozen continent.

Snow covered the land as far as the eye could see. Towering mountains stretched across the horizon, their peaks buried beneath thick layers of eternal ice.

This was one of the most isolated regions on Earth.

There were no cities.

No humans.

No ordinary creatures.

Only endless snow and ancient mountains.

Victor’s expression became serious.

He immediately sensed the abnormal spatial fluctuation ahead.

Several kilometers away, beside a massive mountain range, a dark vortex hovered above the frozen ground.

The portal was completely black. With every passing second, the portal expanded slightly.

Yet strangely, nothing had emerged from it.

Victor narrowed his eyes.

"Astrion, do you know what this abyss is?"

Astrion’s small body appeared beside Victor’s head, its expression unusually serious.

"Master, the Abyss is a dark dimension."

Victor listened quietly.

"As far as I know, we live in a Light Dimension. Apart from it, there are several other great dimensions, including the Hell Dimension, Heaven Dimension, Life Dimension, and others. There are seven major dimensions in total."

Astrion paused before continuing.

"Each dimension exists independently and is separated from the others by an enormous barrier. However, every once in a while, those barriers weaken. When that happens, one dimension may invade another."

Victor looked at the growing portal.

"For resources?"

"For resources, territory, laws, treasures, and blood."

Astrion’s expression became solemn.

"Whenever dimensions collide, enormous wars break out. Countless beings die. Entire worlds can be destroyed during such conflicts."

Victor remained silent for several seconds.

"So that is how it works."

His gaze became sharper.

"But something does not make sense. I thought the universe had already locked the Abyssal portals to the Universal Battlefield. How did another portal appear here?"

Astrion shook its tiny head.

"Master, the Abyssals are extremely bloodthirsty creatures. But they also maintain their hierarchy very strictly."

"What does that have to do with this?"

"Your universe is not the only universe they are invading."

Astrion pointed toward the portal.

"They have invaded countless universes throughout the endless dimension. Some of those universes are powerful enough to resist them. Others are completely helpless. They use blood sacrifice to open the portals. The lower abyssals threw their life like moths. That’s why everywhere they invade, they become helpless."

"Your universe is a rogue universe. Such a universe naturally cannot maintain its defenses forever. If the Abyssals continue applying pressure from outside, eventually the dimensional barriers will weaken in unexpected places."

Victor stared at the portal.

"So they found another opening."

"Most likely."

Astrion’s voice became lower.

"And there is something else you should know."

"What?"

"The Abyssals have beings at extremely terrifying levels."

Victor’s eyes narrowed.

"How terrifying?"

"There are even Chaos God level Abyssals."

Victor’s expression changed slightly.

Astrion continued.

"They are called Titans."

The word seemed to carry an invisible weight.

Victor remained silent.

A Chaos God.

Even Astrion had previously explained that such beings stood at the pinnacle of existence within the known hierarchy.

And now he was being told that the Abyss possessed creatures of that level.

"The Abyss is more dangerous than I thought."

"Far more dangerous."

Astrion glanced toward the portal.

"I can destroy this portal now because it has not fully matured yet."

Victor thought for a moment. Then an unusual idea emerged in his mind.

"Can I enter the Abyss?"

Astrion immediately became silent. After several seconds, it answered.

"Maybe."

Victor’s eyes brightened slightly.

"But it would be extremely risky. Master, you should not think about entering the Abyss for now."

Victor chuckled.

"I was only asking."

Astrion stared at him. It clearly did not believe him.

Victor sighed.

"Fine. Destroy the portal for now."

"As you command."

Astrion raised its tiny paw.

But before it could act,Astrion suddenly stopped.

His eyes shifted.

Someone was standing behind them.

Victor’s pupils contracted as he too looked behind. He had not sensed his arrival.

Not even slightly.

The man simply stood there, dressed in an elegant dark robe. His expression was calm, and there was not the slightest hostility in his posture.

Yet Victor felt something deeply unsettling. It was as though the man did not exist. His eyes could see him. His mind could perceive him. But his senses could not lock onto his presence.

"Astrion?"

Astrion’s expression instantly became grim.

"Master, be careful. This is an Immortal."

Victor’s heart skipped a beat.

An Immortal?

What was an Immortal doing here?

The man smiled.

"Hello. I am Krecious Obary. It is nice to meet you, Mr. Walker."

Victor remained cautious. However, he did not sense any killing intent. Astrion confirmed it immediately.

"Master, there is no hostility from him."

Victor relaxed slightly.

He looked at the man.

"May I know what an Immortal is doing here in my humble abode?"

Krecious’s eyebrows rose. He seemed genuinely surprised. Then his gaze shifted toward Astrion, who was sitting on Victor’s shoulder.

A faint smile appeared on his face.

"Of course."

He looked back at Victor.

"I came here by the decree of the Eight Ancients."

Victor’s expression changed.

"The Eight Ancients?"

Krecious nodded.

"If you have some time, I have many things to tell you."

Victor studied him carefully.

"Who are these Eight Ancients?"

"They are beings who were born alongside this universe."

Krecious spoke with great respect.

"The eight guardians protecting this universe from threats beyond its boundaries."

Astrion immediately spoke through their mental connection.

"Master, they are probably Cosmic Realm entities."

Victor’s eyes narrowed.

Eight Cosmic Realm beings.

That was certainly not a group he could casually ignore.

"All right."

Victor looked toward Krecious.

"What do you want to tell me?"

Krecious did not answer immediately. Instead, he looked toward the Abyssal portal.

"First, if you permit me, I will destroy this portal."

Victor nodded.

"Go ahead."

Krecious raised one hand and waved it. The black portal vanished instantly.

The space where it had existed returned to normal as if the portal had never appeared.

Victor’s pupils contracted.

He could not even understand what Krecious had done.

"Astrion, what did he do just now?"

"He used the authority of the Laws of Space and Time.He did not destroy the portal through brute force. He erased that section of space-time itself.", Astrion explained.

Victor’s expression became solemn. As expected of an Immortal.

Krecious then raised his hand again. A spatial portal appeared behind him. The portal was completely different from the Abyssal portal.

"If you please, follow me."

Krecious smiled gently.

"I would like to show you something first. After you see it, you will have a better understanding of what I am about to tell you."

Victor stared at the portal.

He hesitated. There was no guarantee that this was not a trap. If the Eight Ancients wanted to kill him, could Astrion protect him?

Probably not.

At least, not yet.

Victor’s eyes narrowed.

"Astrion?"

"Master."

Astrion floated slightly higher.

"I understand your concern. But I do not sense any trap."

"Are you certain?"

"No."

Astrion’s answer was straightforward.

"I cannot guarantee anything against beings of that level."

Victor remained silent. Then Astrion continued.

"But this universe of yours is extremely special."

Victor’s eyebrows rose.

"Why?"

Astrion’s expression became thoughtful.

"Because giving birth to a Chaos Physique before completing the first Eonic Cycle should be impossible under normal circumstances."

Victor’s expression changed.

"Are you saying this universe should not have been able to produce me?"

"Exactly."

Astrion’s voice became excited.

"That is why I want to know its history too. There must be something extraordinary hidden within this universe."

Victor looked at Krecious.

The Immortal merely stood there patiently, waiting for his decision.

After a moment, Victor smiled.

"Very well."

He stepped toward the portal. Now even he was interested to what this immortal wanted to tell him and why he was being so polite?

Was it because he knew Astrion was an immortal too or there were some other reasons?
