The young man could not stop staring.

"That is impossible," he muttered, shaking his head as if trying to clear water from his ears. "A Sovereign cannot output Nebula-level destruction. The energy foundation alone would not support it. Your body should have collapsed the moment you released that much power."

"And yet, here I am," Victor said, spreading his hands slightly. "Still standing. Still breathing."

The young man’s eyes swept over Victor’s body again, searching for some hidden clue, artifact, or bloodline mark that could explain what he had just witnessed. He found nothing unusual. Victor looked like an ordinary human cultivator, completely unremarkable in every visible aspect.

That made the situation even more disturbing.

"What is your name?" the young man finally asked, his voice noticeably quieter now.

"Mr. Walker."

"Mr. Walker? Which faction? Which legion?"

"Does it matter?"

The young man opened his mouth to argue, but no words came out. On the Universal Battlefield, factions mattered far less than results, and the result was standing directly in front of him in the form of a massive smoking crater filled with vaporized Abyssals.

"I am Reyes," the young man finally introduced himself. "Third Envoy of the Thessari Alliance. I was sent to inspect the outer perimeter after reports of unusual energy fluctuations reached core command. I certainly did not expect to find a Sovereign responsible for them."

"Now you know."

Reyes glanced beyond Victor toward the retreating tide of Abyssals. Thousands of them were still fleeing in every direction, their numbers having been reduced dramatically within only a few minutes.

"The commanders will want to speak with you," Reyes said. "This kind of power cannot remain unnoticed. If word spreads that a Sovereign single-handedly cleared an entire section of the outer perimeter, you will attract attention. Not all of that attention will be friendly."

Victor’s expression remained completely indifferent.

"Let them come."

Reyes studied him for several seconds before letting out a short breath that almost sounded like a laugh.

"You are either the most confident human I have ever met, or the most foolish."

"Can it not be both?"

This time, Reyes genuinely laughed. The short, surprised sound seemed to catch even him off guard.

"Fine. Have it your way. But I have a proposal. The core battlefield is where the real fighting is taking place. Nebula Realm powerhouses and above are locked in a standoff against the greater Abyssals, including the Void Lord and his generals. We are losing ground. If even a fraction of what you demonstrated here can be replicated there, it could completely shift the battlefield."

Victor’s eyes narrowed slightly when he heard the title.

"Tell me more about this Void Lord."

"A Quasar Realm Abyssal. One of the seven Void Nobles leading this invasion wave. He has been holding the core line almost by himself against three of our strongest Quasar Realm elders combined. If he breaks through, the entire southern defense will collapse, and with it, this entire sector of the Universal Battlefield."

Victor remained silent for a moment before finally speaking.

"The situation certainly sounds grim, but I will only go there after two days. I hope that will not be a problem. I want to clear more Abyssals before entering the core."

"If that is the case, I will not bother you anymore. Just try to conserve your strength and energy. We will need your strength when the time comes."

Reyes gave Victor one final glance before turning around and leaving.

Victor watched him disappear into the distance before turning his attention back toward the battlefield. He intended to clear these Abyssals anyway. However, he needed to be careful. If he killed the higher-ranked Abyssals too quickly, the weaker ones might panic and retreat through their dimensional portals.

That would be a loss for him.

With that thought, Victor’s figure vanished.

The next moment, his devastation began once again.

Abyssals continued dying in massive numbers wherever Victor went. He moved across the outer perimeter like a god of destruction, leaving nothing but destruction in his wake. Thousands of Abyssals were slaughtered with every passing moment, and wherever his figure appeared, the Abyssal forces collapsed into chaos.

His name quickly began spreading among the lower-level universal factions.

To them, Victor was no longer merely another cultivator.

He was a hero.

A messiah who appeared without warning, slaughtered countless Abyssals, and vanished without asking for praise or reward.

Meanwhile, in the core region of the battlefield, several powerful Abyssals were gathered around a massive projection displaying the entire battlefield.

"Hey, what is going on?" a Quasar Realm Abyssal suddenly demanded. "Why are our foot soldiers dying so quickly? Has a Nebula Realm battle group entered the outer perimeter?"

"We do not know yet," one of his subordinates replied hurriedly. "It seems that bastard Martin managed to recruit additional reinforcements. They are slaughtering our foot soldiers."

"But how is that possible?" the Quasar Realm Abyssal frowned deeply. "The Matrix clearly shows that no powerful new Nebula Realm or higher existence has entered the battlefield. If one had entered, we would have detected it immediately and could have summoned three additional Abyssal commanders for every such existence."

His expression became increasingly grim.

"Regardless, send several Nebula Realm Abyssals to investigate."

"Understood."

The orders were immediately carried out.

...

An entire day passed.

During that single day, Victor had already accumulated more than 50 billion Evolution Points, yet he was still nowhere near finished clearing the outer perimeter.

Everywhere he went, Abyssals fell before him.

The universal factions stationed in the outer regions gradually began treating him like a legendary figure. Some called him the God of Destruction, while others simply referred to him as their savior.

Victor, however, ignored all of it.

He had only one objective.

"The eighth level of the Eternal Body Cultivation Technique requires 100 trillion Evolution Points. The ninth requires one quadrillion, and the tenth requires ten quadrillion."

Victor looked toward the distant core region, his eyes gleaming with anticipation.

"I hope the Universal Battlefield can provide me with that much. Otherwise, I will have no choice but to enter the Abyss."

His purpose for coming to the Universal Battlefield had never been complicated.

He needed Evolution Points.

More specifically, he needed enough Evolution Points to reach the tenth level of the Eternal Body Cultivation Technique.

The Undying Body Realm.

Once he reached that level, his physical body would undergo a qualitative transformation. His vitality, resilience, and survivability would reach an entirely different level.

And Victor desperately wanted to see just how terrifying his body could become.

"Let’s go to the core region."

Victor’s gaze shifted toward the battlefield ahead.

The next region belonged to World Realm Abyssals and powerful universal combatants. Compared to the outer perimeter, the enemies there would be significantly stronger.

That was exactly what Victor wanted.

Stronger enemies meant more Evolution Points.

However, before he could move, Victor suddenly sensed several violent auras approaching from the distance.

His eyes narrowed.

Five powerful presences were rapidly closing in on his location.

Judging from their aura alone, Victor could immediately tell that they were Abyssals.

"Looks like I have already caught the attention of the higher-ups."

A faint smile appeared on Victor’s face.

"Good."

His eyes gleamed with cold killing intent.

"If I eliminate these bastards quickly, it should throw their forces into even greater disarray."

Victor did not underestimate his opponents. These five were clearly Nebula Realm Abyssals, and fighting five powerful opponents simultaneously would carry some unnecessary risks.

He had no reason to take those risks.

"Arch Demon Transformation."

The moment the words left his mouth, an immense and sinister aura erupted from Victor’s body.

But Victor immediately suppressed the surge of energy.

If he allowed his Quasar Realm aura to leak out, both the Abyssals and the universal factions would detect it. He had no intention of attracting unnecessary attention before reaching the core battlefield.

A few moments later, six Abyssals appeared directly in front of him.

Their appearances were grotesque. Their bodies resembled rotten sacks of flesh, twisted and bloated in ways that made them look more like walking masses of corrupted meat than living creatures.

"Eh? A pesky demon daring to cause so much trouble?" one of them muttered in a bored tone.

The other five Abyssals merely stared at Victor with indifferent expressions. To them, a lone demon causing trouble in the outer perimeter was hardly worth taking seriously.

Victor, however, had no interest in wasting time talking nonsense with them.

"Chaos Domain."

The moment he spoke, an invisible force spread outward.

Space itself seemed to distort as the six Abyssals were instantly dragged into Victor’s domain. Their expressions finally changed as they realized that something was terribly wrong.

"What is going..."

"Disintegration."

Victor’s voice was calm.

The six Abyssals did not even have enough time to finish their sentence.

Their bodies instantly collapsed into countless particles before completely disappearing from existence.

The entire process took less than a second.

Victor stood silently in the empty battlefield, his expression unchanged.

[Ding! You have gained 60 million evolution points.]

"That should be enough."
