"No! Brute force won’t work. You can’t kill Immortals in here!"

The blue Zhang Wenda held the small, yellow Zhang Wenda and calmly analyzed the situation.

Immortals were unkillable within this Thought Wave. He had to find another way.

But defeating an unkillable enemy was incredibly difficult.

Just then, the small, yellow Zhang Wenda gently poked his blue fur. He whispered, "It’s strange, isn’t it? This big monster has thought clusters too. What do you think it’s thinking about right now?"

"What else could it be thinking? How to kill us!" As the blue rabbit said this, a scene from his earlier training flashed through his mind—the moment he had faced his own attack head-on.

When the thought of attacking vanished from his mind, the thought cluster representing the attack itself also disappeared.

"We don’t need to kill this behemoth! We just need to stop it from having the thought of attacking in the first place!!"

Zhang Wenda, in mid-air, stomped on an elongated thought cluster that had just appeared, using it to launch himself toward the amalgamated Immortal monster’s head.

As he rapidly approached and saw the continuously emerging thought clusters, the purple lightning in the sky began to brew once more.

The monster was colossal, and its thought clusters were equally massive, floating beneath the solar ring like thick layers of clouds.

Strangely, while most of Zhang Wenda’s own thought clusters appeared and disappeared with his thoughts, the monster’s were fixed in place, unmoving.

Zhang Wenda charged forward, his scythe slicing sharply through a thought cluster. ’Xiaozhang said we should live, that we deserve to live! He’ll come and save us.’

’Where’s the thought cluster for attacking?’ Realizing something was wrong, Zhang Wenda sliced open another one.

"We are all Immortals! They can all be revered by the masses! Why can’t we?! On what grounds!"

’Is the obsession this deep? Are they thinking about it every single moment?’ Seeing this was also wrong, Zhang Wenda charged toward another thought cluster.

But he was out of time. With a CRACKLE, a bolt of purple lightning struck down. Zhang Wenda almost instinctively raised a nearby thought cluster to shield himself.

As the purple lightning struck, the huge thought cluster surged, but to Zhang Wenda’s disbelief, the thing actually withstood the bolt without disintegrating.

’Something’s not right. Why are this monster’s thoughts so tough?! Big body, thick-skinned thoughts?’

When Zhang Wenda pulled apart the dense threads of the thought cluster and saw the incredibly sturdy chains within, he knew he was right. There was clearly something wrong with this thought.

He had produced thoughts of his own before, and there was no way a normal thought cluster would contain chains.

CRACKLE! Another bolt of black lightning came down. Zhang Wenda grabbed the thought cluster and held it over his head again, blocking the fatal attack once more.

Under the assault of the heavenly lightning, the chain-bound thought finally dissipated. The dark gray chains gradually vanished, turning into streams of 0s and 1s in the air.

The moment that thought disappeared, a small, white thought cluster emerged to Zhang Wenda’s left.

He thought it was his own, but when he stepped on it with his right foot, the texture was clearly wrong—it was too soft. When he quickly parted the threads, he saw countless repetitions of "Help me, help me."

Another giant axe swung over. Zhang Wenda simply grabbed another thought and held it above his head.

As these chained thoughts were destroyed, more of the suppressed, small white thoughts emerged.

As Zhang Wenda quickly touched them, a cacophony of voices chattered away, piecing together the entire foggy affair.

"Xiaozhang never promised anything. These are all ideas the Big Circle forced into our minds."

"Bodhisattvas are meant to be compassionate, Buddha is meant to save the world, and Immortals are meant to cultivate their hearts and minds. If our disappearance can bring peace to all living beings, we are willing to vanish."

"The Big Circle forced mortal obsessions upon us, causing us to fall into greed, anger, and ignorance. We were forced to break our vows."

"We, a group of Immortals who should have disappeared, were instead controlled by the seven emotions and six desires of mortals, and turned into a monster—a tool for them to use as they please."

As all sorts of new thoughts erupted like mad, Zhang Wenda finally understood what had happened. He also finally understood why there were chains inside the thoughts.

His grandfather had never promised them anything! And as Immortals, they would never have been so attached to their own existence. This was all a conspiracy by the Big Circle!

To possess an undying weapon of war to fight the Third Line, they had actually fabricated thoughts and forced them into the minds of these Immortals, forcibly changing their way of thinking!

’If I can just get rid of all these thought clusters, the monster’s attacks will stop!’

Although Zhang Wenda couldn’t do anything about these thought-chains for the moment, luckily, someone else could.

Another bolt of heavenly lightning struck from a tricky angle. Without hesitation, Zhang Wenda grabbed a thought cluster and blocked the attack again.

No matter what form the monster’s attack took, Zhang Wenda used a thought cluster as a shield.

As these false thought clusters woven by the Big Circle continuously dispersed, the body of the giant, amalgamated Immortal monster began to shake and crumble.

They howled, attacking Zhang Wenda frantically, but each attack only made the thought clusters dissipate faster.

When the last chained thought cluster dissolved, the entire massive, amalgamated monster instantly froze, standing still like a statue.

Suddenly, the Thought Wave space, filled with Immortal Cave Mansions, paradisiacal realms, and jade pavilions, collapsed in an instant, along with the giant monster itself.

Amidst heavenly music and the cries of phoenixes and cranes, all the fused Immortals gradually separated and merged completely with the various infant spirit bodies emerging from the earth.

Everyone looked up to see auspicious, colorful clouds spreading layer upon layer across the sky. Countless Immortals and Buddhas stood upon lotus platforms atop the clouds. A soft Holy Light radiated from their bodies, too brilliant to behold directly, as if ten million moons and solar coronas were shining in harmony.

Their divine forms were varied—some with lowered brows of compassion, others with wrathful, imposing glares—but without exception, all carried a serenity that pierced through eternity. Their colossal figures were half-hidden in the halos of light, their details only faintly visible.

All the Immortals were now on the verge of disappearing, yet their faces showed no trace of fear or despair. The faces of the countless Immortals and Buddhas held none of the clamor of the mortal world, only a silent majesty and compassion that filled the heavens and the earth, causing everyone present to naturally feel a sense of awe and hold their breath in reverence.

Zhang Wenda looked up at them and said with deep emotion, "These are our true Immortals. Truly transcendent and otherworldly. I should have known. How could Immortals possibly be so petty and calculating?"

The disappearing Immortals and Buddhas bowed slightly to Zhang Wenda in unison, a gesture of thanks. Then, one by one, the Immortals and Buddhas began to vanish. They were no longer of use; Thought Wave Two no longer needed them.

Though he knew this would still be the outcome, Zhang Wenda felt incredibly conflicted. He looked up at the most compassionate Guanyin standing in the very center. "Everyone, is there any other way for you to exist? If so, maybe I can help."

However, the remaining Immortals and Buddhas did not speak. They simply smiled at Zhang Wenda and slowly shook their heads.

The Immortals and Buddhas vanished quickly, and soon only the final figure of Guanyin remained. Her eyes held not the slightest fear of her own disappearance, but were filled with compassion as she gazed down upon the land before her.

The Bodhisattva’s gaze seemed to encompass both Zhang Wenda and the others, and yet all living beings under the heavens. Her voice, like a lingering sacred chant, was thick with worry.

"It is fine if you do not believe in us. But if you do not believe in the Bodhisattva’s teaching that good is rewarded and evil is punished, if you do not believe that the wicked will go to hell and the good will be reincarnated... then what will you believe in? What will become of you then...?"

With the Bodhisattva’s final sigh, the host of Immortals and Buddhas in the sky at last vanished completely from Zhang Wenda’s sight.
