"Mr. Carter, good evening. Sorry to call so late. We have an update. One of our people got lucky today~managed to take a solid set of photos after only one day of surveillance. If you’re free tomorrow, you can come by the office and review them."

"Alright. I’ll be there."

Jason ended the call, a cold satisfaction settling in his chest.

*Olivia. Your easy days are numbered

He looked at Emma, who still seemed half-lost in her own thoughts.

"Come on. Let’s go up."

He led her up the stairs. At the apartment door he deliberately let go of her hand while fishing for his keys. Emma didn’t notice. Things between him and both women were still undefined; the last thing he needed was an unnecessary spark of jealousy before anything was even official.

"Aunt Victoria, we’re home."

The living room light was still on. Victoria had clearly been waiting.

Slippers sounded against the floor. A moment later she appeared from the hallway.

She had just finished showering. Her dark hair was still damp, a few strands sticking to the side of her neck. Her face carried a soft flush from the hot water. She wore a thin silk camisole nightgown that clung lightly to her body, the neckline dipping just low enough to reveal the elegant line of her collarbones. A single drop of water traced a slow path down the curve of one and disappeared into the fabric.

Jason had seen a lot of beautiful women in his previous life. Most of the ones who looked this perfect had help~surgery, filters, careful lighting. Victoria was different. Everything about her was natural: the full, soft weight of her breasts under the silk, the narrow waist, the long bare legs. The kind of mature, lived-in beauty that no amount of money could buy.

His mouth went dry. The old, hungry part of him stirred hard.

"You’re back," Victoria said. Her voice was calm, but her eyes lingered on him a second longer than usual. "Go shower and get some sleep. It’s late."

"Mm..." Emma answered first, still distracted. She murmured a quiet goodnight and went upstairs. The moment her bedroom door closed she collapsed onto the bed as if her strings had been cut.

She buried her face in the pillow and let out a muffled, frustrated sound.

Jason’s voice kept replaying in her head~*Your lips are really soft... sweet...*

"Ah, this is so embarrassing..."

She grabbed the nearest stuffed animal and half-heartedly beat it against the mattress, then gave up and curled around a pillow instead, rolling from side to side like she could shake the feelings out of her body.

*I’m falling for him even harder. He’s kind and steady and so handsome it hurts. What am I supposed to do with this?*

Eventually exhaustion won. She fell asleep still holding the pillow.

Downstairs, Jason remained standing in the living room. Victoria’s damp hair and the way the silk moved when she breathed made it difficult to look anywhere else.

"Aunt Victoria... I should head to my room."

He kept his voice polite, almost boyish. The "good kid" persona was still useful.

"Wait."

Victoria stopped him. Conflict flickered across her face. She opened her mouth once, twice, but the words refused to come out cleanly.

Jason tilted his head, offering her an easy exit.

"Is your ankle bothering you again? Want me to massage it for a bit?"

Relief flashed in her eyes. She seized the excuse.

"Yes... yes. Come to my room. Just for a little while."

"Okay."

He followed her in. Victoria settled against the headboard and stretched her long legs across his lap. The silk nightgown rode up slightly. Her skin was warm and smooth under the low light.

"Ready?" he asked.

"Mm."

Jason began working his thumbs in slow, careful circles around her ankle and calf. He kept his eyes mostly on his hands, but he could feel her watching him.

"Too hard?" he asked after a moment. "I can go lighter."

"Softer... please. I’m sensitive there."

Her voice had gone quieter. Victoria studied the focused line of his brow, the shape of his mouth, the steady movement of his hands. An uninvited thought surfaced: *He’s grown into such a handsome man. Kind. Careful

The air in the room thickened. A warm, clean scent~her soap mixed with something distinctly male from him~seemed to grow heavier with every passing second. Victoria felt her breathing change. Heat spread under her skin. A faint dizziness touched the edges of her mind.

She shifted slightly closer without fully realizing it, drawn toward the solid warmth of him.

Jason noticed everything and said nothing. He simply continued the massage, calm on the surface.

After several more minutes he made a show of checking the time and starting to rise.

"That’s enough for tonight. Too long isn’t good for the joint. You should rest."

He had learned long ago that the cleanest way to pull someone deeper was to be the one willing to walk away first.

"Wait."

Victoria’s hand caught his wrist. The word came out sharper than she intended.

Jason looked back at her, expression open and slightly puzzled. "Something wrong?"

She bit her lower lip. Color rose higher on her cheeks.

"Earlier I said I would... teach you some things. Adult things. About relationships. About... how to touch someone properly."

The sentence cost her visible effort. Once it was out she exhaled like she had set down a heavy weight.

Jason let a small, convincing frown appear. "Massage is part of that? I’ve never really learned anything formal."

Victoria’s eyes softened with a mixture of nerves and resolve. She reached for his arm and tugged him closer until he was half in her space, the silk of her nightgown brushing his side.

"Then I’ll will teach you herself," she said quietly. "Just relax. There’s nothing to be afraid of."

Her voice dropped lower.

"First..."
