Infinite Rebate System: Beautiful Women And Endless Returns
Chapter 8: Money Solves ProblemsXavier woke up at 8:15 AM to the sound of his alarm and turned it off with the
satisfaction of a man who had somewhere better to be.
School, he thought, staring at the ceiling. Respectfully, no.
He lay there for exactly thirty seconds doing absolutely nothing. Then sat up.
Okay. Today we level the appearance up. Can’t be running a rebate empire in a plain white tee and worn shoes that have seen better decades.
He checked his balance.

Let’s go shopping.
Mama Elizabeth was in the hallway when he came downstairs dressed in his least offensive outfit which, he acknowledged, was not a high bar.
She looked at him. Then at the time on the wall clock. Then back at him.
"No school today?"
"Free period," Xavier said without breaking stride. Old people like her should be easy to fool nevertheless.
"Hmm but it’s 8 in the morning or is my walk click broken ".
She made a sound that communicated everything she thought about that answer without using a single word. A complete sentence delivered entirely through the nose.
Xavier was already out the door.
He took a cab to the Meridian Shopping District — the part of the city where the stores stopped apologising for their prices.
He’d passed through it once or twice in his previous life the way poor people pass through rich areas. Quickly. But now he’s not the same person as before.
Today he walked in like he owned the pavement.
Okay, he thought, looking at the row of storefronts. Clothes first. Shoes. Then food because I refuse to make important financial decisions on an empty stomach.
Then the phone situation. He was using a low end infinix hot 6 that came out several years ago that took like hours to boot up.
He pushed open the door of the first clothing store that looked serious without being ridiculous.
The store assistant appeared from nowhere the way store assistants in expensive shops always do, materialising at his elbow with a professional smile that had clearly been calibrated to assess a customer’s budget in under three seconds.
Xavier watched the smile flicker almost imperceptibly as it took in his current outfit.
There it is, he thought. The calculation.
He’s deciding right now whether I’m worth his full attention or his partial attention.
"Welcome," the assistant said. Politely. Carefully. "Can I help you find something specific?"
"Yes," Xavier said. "Six outfits. Different occasions. Don’t show me anything I’d wear to church and don’t show me anything I’d wear to a club. Everything in between."
The assistant blinked. "Six outfits."
"And shoes. Two pairs."
Another blink. The professional smile recalibrated from careful to genuinely engaged. Amazing how quickly that happened.
"Of course. Right this way."
Xavier spent forty minutes in that store.
He tried on things he would have walked past in his previous life without even registering them as existing in his price range. Clean lines. Quality fabric. The kind of clothes that didn’t announce themselves loudly but made people look twice without knowing why.
The assistant whose name was Daniel, according to his badge, and who had fully committed to the sale about eight minutes in kept bringing things and Xavier kept either nodding or shaking his head with the quiet decisiveness of someone who knew what they wanted.
This is what having taste and money at the same time feels like, Xavier thought, looking at himself in the mirror in a fitted navy jacket over a simple white shirt. Dangerous combination.
"That one works very well," Daniel said from behind him.
"I know," Xavier said.
He bought that one. And five others. Two pairs of shoes, one clean white, one dark leather that Daniel called understated luxury and Xavier called the first sensible thing the man had said.
At the register Daniel tallied everything up with the energy of someone trying to keep their face neutral while internally celebrating.
"The total comes to $5,840."
Perfect.
Xavier paid without flinching.

Bold spend, Xavier thought. Apparently dropping almost six thousand in one transaction qualifies as bold. Can’t argue with that.
Xavier looked at that number walking out of the store with four bags and felt something close to genuine joy.
I just spent $5,840 on clothes and came out richer than when I walked in. He stopped on the pavement and read the notification again. This system is genuinely unhinged. I love it.
He stood there for a moment holding four shopping bags in the middle of a busy shopping district looking like a man who had just received news that changed his entire worldview.
A woman walking past gave him a strange look like some spoiled brat living on fraud money.
"Jealous? It’s normal," he said to nobody in particular but in the woman’s direction.
"First time being rich."
She walked faster.
Fair.
He found a restaurant two blocks down not the most expensive place on the street but serious enough to have a dress code sign on the door and a host standing outside.
The host looked at his shopping bags.
Xavier looked at the host.
"Table for one," Xavier said.
"Do you have a reservation sir?"
Of course. "No."
The host did the same thing Daniel had done: the quick assessment, the calibration. Except this one’s smile was less friendly about it.
"I’m afraid without a reservation we typically—"
"I’ll take whatever’s available," Xavier said pleasantly. "I’m not particular about location, I just need to fill up my tummy and starve."
Something in his tone, not aggressive, just completely unbothered made the host pause. Then nod.
"Right this way sir."
Xavier sat alone at a table by the window, bags tucked beside his chair, and ordered properly for the first time in what felt like years. Not delivery. Not instant noodles.
Not whatever was cheapest on the menu.
He ordered what he actually wanted.
The food arrived and he ate slowly, watching the shopping district move past the window. People with places to be. A couple arguing quietly. A child dragging her mother toward a toy store with the full commitment of someone who had identified their life’s purpose.
In my previous life, he thought, cutting into his steak, I ate standing up half the time. Between deliveries. Cold food in a company jacket smelling like pepperoni.
He chewed.
Never again.
He ordered dessert after. An actual dessert. Without guilt.

The iPhone store was the easiest stop.
Xavier walked in, looked at the wall of devices with the quiet authority of a man who had been using a cracked screen for too long and had opinions about it, and pointed at the top model without asking the price.
