*Anos's POV*
'What the hell is he doing here?' I screamed from a corner of the room, looking down at Dumbledore who had just entered.
'Wait how did I get so tall suddenly? And why are my legs so tight? It's uncomfortable.' I thought before looking down.
It took all my strength to not scream and instead I muttered what amounted to a half cough which seemed to have not been noticed by Dumbledore, who in turn was staring intently at the Mirror of Erised.
That didn't make my position any better though.
By Arthur's grace, I hadn't even realized I had jumped.
Now I hung from a corner of the room, at an edge with my fingers digging deep into the stone while my legs uncomfortably pressed against the walls holding onto the fingers' breadth of leverage available in the otherwise smooth stone.
Gods, my thighs were practically roaring in protest at the unnatural angle.
More than that I hung very, very high in the air, my neck pressed against the roof as I stared at the nonchalant Dumbledore who didn't seem to have any intention of leaving, instead observing the mirror as if he was out for a very nice walk in the spring breeze.
'Gods fuck. Shikigami.'
A part of my shadow cut itself off and darted out from the door that Dumbledore had left slightly ajar.
*Scritch*
Before long the sound of claws scratching at wood came from outside.
Dumbledore turned and I prayed to every god, magician or progenitor that I knew of and could speak the name of without summoning a demon or turning my lungs to charcoal.
It seemed to have worked, as Dumbledore ignored me in my dark corner and walked out.
Set would provide distraction for him, I could maintain him at least around this entire floor of the castle without feeling any sort of burden.
My legs practically wanted to throw me off and felt somewhat numb but I listened intently to the sounds of footsteps that seemed to be going away from the door.
After painfully waiting for another few minutes as the sound of footsteps disappeared from even out of my range and then just for safety looking through the walls and seeing Dumbledore as a Very bright and very bright blue flame at least 3 corridors away I threw myself off from the roof.
I fell and rolled on the floor before finding myself sitting with my hands down between and legs spread out on the floor.
I was a bit taken out of it but even then I could hear some of the stone from the roof falling down in crumbled little pebbles.
I could feel Set being a few corridors away.
'Hide. I'm Safe.'
I could feel the tension seep out of my little partner.
I swiftly got up and dusted myself off before looking back at the roof I had stuck to. No major damage done thankfully.
I walked over to the little pile of pebbles and quickly rounded them up with a swift flick of cursed energy before pressing them together hard enough that they crumbled into fine dust that was utterly unremarkable in the room.
Then I swiftly turned and went towards the door and put my hand on its handle before pushing.
It didn't budge.
'Shit.'
I tugged at it but the gate refused to open, apparently slammed shut.
A quick check showed it was covered with a jinx.
I was breathing heavily now but prepared to use Cursed energy to blow off the hinge of the door.
"I wouldn't do that if I were you. I expected you to try Alohamora first, I'm aware Flitwick doesn't teach it to First years but young Hermione can use it well." A voice said from behind and every muscle in my body tensed.
'Breathe.' I forced the air out of my lungs and then took another deep gulp with my mouth.
Dumbledore was quite generously quiet behind me as I got my breathing under control before turning to look at him in his nightdress and a frankly childish wizard hat on his head, with golden and silver stars and moons on it.
‘At the very least he doesn’t have any House points to take from me.’ I assured myself.
"Hello, Headmaster." I greeted and that appeared to have been very amusing to Dumbledore who chuckled lightly.
"Hello." Dumbledore said, still laughing and waving at me.
'Well at least he doesn't seem angry.' I thought with relief but refused to show it on my face.
"I would be very much impressed by your persistence young Anos, only if it wasn't about this …" he pointed at the Mirror ".... particular mirror. I have on good thought decided to take it away from here.”
“Oh? Alright.” I replied.
To give him credit Dumbledore replied questioned without missing a beat.
“And you yourself have no interest in the mirror? I will say that if you hope to somehow find out where it is then you’ll be very wrong in the assumption.”
“I am aware of what that mirror is Headmaster, there’s a reason I have not allowed Harriet to see into it or return into this room for that matter.” I answered truthfully, not that keeping Harriet away from the room was hard.
She might have the best sense of direction I have ever observed but she was currently much too busy with trying to find out about the Philosopher’s stone and how it truly related to everything that happened till now; she had not made the connection that the room that was devoid of anything but a mirror that I hadn’t allowed her to look at properly would relate to her search.
“You have not looked into the mirror?” Dumbledore asked inquisitively, the words appearing curious from behind his great white beard.
“It is tempting but no, nothing good is likely to come out of trying to peer into the future.” I answered.
‘Not to mention I’m not entirely sure if I can recover from looking at the mirror if I’m not either a literal child or as powerful as Dumbledore, best not to tempt magic.’
My answer seemed to have satisfied Dumbledore as he hummed in what was almost approval.
“Then why were you here?” he persisted.
I lightly shuffled in my left pocket to produce the piece of foolscrap I had written and offered it gingerly to Dumbledore who opened it, slightly frowned at the creases before beginning to read.
And then he laughed.
