Silas sat in the bar section of the spaceship.
At least, it wasn’t broken from the destruction caused earlier.
"Pending the time the academy’s ship arrives, I should stay here," he muttered to himself.
Behind him, Asher stood, hands clasped behind his back.
"I have told you this already, stop standing, sit down."
Asher bowed.
"I would rather be like this, Master Silas."
Silas shook his head, unsure of what to do.
Asher did not know what to say anymore.
After the battle was over and everyone was allowed to rest, Asher had been acting in a weird way.
It was not his fault.
As per his contract with The Order of Truth, he was to protect Silas till he was strong enough to stand on his own.
At least, until his level increased within the order and he was assigned a stronger guard.
But at this rate, Silas was going to surpass him before he was assigned a stronger guard.
Silas did not think too much of Asher’s weirdness; he focused on the screen in front of him.
It was the system.
Earlier, after breaking through to the Ascendant Realm, the system had sent him a message.
It was the first time since he knew of its existence.
But Silas had ignored it due to the chaos.
Now, he was finally looking at what had triggered the notification.
[Skills:
Infinite Library
Absolute Drop
Edge Aether
Aether Manipulation]
Among these skills, Silas’s true skill, Infinite Library, glowed with a golden light.
Silas did not think too much; he tapped on it.
[Infinite Library:
Knowledge Accumulation: Store every piece of knowledge of the host in a library. Either gotten from sight, smell, hearing, taste, or feeling.
Deduction: Cross reference all knowledge stored in the host’s library to create the perfect knowledge for the host.
Absolute Comprehension: The host can comprehend anything with enough time. Increases the speed of receiving knowledge.
Fusion(New): The host can fuse different objects into one as long as he has basic knowledge about them. To fuse living beings, they need to be in a weakened state.
Fission(New): The host can split anything into its base components.
Analyze(New): Check the properties of anything by focusing on it.]
Silas read the skill description, and for the first time since getting this skill, he finally understood how broken it was.
This skill bordered on insane; how was anything allowed to be so broken?
He had seen his fair share of skills during his last days in Veritas.
From powerful skills to pure dumb ones.
But this skill was too unbelievable.
"Isn’t it cheating at this point?" He muttered to himself with a sigh.
"Fusion and Fission, with Analyze."
His eyes swept through the room, as if he were looking for something.
"Nah, there’s no need to look for something to use," he muttered.
In that moment, a potion appeared in his hand, glowing with a red light.
It was the second transcension potion Lilura had given to him.
Another potion appeared in his palm.
A normal healing potion produced by his company.
First, he tried Analyze on each of them.
[Item Name: Transcension Potion(Epic Grade)]
[Ingredients:
Embervine(Rare Grade): A thin red-veined plant that grows near volcanic activity. Leaves are perpetually warm to the touch.
Ashen Root(Epic Grade): A white root found in areas where Aether density is unusually high.]
[Effect: Refills the core with flame aether and increases power to a Marshal stage for 10 minutes. The user is knocked unconscious for a set time based on how far they pushed themselves.]
Silas looked at the two herbs shown on the screen before his eyes.
He had seen both plenty of times in the past.
He set the potion aside and took the healing potion.
[Item Name: Vital Tonic(Epic Grade)]
[Ingredients:
Dewroot(Rare Grade): A small, water-heavy root found near natural springs. Naturally replenishes Aether flow when consumed raw.
Greenspine(Common Grade): A healing herb with thick green spines that secrete a mild regenerative sap. Found on most habitable planets.
Clearbloom(Rare Grade): A pale, odorless flower that grows in high Aether density areas. Purifies and stabilizes Aether circulation when processed.]
Silas nodded as he looked at both of them.
He looked at Asher, who was focused intently on the potions in his hand.
Silas shook his head and turned back.
He placed both potions on the table gently and pushed them together.
"Fusion," he said.
A light burst out from them, covering the table in golden motes.
Silas had to shield his eyes instinctively.
That was when he remembered.
He was no longer bound by flesh; such light could do nothing to him anymore.
Behind him, Asher raised an eyebrow.
He was curious as to why the light had suddenly burst out.
He checked it several times, but he did not sense an ounce of aether from it.
He did not have to wait for long.
The light began to die, and a single potion sat on the table.
Asher blinked in shock.
He looked at the new potion.
The aura did not match any of the previous ones.
Silas picked the new potion up and stared at it.
"Analyze."
[Item Name: Transcension Vital Potion(Unique Grade)]
[Ingredients: Transcension Potion and Vital Tonic.]
[Effect: Fully refills the core with flame Aether, increases power to two stages above Marshal for 15 minutes, and eliminates post-surge unconsciousness entirely. Aether pathways are fully restored after the effect ends.]
"Look at such a profitable business, casually falling on my lap," Silas said, his eyes gleaming with pure greed.
But he did not let it take over him.
He dabbed his mouth with a napkin and set it aside.
"Master Silas, what is this?" Asher asked from behind.
Silas smiled.
"A golden go... Sorry, a fusion of the Transcension Potion and the Vital Tonic."
"How is that possible?" Asher asked, almost falling to his knees.
"How is what possible?" Silas asked.
"According to all the scholars of the Solarion Spire, fusion is an ability that might only be possessed by a Primordial Realm cultivator."
Silas shrugged.
"Well, I have it now."
It was at this moment that Asher fully understood who he had been sent to guard.
A person who would shatter normal reasoning but still remain casual about it.
