Silas looked at the potion a bit more before finally sending it to his AI space.
"I should keep it for now, maybe give it to Amelia."
He was already at Monarch tier; the potion was not going to work on him anymore.
"Since that is all, I should focus on other things," he muttered.
"Like the file on how to assemble the super weapon?"
Someone said from behind.
"Yes, I should..."
Silas turned back before he could complete the statement.
He knew Asher’s voice well, and that was not it.
The voice itself sounded familiar.
’Levi,’ he deduced in the split second it took him to turn back towards the person who had spoken.
And for sure, his ears did not deceive him.
Levi stood behind Silas, his expression as calm as ever, hand still on the hilt of his sword.
He looked directly into Silas’s eyes, as if daring him.
But Silas knew that was just Levi’s way of looking.
He stood up, offering Levi a seat that he pulled out.
Levi nodded and sat in the chair.
"Lord Levi, what can I do for you?" Silas asked, sitting back in his own chair.
Levi did not respond at first.
From his position, a space began to spread outward.
Levi stared at Silas for a moment too long.
"Sorry," he said, snapping back into focus. "And just Levi is fine."
Silas nodded slowly in response. He had nothing else to say.
Levi straightened his posture, then looked into Silas’s eyes.
"Let me be sincere with you, it would be impossible to assemble the weapon before the tide hits us."
Silas frowned.
"So, you mean..."
Levi nodded before Silas could complete the statement.
"We cannot make it."
His tone was cold and emotionless.
But for the first time, since Silas had heard Levi’s voice, he felt the emotion behind those cold words.
"What do you intend to do?" Silas asked, staring straight into Levi’s eyes.
Levi was dumbfounded at Silas’s sudden burst of courage.
Silas had never looked him in the eye, not once.
But that only made Levi smile.
A subtle smile that escaped Silas’s perception.
Then, his face dropped again as he remembered the matter at hand.
"I don’t have a choice; even with my full power, I can’t stop a tide alone since I would also have to fight top-tier void beasts that are probably stronger than me."
Silas’s face turned pale at Levi’s words.
"What choice?"
"At full speed, I should be able to take a million people away from here before the tide hits."
Silas widened his eyes.
He connected the dots quickly.
"You plan to leave the rest here."
"I have no choice, it’s better to minimize the damage than risk killing everyone."
As he spoke, he sighed.
The light in his eyes showed vividly that it was very hard for him to make up his mind to risk most of the students.
Silas turned around.
He noticed that Asher had not moved away from where he had stood from the start.
He did not even pay attention to what they were saying.
"Did you put up a barrier?" Silas asked with furrowed brows.
"I isolated this space from the outside world," Levi replied.
Silas looked away, then his gaze fell on Levi.
"I have a way to do this quickly."
Levi blinked.
"Quick enough to assemble it within 2 months?"
Silas nodded slowly.
"I am not sure if it can be completed before then, but the chances are quite high."
"That is enough, what do you need?"
Levi trusted that Silas was not joking.
After all, Silas was at least a Tier 3 Researcher.
He was sure of this after their encounter in the Order of Truth’s virtual server.
"I would try to read the instructions you sent us earlier, then talk about it later."
Levi’s face fell.
"You’ve not read it?" he asked.
Silas nodded slowly.
Levi’s hope seemed to have been dashed at those words.
"Then what makes you think you can assemble it?"
Levi went silent for a while.
Then, he continued.
"This weapon we are talking about is the size of a small planet, maybe bigger than your home planet."
"I know."
Levi did not try to continue persuading Silas.
Since he had made the decision to trust Silas, he was going to go through with it.
"I would give you some time to read the instructions, then come back to hear your plan."
With those words, the space rolled back in, collapsing into itself till it disappeared.
Asher looked at Levi’s back as he walked out of that place.
Although curious about what he had spoken about, Asher did not dare to ask Silas any questions.
"Rion, the instructions on the weapon, display them here," he whispered beneath his breath.
A blue transparent screen flared in Silas’s vision, displaying the blueprint of the weapon in 3D.
It was a large, ring-like weapon, with thrusters and cannons the size of cities lining it at close intervals.
"This is really big."
But Silas was not scared.
This size was already within his range of expectation.
With that, Silas began to read through the file.
His eyes drifted from line to line, faster than a person could even blink.
It felt as though he were not reading, and merely looking at the book.
But it was wrong.
Silas was just reading that fast.
His ability to comprehend things quickly had kicked in.
30 minutes passed, and Silas stretched his arms, finally looking away from the file.
"Okay, that was tiring," he mumbled.
"Are you sure you don’t want to go through it again?" Asher asked from behind him.
No human could possibly understand everything they had read so quickly, at least, according to his knowledge.
"I understand it already," Silas said.
Asher nodded.
At this point, he did not even know how to be surprised by Silas anymore.
Silas stood up calmly.
"Now, let’s put this plan into motion."
As he said those words, he began to walk towards his room.
Asher followed behind him, his steps matching Silas’s with effortless ease.
