The super massive spaceship carrying the students finally came to a stop, but it did not enter the planet.

A tube shot out from within the planet, connecting to a hole that opened in the ship.

The students stared at the glass tube, their minds almost numb from what they believed was about to happen.

"Yeah, you are all sliding down that thing," Humphrey said, taking a peek into the glass.

"It would be one hell of a slide," he added with a smile.

"But before that, if I call your name, just stay back. You have been selected as a seed student of the Imperial Academy."

Hearing this, murmurs spread through the ship.

"Isn't this just wasting time? How would a seed candidate come from our backwater sector?" One of the students asked.

"The Orion Sector is one of the strongest mid-tier sectors in the Human Empire, why are you calling it backwater?" Another retorted with a fierce glare.

"You should understand what I mean. Compared to sectors that are actually capable of producing seed students, the Orion Sector is nothing but a speck of dust."

"Well, that's true," the other student nodded slowly.

"What about Silas? He has a chance though," another person barged into their conversation.

The other two looked at the person who had spoken, then went silent.

They had not thought about it before, but if even Silas could not qualify as a seed student, what kind of beings were those who qualified?

Similar discussions ran through the crowd, with only slight variations among certain groups.

Humphrey handed a file to one of the officials standing behind him.

"Go on," he said, stepping back and pushing the official forward.

The official quickly composed himself and opened to the first page of the file.

A few minutes passed, but no one among them had stepped forward.

"Silas Lancaster," he called.

This time, unlike before where he had been calling names without stopping, he paused.

He looked towards Silas's position.

Not just him.

All heads whipped towards Silas, eyes fixed on him as if he were some kind of priceless treasure.

"Hi," Silas waved slowly with a smile.

It was clearly something he did as a joke.

And that was what made the outburst land even harder.

"He really got chosen as a seed student."

"The Orion Sector's growth would only spike higher in the years to come."

"Who remains so calm even after becoming a seed student?" Another person pointed out the most remarkable detail.

The students all gasped louder as they thought about it.

The truth was that if Silas was just hearing about it for the first time, even though he wouldn't be as shocked as the students expected, he would still display some emotion.

"Stop yelling, and you, continue. We don't have all the time in the world," Humphrey said, tapping the official on the shoulder.

In less than 20 minutes, the official had called all the names on the list.

Humphrey pulled him back and stepped forward again.

"Since that is all, you may all leave."

He looked around, then pointed at one of the officials.

"You, coordinate them. Remember, each platform should only take a thousand people."

The official saluted, then relaxed, before walking towards the slide's entrance.

The students began entering the tube, one after the other.

The hole was massive, at least the size of half a stadium.

After one thousand students had entered, the official nodded, then tapped a button on the remote control given to him by Humphrey.

The students dropped, their bodies descending at a speed too fast for anyone to see.

"Wow, it is not as bad as I thought," one of the students in the slide said.

They had expected to be crushed under the immense speed, but nothing happened.

It felt as though they were standing on mere ground.

Humphrey left the scene, seeing the official already had everything under control.

"Now, you," he said, walking towards Silas.

"What?" Silas asked.

"Your ride should be here soon," Humphrey said, checking his wrist as if there were a watch there.

But he was right.

At that exact moment, a call came in.

Humphrey accepted it quickly.

After a few nods and affirmations, he ended the call.

"Yup, your ride is here."

As he spoke, a section of their spaceship opened, allowing something to pass through.

It landed on the floor gently.

It was a sleek, black, car-sized spaceship.

A soft hiss came from the ship's top as the cover slid open.

From it, a person stepped out.

He was adorned in a full black suit that contrasted heavily with the ship he had arrived in.

"Good day, Commander," the man saluted as he saw Humphrey.

Humphrey merely nodded before pointing towards Silas.

"You can take him," Humphrey said.

The man saluted Humphrey, then turned towards Silas.

He bowed lightly.

"I have come to bring you to Earth," he said.

His tone was commanding and firm.

"He seems scary," Silas whispered to Asher.

Asher nodded in response.

"I think so too," he said.

"How about I drive my own spaceship and follow behind you," Silas proposed, suddenly remembering he had a spaceship in one of his rings.

The man considered what Silas had said.

He was about to refuse.

"Let him," Humphrey said.

The man was stunned for a moment at Humphrey's sudden intervention, but after a few seconds, he nodded.

Silas looked at Humphrey with a smile.

"Thank you," he said.

Humphrey nodded.

"Remember, you can always come to me whenever you need me," Humphrey said.

Silas nodded.

'Now, let's see this baby.'

Since he had been given the ship, Silas had been eager to try it out, but he had not had the time.

Finally getting to see it brought him a feeling he couldn't quite explain.

His aether flowed into the ring slowly, and it soon shone with a bright golden light.

The light began to dim, everything condensing till it formed a single structure.
