Silas stared at the spaceship.
It was a large spaceship with a size comparable to that of an aeroplane.
Silas's eyes seemed to contain stars as he looked at the spaceship.
It was white, with golden stripes lining it at the edges.
Two thrusters were mounted on both sides of the ship.
A cannon was placed between them.
"This is a really new model. I didn't know the Crimson Heaven Tower had already started giving you things of this level," Humphrey said, nodding at the ship.
Even the way he spoke about the ship already made its value obvious.
"It is not from the Crimson Heaven Tower," Silas said, caressing the ship gently.
He did not bother to look at Humphrey.
"It was given to me by the Order of Truth for achieving elite status as a scientist."
Humphrey's face fell.
"Now that I think about it, Levi did say he met you in the Order of Truth's virtual server," Humphrey said, stroking his chin slowly.
"Commander Humphrey," the man suddenly called, pulling Humphrey's attention.
"I am running late already," he said.
"Yeah, yeah, take him," Humphrey said, waving his hand off.
"Yes, let's go," Silas said, reaching the ship's entrance.
The doors slid open on their own.
Silas stared at the interior, unable to move a step from the beauty.
"This is really awkward," Asher said from behind, pushing Silas into the ship.
The door shut behind them slowly.
The ship seemed to have been made for comfort rather than travel.
The inside glowed with soft, purple neon lights.
Unlike the previous ships Silas had entered before, this one was like a house in itself.
The entrance had led them to the living room area.
It had two huge, black sofas positioned at an angle that made it easy to look at the world outside.
Then there was another door in that same area that led to the bathroom.
Silas began to walk forward slowly, then he saw five other doors.
Four bedrooms and a kitchen and dining hall.
"Wow, this is really good," Silas muttered.
Although he had expected something from the Order of Truth to be good, he was not expecting this much.
"Welcome, Master Silas," a sound suddenly echoed through the entire ship.
If it were before he had entered a ship, Silas would have been spooked.
But he was now familiar with ship AIs.
"Asher, you can sit," Silas gestured towards one of the sofas.
"Thank you," Asher replied, but Silas's mind had already moved past him.
"Let's see, I need to name you," Silas mused.
"I already have one Rion, how about Rionne?"
Silas did not think about it again after he made up his mind.
From his experience, overthinking things only made them worse.
"Rionne, follow that ship," Silas said, pointing towards the escort ship that had already begun to fly out.
"Please have a seat as the ship starts," Rionne warned.
Then, energy pulsed through the ship's frame.
Silas quickly sat in one of the chairs.
The ship began to lift off the ground.
It was so subtle that Silas did not feel it.
The only way he knew they were off the ground was the floor that suddenly became distant.
The energy pulsed, stronger this time, as it charged for acceleration.
In that moment, staring through the glass that showed the outside, Silas saw his friends.
Billie and Sylvester, bickering as usual.
Hope minding her business.
And Amelia's eyes on the ship.
Silas locked eyes with her for a moment, then waved his hand.
Amelia did not respond.
She could not see him through the spaceship's special glass.
All she knew was that Silas was in the ship, and it was taking him away.
Soon, they shot out into the void.
For a moment, both ships did not move.
As if sizing up their enemy, which was the void, they remained still.
Then.
Boom.
They launched into the void, leaving trails of light that followed behind them.
Silas walked out of the kitchen, holding a bowl of chocolate.
"So smart of the Order to fill the kitchen with enough food for one year," he said as he pushed a spoonful of chocolate into his mouth.
Asher looked at Silas and shook his head slowly.
"If you weren't at the Ascendant Realm yet, the chances of you getting diabetes would be really high."
Silas scoffed as he jumped onto the sofa.
Just then, Rionne spoke.
"Master Silas, there is a transmission from that ship. Would you like to answer it?" She asked.
"Yes," Silas replied immediately.
At Silas's approval, a connection was established between both ships.
"When we are a few light years away from Earth, you would have to join my ship."
Silas thought for a moment.
"Okay," he replied.
The man did not linger. The moment Silas responded, he hung up.
"Now that we have settled in, this place is really boring," Asher said after a few seconds of silence.
Silas nodded.
"The beauty was only a facade to distract us from the true boredom," he groaned, still pushing large chunks of chocolate down his throat.
"Rionne, is there nothing fun in this ship?" Silas asked.
The words were muffled due to his overfilled mouth.
"You can convert the living room into a lab or a game room," Rionne said in a cold mechanical tone.
Silas blinked at the sudden reveal.
Then he banged his palm against the chair.
"Of course, they had to include a lab in a ship," Silas groaned.
"Let's see the game room," Silas said, ignoring the lab completely.
The place they were in began to change; as if it were a glitching game, everything flickered out of place, replaced by a completely different setting.
The ship's windows were shut.
Then two roller chairs were placed in front of a massive screen.
"Rionne?" Silas called.
"This is a game called Play Box 23," Rionne explained.
"Those are its controllers. You can switch it on at any time."
With those words, Rionne went silent.
Silas and Asher looked at each other, then at the console.
