Chapter 647: Chapter 610: The Yellow Demon King’s Means

With that settled, a sharp glint flashed in Yellow Robe’s eyes. He gripped the small iron cage with both hands and tried to wrench it apart with a sudden, powerful motion.

’It’s just a tiny iron cage. All I have to do is snap it in half.’

But as he exerted his strength, his expression froze. The small iron cage didn’t budge an inch. Despite being no bigger than a rat cage, it was unbelievably sturdy.

He coughed to hide his embarrassment. "Brother Six Eyes, don’t you worry. I wasn’t really trying just now."

The Golden-haired Little Monster in the cage was already raring to go, looking as if it couldn’t wait another moment.

Demon Power surged through Yellow Robe’s hands, which began to emit a dazzling light, transforming them into a pair of glowing, radiant hands.

"Break!"

He roared, but the iron cage in his hands remained perfectly still, utterly indestructible.

"Break again!"

He continued to wrench at it furiously with both hands.

"Break... break... break...!"

Yellow Robe kept trying to bend the iron cage, his expression growing more and more ferocious as he put every last ounce of his strength into it.

And yet, it was all for naught. The small iron cage remained just as it was, without a single sign of damage.

The Golden-haired Little Monster in the cage looked on with utter contempt. ’All bark and no bite,’ it thought.

After all that roaring and straining, it was still trapped in this little iron cage.

A teasing voice drifted out from the cage. "Having trouble there, Brother Lang?"

Ahem... Yellow Robe feigned composure. "As expected of a cage forged from Profound Iron. It may look small and appear easy to break, but it’s incredibly sturdy. I underestimated this cage."

’Underestimated it? That’s putting it mildly!’

The Golden-haired Little Monster said nonchalantly, "This cage isn’t made from ordinary Profound Iron. Legend has it that it was forged from a wondrous stone left behind after Nuwa’s Heaven Repairing. That stone is called ’Profound Essence’—iron from within stone—and it is the hardest substance in the world. It’s beyond indestructible. If you could just wrench it open like that, do you really think I would still be trapped in here?"

Yellow Robe’s eyes widened as he listened. "Brother Six Eyes, isn’t that a bit of an exaggeration? A stone left over from Nuwa’s Heaven Repairing? Who are you kidding?"

"Heh heh, I don’t believe it either," the Golden-haired Little Monster added. "It’s just something those detestable humans bragged about to make me give up all hope of breaking out. However, while the cage may not have such a divine origin, it’s forged from a special Profound Iron that came from an Extraterrestrial Meteorite at the very least."

"Let me put it this way, Brother Lang. Back when my Cultivation broke through to the level of a Deep Mountain Demon King, my Power skyrocketed and the very heavens and earth changed color. I thought I was invincible, that no one could restrain me, yet I was utterly unable to break this tiny cage."

The Six-eyed Golden Lion felt incredibly aggrieved just talking about it. It had thought it was on the verge of Ruling the World, a king making his grand return. But even after becoming a Deep Mountain Demon King, it was still cowering in this tiny iron cage. Absolutely nothing had changed.

"Brother Six Eyes, why didn’t you say so earlier?" Yellow Robe looked at him reproachfully. ’If he’d told me sooner, I wouldn’t have spent all that time looking like an idiot, trying to wrench it open with my bare hands.’

I even used every last ounce of my strength.

’Great. He’s been laughing at me this whole time.’

"Brother Six Eyes, if you have a good idea, just say it so I can break this cage!" Yellow Robe was incredibly frustrated. ’I finally found the Six-eyed Golden Lion, but I can’t even open this tiny cage? This is ridiculous!’

If he couldn’t open the cage, it wouldn’t count as a rescue.

"Unless you have an indestructible Divine Weapon, Brother Lang. Then you could just hack it open!"

Yellow Robe said, exasperated, "Brother Six Eyes, you know our Demon Race has always focused on cultivating our physical bodies. We don’t like to use Weapons. Only those frail human Cultivators like to rely on swords, spears, axes, and halberds. Besides, it would have to be a top-tier Divine Weapon, which I naturally don’t possess."

"How about this? You’ll have to put up with the cage for a few more days, Brother Six Eyes. I’ll take you back to the Yaoling Mountain Range, and we can figure out a way to break it there."

"No!" the Golden-haired Little Monster immediately retorted. "How can I just sneak away in disgrace? I’m going to go out there and start a massacre!"

’I am the world’s one and only Six-eyed Golden Lion! How could I possibly allow myself to be carried away while trapped in what looks like a rat cage? I’d never be able to live down the humiliation if word got out.’

"Then what should we do?" Yellow Robe racked his brain. They were so close, right at the final step, yet they were completely stuck.

The Golden-haired Little Monster suddenly clicked its tongue and chuckled. "There is one other method we could try."

"Quick, Brother Six Eyes, tell me!"

’This is the humans’ Demon Prison, and it’s not like they’re all dead,’ Yellow Robe thought. ’If we linger too long, we’ll be surrounded by their experts, and then we’ll be in deep trouble.’

’The only reason no humans have shown up yet is because I released a massive number of Demons to create chaos. But once the human Martial Cultivators get their bearings, it will be too late for us.’

"Brother Lang, don’t forget what you are," the lion said. "You’re a Weasel, and one whose Cultivation has reached the level of a Deep Mountain Demon King, no less. Your teeth are no less formidable than any Divine Weapon in this world. Give it a bite. You might just be able to gnaw through this iron cage."

Yellow Robe froze. ’That’s actually a good idea... but wouldn’t it look a bit... unsightly? I am a Deep Mountain Demon King, a being of great status. Biting an iron cage with my teeth?’

"Brother Six Eyes, you’re a Golden Lion! If even your teeth can’t break it, then mine certainly can’t."

The Golden-haired Little Monster said, "You’re being too modest, Brother Lang. My teeth aren’t particularly sharp. Besides, being trapped in here, I can’t get any leverage."

’Fine... So I’m the one who has to bite it.’

A Weasel’s teeth and claws are incredibly formidable, the perfect tools for nabbing poultry. But a Weasel who had cultivated to his level hadn’t used his own teeth for thousands of years.

’Today, it seems, I have no choice but to embarrass myself.’

However unwilling he was, Yellow Robe had no other choice. He opened his mouth, revealing a row of fangs that glinted with a chilling, fearsome light. The teeth continued to sharpen, like a sword that had bided its time hidden in a scabbard, its dazzling edge now fully revealed.

"Nice teeth!"

The Golden-haired Little Monster quipped from inside the cage, settling in to watch the show.

Suppressing a nameless rage, Yellow Robe lifted the iron cage to his mouth and began to gnaw on it. CRUNCH, CRUNCH... An ear-piercing sound grated through the air.
