Chapter 101 - 97 Elves of the Abyss

Chapter 101: Chapter 97 Elves of the Abyss

Chapter 97 Elves of the Abyss

During the following minutes, the group advanced through the forest until they found the other members who had been separated.

One after another, everyone reappeared. Monica crossed her arms when she saw the size of the reunited group. She approached Mimi and discreetly gave her friend a pat on the butt.

"So we’re finally all here."

Alex observed each person.

Mimi, Monica, Feliciana, John, Arnaldo, Felicia, Tiffany, Antonia, Alexandra, and the two Galax Aiz Hunters, Zé the Assassin and Alberto the Guardian.

Everyone who had been dragged into that dimension was together again. For a few seconds, no one spoke.

Then Arnaldo stepped forward.

"We need to organize the information collected by both teams."

Alex nodded.

"What did you find?"

Arnaldo looked at the members of Galax Aiz.

"Some of us managed to observe part of this place. We are not in a conventional dungeon."

Alexandra confirmed it.

"We came to the same conclusion, and the system clearly stated that this is another dimension."

Felicia took over the explanation.

"This dimension has its own population."

"Elves," Alexandra added.

Monica raised an eyebrow.

"Elves?"

"Yes."

Alexandra pointed toward the trees.

"We encountered some of them. They are tall, human in appearance, with pointed ears and clothing made from leather, fabric, and natural materials. They use bows, swords, and spears."

Antonia added:

"The ones we encountered had blue or green eyes."

"Forest Elves," Felicia said.

Everyone became attentive.

"They possess an Authority connected to nature. They can manipulate plants, roots, and the forest itself."

Mimi looked around.

"That explains the natural energy."

Arnaldo nodded.

"But there are others."

The surroundings became quieter.

"Blood Elves."

Alexandra continued.

"They have red or amber eyes. Their Authority is related to blood."

John let out a whistle.

"That sounds unpleasant."

"It’s much worse than it sounds," Antonia replied.

She pointed toward a distant tree.

"One of them killed a creature simply by manipulating the blood inside its body."

Feliciana paled.

"That’s possible?"

"Yes."

Felicia answered calmly.

"An Authority does not have to obey the common laws of nature."

Alex looked at Arnaldo. The description of these Blood Elves matched someone he knew perfectly. She was the general of the Hunters Association. She had blonde hair, crimson-red eyes, pointed ears, and her Authority was blood manipulation.

"So we have two groups of elves."

"Yes."

"And are they in conflict?"

Arnaldo shook his head.

"No."

Alex frowned.

"No?"

"They are allies."

Before anyone could ask anything else, a roar tore through the forest. Everyone turned toward the sound, which had come from a distant location.

The ground began to tremble. The Galax Aiz Hunter specialized in defense immediately stepped forward.

"Something is coming."

The Assassin disappeared.

John smiled.

"He’s fast."

Alexandra did not answer. Her eyes remained fixed on the forest, and then dozens of creatures appeared between the trees. They were running desperately.

Monsters.

But there was something strange.

They were not attacking.

They were fleeing.

"Don’t attack." Alex raised his hand.

Immediately afterward, a creature rushed past them.

Then the elves appeared.

First came the Forest Elves.

They wore traditional elven warrior clothing, with light leather armor, cloaks, high boots, and pieces of fabric decorated with leaves and natural symbols. Bows were strapped to their backs, while others carried spears and swords.

Their blue and green eyes shone between the trees.

Right behind them came the Blood Elves.

Their clothing was similarly typical of elven warriors, but they possessed a darker appearance. Some wore light armor and long cloaks, while others carried swords and spears.

Their red and amber eyes immediately stood out.

Mimi raised her staff.

"They’re chasing the monsters."

"No."

Arnaldo replied.

"They’re chasing something else."

A completely different presence emerged behind the elves.

Dark energy spread throughout the forest.

The Forest Elves immediately prepared their bows.

The Blood Elves raised their weapons.

Then Alexandra spoke.

"It’s them."

"Who?" Monica asked.

"Corrupted Elves of the Abyss."

The silence disappeared.

A creature with an elven appearance emerged from the shadows. Its skin was dark gray, marked by black lines, while a dark aura surrounded its body.

Others appeared behind it.

There were dozens of them.

The Forest Elves fired immediately.

Arrows tore through the air.

Gigantic roots burst from the ground, while the Blood Elves advanced simultaneously.

The blood of the wounded creatures began flowing out of their bodies and forming blades in the air.

The Abyss Elves responded with dark energy.

The battle exploded.

And the humans were standing directly in the middle of it.

"Fall back!"

Alex shouted.

The Galax Aiz Guardian advanced and raised his defense, protecting the more vulnerable members of the group.

Mimi and Feliciana stayed behind him. Monica positioned herself beside Alex, while John disappeared among the trees once again.

The Galax Aiz Assassin also vanished.

Alexandra raised her hand.

"Galax Aiz, with me!"

The three remaining members of the guild immediately moved.

Tiffany remained protected in the center. Her hand tightly gripped the Dimensional Orb.

Alex realized something.

She was still one of the most important pieces in that situation. If that object had opened the path to that dimension, perhaps it was also the key to getting them out.

But there was no time to think about it.

A massive root emerged from the ground.

Alex raised Excalibur.

The root was crushed before it could reach them.

Monica advanced and destroyed another one.

Mimi fired a magical light arrow.

Feliciana raised a barrier.

At the same time, the Galax Aiz Guardian held the defensive line while the Assassin appeared behind an Abyss Elf and attacked its blind spot.

Alexandra coordinated the guild’s movements with precision.

Galax Aiz was not merely present.

They were fighting.

Each member fulfilled their role.

And Alex realized that this battle would be very different from the previous ones.

The Forest Elves and Blood Elves were allies.

The true enemy was the Abyss Elves.

But there was still one question that no one could answer.

How had the humans been brought into this war?

Alex tightened his grip around Excalibur, his gaze sweeping across the battlefield.

Perhaps the answer was somewhere in this world.

Perhaps it was connected to the Elves.

Or perhaps it was connected to the Dimensional Orb itself.

But one thing was certain.

The battle that had begun before them was not a simple fight between monsters.

It was a war.

Alex and the others realized that they might be trapped in the middle of a conflict far greater than they had imagined.
