Leveling Divine Class

Chapter 100 - 96: the elven forest

Alex took his first step, then stopped. Something had changed far away from there. Among the trees, a leaf fell.

Alex raised his dominant hand. Excalibur appeared, shining with purple light and crackling with lightning, and with it came a dramatic increase in his attributes.

He used Lightning Step Lv5 and crossed the distance in an instant, appearing behind a huge tree.

"Kiaaaa!"

Feliciana screamed when she saw Excalibur pointed at her neck. She was extremely frightened. She had just used her detection spell both to escape the monsters and to find someone from her team.

Who would have thought that her task force leader would be the one to cut off her head? She knew she was unlucky, but wasn't this too much?

"Feliciana, is that you?" Alex said, removing Excalibur from the frightened girl's neck.

"Yes... Leader..."

"Do you know where the others are?" Alex asked, retreating toward the knights. Feliciana gave the blue-haired, blue-eyed knight a strange look before turning toward Alex and answering.

"I don't know, but my detection spell can locate them since they aren't very far away. I was so worried about escaping the monsters that I only ended up finding the leader. I'm sorry." She finished speaking, embarrassed.

"That's great. Then can you guide me?"

"Um, yes, of course."

After walking east for about thirty minutes, they found someone.

"Alex, have you seen Mónica?" she asked, inspecting Alex's group, but unfortunately, there were only the Knights of the Round Table and Feliciana.

"It's just us for now. Now that we have you, you two can focus on finding the rest while my knights and I provide protection in case we encounter any monsters." Alex said, and both mages nodded positively.

"We need to locate everyone who was brought into this dimension."

Mimi immediately understood.

"We'll use magical detection, combining both spells for greater effectiveness."

"Exactly."

Feliciana held her staff with both hands. Mimi did the same. They closed their eyes, and a wave of magical energy silently spread through the forest.

At first, nothing happened. Then Feliciana opened her eyes.

"I found a presence."

"Really?" Alex asked.

"I can't distinguish it yet."

Mimi concentrated again.

"I found one too."

Alex looked at the two of them.

"Show us the way."

The two mages began leading the group through the forest.

Mónica followed directly behind Alex, protected by the black-armored knights. An hour later, thanks to the combined efforts of both mages, more members were located.

With a dagger in his hand, John walked several meters away, constantly observing his surroundings. Arnaldo remained silent, but his eyes examined every movement between the trees.

Felicia accompanied the group, her robotic eyes analyzing everything around them as if digitizing the environment.

"This forest possesses an abnormal concentration of spiritual energy."

Alex looked at her.

"You felt it too?"

"Yes."

Felicia pointed toward the trees.

"It's not merely mana accumulated in the environment. The energy seems to circulate through the trees themselves."

John looked at one of them.

"Then the forest is alive?"

"It's possible."

"Arnaldo, Felicia, shouldn't you explain what's going on? How long do you plan to keep me in the dark?"

Arnaldo, the Sword Saint, gave a slight, relaxed smile as he looked at Alex gently.

"Since you want to know, I'll tell you. You are a Lucid Being, aren't you?" Arnaldo's gaze suddenly became serious as he asked the question.

"Yes, I am. Well, that's what the system says." Alex answered honestly. It was a direct question. Arnaldo clearly knew more than he did, and trying to lie or conceal things would be counterproductive given the situation.

"What do you know about a Lucid Being and an Awakened?" Felicia turned her mechanical eyes toward Alex as she asked the question.

"About Awakened, I know the basics transmitted by the Association. As for Lucid Beings, I don't know anything about them."

"That's to be expected. Since you only possess two stars, knowledge about Lucid Beings is only available to two-star agents who are loyal to the Association. But since you are involved, there is no problem with you knowing the basics."

While everyone rested, waiting for Mimi and Feliciana to recover their MP and exhaustion, Alex, Arnaldo, and Felicia went to a corner to talk.

"Given the urgency of the situation, we don't have much time to explain everything," Arnaldo said.

"Your father, the professor, is also a Lucid Being. Hunters with this designation possess the status required to initiate a dimensional invasion as long as the minimum requirements are met."

Alex merely looked at him, his brow slightly furrowed. He wanted to know if all of this was connected to parallel realities.

"To initiate a dimensional invasion, two mandatory requirements are needed: a Dimensional Orb and a Lucid Being with at least two stars. When the General read your report about the Spider Dungeon, she assigned this mission to us."

"How?" Alex asked.

"The General is a very perceptive woman. From your report, she knew that Tiffany possessed a Dimensional Orb, and since it was a class item, that meant the girl was a walking Dimensional Orb."

When Arnaldo left, Felicia continued.

"All that was needed was to put you and Tiffany together in a Dungeon, and a dimensional invasion would automatically begin. And since you are only a two-star Lucid Being, the General sent only Arnaldo and me to accompany you and keep you alive."

"Arnaldo, you said that we might find my father. What did you mean?"

"Your father didn't disappear in a Dungeon, as stated in the reports. He disappeared during a dimensional invasion. Only the General returned from that invasion."

"There." Mimi's voice suddenly rang out loudly, interrupting the conversation between the three.

Everyone looked toward the direction she was pointing.

"Let's continue later," Arnaldo said.

Several figures emerged from between the trees. Alex immediately recognized one of the girls among the hunters.

"Tiffany."

She was accompanied by several members of Galax Aiz. Tiffany held the Dimensional Orb close to her body. Her expression showed tension, but she appeared unharmed.

Beside her were Antonia and Alexandra, while the other two figures were men.

One of them wore heavy armor designed for defensive combat, while the other maintained a much more discreet posture. His movements were light, and his eyes constantly examined the surroundings.

They were the two remaining two-star Hunters from Galax Aiz. Alexandra was the first to approach.

"We finally found you."

Alex nodded.

"Is everyone alright?"

"Yes, we're all fine. What about you? We were about to go look for you."

Alexandra looked at her companions before continuing.

"We were separated as soon as we crossed the portal. Each group appeared in a different region."

Antonia let out a sigh.

"I went through a rather unpleasant situation before finding Leader Alexandra."

The man in heavy armor let out a small laugh.

"We all did."

The other Hunter remained silent, observing the forest.

John approached him.

"Are you looking for something?"

"Movement."

The answer was brief.

John smiled.

"Then we're two of a kind. Tell me, did you find anything?"

Alexandra looked at Alex.

"And the rest of your task force?"

"We're looking for them."

Mimi raised her staff.

"We've already found most of them, and we can find the others."

Feliciana nodded timidly.

"There are still some magical signatures scattered throughout the region."

Alex looked at the two of them.

"Continue."

The detection continued.
