Leveling Divine Class

Chapter 95 - 91 Galax Aiz

Chapter 95: Chapter 91 Galax Aiz

Chapter 91 Galax Aiz

Wednesday morning, Alex arrived at the Hunter Association accompanied by the rest of his task force.

He still did not know them very well, exactly, but they were the people he would find easiest to deal with and work alongside.

Mimi and Monica had an agreement between them after the three of them survived the Minotaur Priest’s double dungeon, so they would obey him without question.

John was someone mysterious but loyal, and he always supported his decisions, whether they were the best ones or not. He had noticed this during the rescue of the kidnapped girls in the Smoke operation.

Felicia was someone who had been sent by Alex as a requirement for the formation of his task force, but she seemed willing to follow his arrangements.

Feliciana, on the other hand, was a timid and very fearful girl, but her efforts to progress in her class and become a good Hunter were evident and quite inspiring.

Today, they would begin their first mission with the addition of Arnaldo, the Sword Saint, to their task force.

The previous day, after his conversation with Felicia, Alex had spent most of the night reviewing the documents about Galax Aiz. The more he read, the more he realized that the mission would not be a simple supervision operation.

The Association was already monitoring the guild because of irregularities related to its dungeon operations. In addition, there were suspicions involving corpse trafficking.

"We’re all here, right?" Alex asked.

Monica crossed her arms, leaning against the wall beside Mimi.

"Of course. Now that you’ve arrived, we are."

Alex looked at her.

Mimi let out a small laugh.

John, on the other hand, seemed more interested in the documents scattered across the table.

"So this is the famous Galax Aiz?"

"Yes."

Alex picked up the report.

"Let’s go there. We’ll receive the instructions and accompany the operation."

Feliciana held her own documents against her chest. Despite trying to maintain a professional expression, her fingers were tightly gripping the paper.

"Leader..."

"Yes?"

"If something happens inside the dungeon, should I... stay behind everyone?"

Alex thought for a few seconds.

"Not necessarily. I want you to stay where you can support the others. You don’t need to remain on the front line."

Feliciana quickly nodded.

"Understood."

Arnaldo watched the conversation in silence. The Sword Saint had been sent not to lead the mission, but rather as a guarantee for the worst-case scenario.

"Is there a problem, Arnaldo?" Alex asked when he noticed the Sword Saint looking at him.

"None," Arnaldo replied calmly, remembering his program and wondering if he would have to perform the same role.

"You are the leader."

Alex remained silent for a moment. He still did not know whether that was a compliment.

"Everything is ready. We can go now," Felicia said, her blonde hair gently waving.

Alex nodded.

"Then let’s go."

The Galax Aiz headquarters was located in a busy area of the city.

It was a large building, much bigger than Alex had expected. Several Hunters entered and left through the main doors, some carrying equipment, while others talked as they waited for their teams to be formed.

Alex observed everything carefully.

A guild of this size possessed many resources, and that made the Association’s suspicions even more concerning.

When they entered, an employee approached them.

"Welcome to Galax Aiz. May I ask the reason for your visit?"

Felicia showed her identification.

"Hunter Association. We are here for the authorized supervision operation. You can take us to the person responsible."

The employee immediately became more serious.

"Understood. Please wait a few minutes. I’ll call someone to attend to you."

He then quickly left.

John leaned toward Alex.

"If you want, I can gather some information while we wait."

Alex gave him a look.

"You mean emptying the pockets of some Hunters. That’s what you mean, isn’t it?"

"I would never do that. I would only gather some information from their wallets."

"Hmph."

John smiled.

"It was only a suggestion."

Monica let out a sigh. She had already been a victim of this scoundrel. If the delinquent had not been a two-star Hunter while she was only a one-star, and if Alex had not forbidden a confrontation, she would have taken her flaming sword and set him on fire.

"You two are impossible."

A little later, a different presence appeared in the corridor.

Alex recognized the woman from the report he had received.

A woman with grayish hair and a cat ear on top of her head. A feline tail swayed as she walked, but the most surprising thing was her green eyes with vertical pupils.

The person responsible for Galax Aiz approached with graceful steps. Her expression showed no enthusiasm at finding Association agents inside the guild.

"Felicia Platinum Omega and the Sword Saint. What a surprise to have you here."

Alexandra stopped in front of them.

"I wasn’t expecting such a large task force."

"Neither was I expecting to find so many problems in a guild that claims to be operating normally."

Alexandra’s welcoming smile disappeared for an instant.

"We are cooperating with the Association."

She shrugged.

"I hope so," Felicia replied without changing her tone.

Alex remained silent. Even though he was the leader, there was no need for him to participate in that conversation.

"This is Alex Wellny," Felicia said. "He will be responsible for the operational decisions during the raid. He is the leader of this task force, so you will need to coordinate with him."

Alexandra turned her eyes toward Alex.

For several seconds, neither of them said anything.

"So this is the young man I’ve been hearing about. His son."

Alex simply nodded.

"I hope the operation goes smoothly."

"I hope so too."

Alexandra gestured for them to follow.

"Our team is already preparing. We’ll enter a dungeon as soon as everything is settled."

They crossed a corridor until they reached an area designated for the Hunters who would participate in the raid.

That was when Alex saw her.

Tiffany.

His body became still for a fraction of a second. Even though he had known beforehand that she would be here today, he was still surprised.

Her purple hair was now shorter than he remembered, falling just below her shoulders.

She was different.

But she was still Tiffany.

Almost the same girl he had loved in his original reality.

The girl who, in this reality, looked at him as though he were someone she should fear.

Their eyes met.

Tiffany also stopped and froze in place.

Her expression changed immediately.

Her fingers slowly tightened.

Alex felt a strange pressure in his chest, but he did not move forward. He knew that any sudden movement could make things worse.

Supposedly, Alex had tried to violate her, and later, when things were supposedly getting better, he had said things about Tiffany’s older sister that no one should have known.

Alex had also used Tiffany as a hostage to escape the Spider Dungeon.

"Tiffany."

His voice came out too quietly to be heard.

Tiffany simply looked away.

And that was all.

Neither of them knew what to say after that.

Monica watched the two of them in silence, realizing that there was something strange about their interaction, but she did not ask any questions.

Part 2

Alexandra began introducing her people.

"This is Tiffany. She recently joined Galax Aiz."

Alex looked away from her.

"Right."

"She’s not the only one."

Alexandra pointed toward another Hunter who was preparing.

"A two-star Hunter joined the guild the week before Tiffany. Antonia."

Alex frowned.

Two two-star Hunters joining the same guild within such a short period was not something common.

He immediately remembered the document he had read at the Association.

That coincidence was precisely one of the reasons the guild had attracted attention.

"Who is she?"

Alexandra answered:

"A new member."

She added nothing else.

Alex realized that the woman had no intention of providing more information than necessary.

John had noticed it as well.

"Interesting."

He murmured.

Alex looked at him.

John discreetly pointed toward the assembled Hunters.

"There are a lot of new people."

Alex nodded.

That needed to be investigated.

But not here.

The operation would begin first.

An employee approached Alexandra.

"Team Leader Alexandra, the team is ready for the raid."

Alexandra looked at the Hunters.

"Then let’s go."

Everyone began to move.

Alex and his task force followed alongside the Sword Saint as they accompanied the group.

It was then that he noticed something.

Tiffany discreetly brought her hand to the inner pocket of her clothes for an instant.

A small light passed through the fabric.

Alex stopped.

His gaze remained fixed on that spot.

He narrowed his eyes.

Felicia watched everything from a distance.

Her gaze remained on Alex for several seconds before turning toward the dungeon entrance.

"Don’t fall out of formation."

She ordered.

The Hunters began advancing.

The dungeon entrance appeared before them.

Alex took a deep breath.

He clenched his fists.

"Everyone, stay alert."

Monica smiled.

"Finally."

Mimi gripped her staff.

Feliciana took a deep breath and prepared herself.

John disappeared a few steps to the side, discreetly analyzing the surroundings.

Arnaldo simply placed his hand over his pocket.

Felicia remained behind them, watching.

Then, the members of Galax Aiz crossed the entrance.

Alex followed right behind them.

Tiffany entered a few meters ahead of him.

The system reacted.

[ANALYSIS IN PROGRESS.]

Alex and the remaining Hunters stared into the darkness of the dungeon.

And, for the first time since the mission had begun, Alex had the feeling that perhaps Galax Aiz was not the true target of this investigation.

Perhaps it was merely the door.
