Live-in Son-in-law
Chapter 1644: If They Lose a Single Hair, I’ll Destroy Your City Lord’s Mansion"Who are you, and why do you dare invade my City Lord’s Mansion at night?"
An elder clad in a luxurious robe with a sallow face stepped out, gazing coldly at Qin Yi.
Qin Yi glanced at him disdainfully, "Are you Jin Nu?"
The elder’s face grew darker, speaking coldly, "I am a guest of the Jin Family, Qiao Cheng."
"A mere guest isn’t worthy of speaking with me. Have Jin Nu meet me."
"Insolence!" Qiao Cheng exploded in fury, "Young man, you’re speaking recklessly. I advise you to tell me who you are and not make a mistake."
Qin Yi’s gaze turned chilly, "Get lost!"
"Arrogant brat, if you don’t speak now, once I subdue you, you won’t have a choice but to talk."
Qiao Cheng sneered as his figure rose, a powerful aura surging around him.
Qin Yi waved his hand, the air roared as the ascending Qiao Cheng was slammed down as if a mountain had struck him, crashing back to the ground.
"Boom!"
The ground was shattered by the tremendous force, and Qiao Cheng lay embedded in the earth, bones broken and on the brink of death.
The surrounding people watched in shock, their breath caught.
Qiao Cheng, a Third Rank Transcendence Tribulation Stage expert, was defeated with a single move.
This young man’s power was terrifying.
He was undoubtedly a high-ranking Transcendence Tribulation Stage expert.
Qin Yi coldly surveyed the area, "Bring out Jin Nu to meet me, or I’ll destroy the City Lord’s Mansion."
With that, Qin Yi raised his hand, a surge of purple light forming a massive handprint that shot forward.
"Boom!"
The Nine Dragon Wall on the eastern square was obliterated, reduced to rubble.
"How dare you cause havoc in my City Lord’s Mansion, I see you are..."
An elder stepped forward angrily condemning.
"Fool, shut up!"
Qin Yi’s cold shout cut him off.
Spoken Word Follows.
The elder’s eyes turned vacant, raising his hand to slap himself so hard he shattered his cheekbone, spinning twice mid-air, landing with a twisted face and blood oozing.
The fall woke him.
He was instantly terrified, hair standing on end.
The crowd instinctively backed away.
Qin Yi’s method was too bizarre; just one word made a Low Rank Transcendence Tribulation expert ruin half his face. To those unaware, it might seem like an act.
"Since Jin Nu isn’t coming out, I’ll destroy the City Lord’s Mansion and see how long he can hide,"
Qin Yi formed a seal with one hand.
The void quaked, lonely stars losing their shine.
A several hundred meters long Sky-reaching Giant Blade hovered above, resplendent and magnificent.
Yet everyone’s soul trembled, knowing this blade wasn’t just for show.
Qin Yi gestured sharply, slicing through the air.
Instantly, air within a kilometer went berserk, the giant blade cutting towards the ground.
"Boom!"
Devastation ensued, the explosion earth-shattering.
Soil erupted, dust and debris swept away.
The earth split with a terrifying fissure hundreds of meters long, obliterating all buildings, plants, and trees in its path.
This fearsome destructive power made everyone’s soul waver, faces full of terror.
Qin Yi snorted softly, "It seems Jin Nu is quite composed. If so, I’ll thoroughly destroy the mansion and drag him out."
Qin Yi slowly extended his hand, the surrounding air roiling like a storm.
"Stop!"
Suddenly, a thunderous roar swept over like rolling thunder.
A middle-aged man, handsome in features, donned in fine robes and a jade crown, appeared.
Though appearing young, Qin Yi could tell he was over a century old; the age in his eyes was unmistakable.
"Jin Nu?"
Qin Yi inquired.
The man nodded slightly, examining the damaged area Qin Yi had caused, turning back to Qin Yi with indifference, "You invaded my City Lord’s Mansion at night, demanding to see me, causing such a commotion. Are you mocking my Mansion as empty?"
Qin Yi chuckled dismissively, "To me, your Mansion is indeed empty. Do you believe that if I wish, I could leave it in ruins by sunrise?"
Qin Yi spoke with unwavering certainty, realizing Jin Nu was not the formidable expert he expected, merely a Sixth Rank Transcendence Tribulation Stage, similar in cultivation to the royal Wei Tianlai.
Wei Tianlai couldn’t withstand a single move from him, and Jin Nu wouldn’t fare better.
Jin Nu eyed Qin Yi coldly, anger flickering briefly before he spoke steadily, "What brings you here late at night?"
"You’ve misunderstood, I came for a reason, but not for a visit, as you’re not worthy."
"Jin Nu, I’m here for one thing. About half a month ago, three friends of mine were injured and ended up in your mansion. Hand them over, or your City Lord’s Mansion will not withstand my wrath."
Jin Nu’s eyes narrowed slightly, but his expression remained unchanged, "You are mistaken. I’ve never seen your three friends."
"I haven’t described them, yet you’re certain you haven’t seen them?"
Jin Nu was momentarily taken aback, then calmly said, "I am too busy to meet outsiders, and I haven’t stepped out of the mansion for the past half month. So, I haven’t seen your friends."
Qin Yi laughed coldly, knowing Jin Nu was a sly fox, not easy to trap in words.
"Jin Nu, I didn’t come for verification. My coming means I am certain my friends are in your hands. Hand them over, or there’s still room for negotiation. If not, I’ll ensure your Mansion is barren."
Jin Nu expressionless said, "A baseless accusation! Accusing me with only your word, I do not accept."
Qin Yi tossed a Jade Pendant in front of Jin Nu, "Honestly, I thought we could talk this out. Now it seems unnecessary."
Recognizing the pendant at his feet, Jin Nu’s face subtly shifted.
It was his son Jin Jing’s pendant, given personally by him, unmistakable.
"What have you done to my son?"
Jin Nu’s sharp gaze pinned on Qin Yi, "I tell you, if my son is harmed even slightly, I shall fight to death, even if it leaves the Mansion with one soldier."
Qin Yi sneered dismissively, "Then I’ll annihilate that last soldier."
"Jin Nu, the Sea City’s experts’ mysterious disappearances, is it your Mansion’s doing?"
"Is there a Netherworld Clan presence in the mansion, and those experts turned into puppets by you for them?"
Jin Nu’s face twisted, fiercely staring at Qin Yi.
"Who are you, really?"
Qin Yi’s eyes narrowed slightly, from Jin Nu’s reaction, he had guessed correctly.
"My name is Qin Yi. Jin Nu, hear me well; if my friends are harmed even slightly, I’ll peel the flesh from your bones piece by piece."
Jin Nu’s gaze flickered, his voice trembled as he shouted, "I truly don’t know what you’re talking about! This is a baseless accusation, prove your claim if you dare."
