Chapter 1702: Laughing at Your Idiocy

Qin Yi looked at Dugu Ao coldly and mocked, "City Lord Dugu, we’re still waiting for your performance. Hurry up, stop wasting time."

"Hmph, what a joke. I, Dugu Ao, fear not death, but why should I honor a promise to my enemy?"

Dugu Ao sneered disdainfully.

Qin Yi sneered back, "Fearing death isn’t shameful, everyone fears death. But finding excuses for it is utterly shameless."

"Hmph, I’m too lazy to argue with you; you aren’t even qualified."

Qin Yi coldly laughed, "I’ve seen shameless people, but never someone as shameless as you."

As Qin Yi spoke, a flash of light appeared in his hand, and the Big Mace was collected into the Storage Ring.

Dugu Ao’s face darkened; that Big Mace was a top-grade Holy Artifact.

Seeing the Storage Ring on Qin Yi’s hand, he instinctively looked at his own fingers only to be stunned on the spot... His own Storage Ring was nowhere to be found.

"Was it you?"

Dugu Ao stared at Qin Yi with a steel-blue expression.

Qin Yi sneered, "What do you mean, me? Your father? Then you’ve got the wrong person; I don’t have an untrustworthy son like you."

Dugu Ao angrily said, "Qin Yi, return my Storage Ring."

That Storage Ring holds the resources he painstakingly accumulated over the years.

Qin Yi looked disdainful, "Want it? Come and get it."

Earlier, when he clashed palms with Dugu Ao, he took the opportunity to swipe his Storage Ring, and this fool only now realized it was missing.

Dugu Ao’s face turned so dark it seemed to be dripping water; he stared hard at Qin Yi but dared not approach.

The nearby Netherworld General snorted lightly and stepped forward slowly.

Dugu Ao’s stature shrunk immediately.

"Useless."

The Netherworld General showed no regard for Dugu Ao, uttering a mocking remark.

Dugu Ao lowered his head in shame and anger, his eyes flashing coldly; he shot a glance at Qin Yi, his gaze vicious. He blamed Qin Yi for all of it.

The Netherworld General slowly took off his large black hat, revealing a disturbingly pale, expressionless old face.

Qin Yi assessed the opponent; this person was unassuming, but the aura around him was intimidating, something that appears when one’s cultivation reaches a certain level.

The Netherworld General looked at Qin Yi, expressionless, and said, "You are quite impressive; you deserve to know my name, so at least you’ll understand. Remember, I am Heng Li, under the command of the God Slaying Netherworld King."

Qin Yi couldn’t help but burst out laughing, his disdain apparent.

"What are you laughing at?"

Heng Li’s gaze was ghastly as he stared at Qin Yi.

Qin Yi replied indifferently, "I’m laughing at your stupidity; trying to act tough is most fatal."

"You will pay for your words."

Qin Yi coldly smiled, "If the God Slaying Netherworld King said that, it might have some credibility. As for you, those words are less intimidating than the smell of a fart."

"How dare you! Do you even deserve to mention the God Slaying Netherworld King?"

Qin Yi laughed out loud, "To you, the God Slaying Netherworld King is a master; to me, he’s not even worth a fart—I slaughtered him like a dog in Wufeng City."

"You dare court death."

Heng Li’s gaze turned vicious, as black energy began to circulate around him, his aura rising.

"You will pay for your words."

Heng Li angrily said, slowly raising his hand and extending a finger, pointing it at Qin Yi. In the air, a massive finger mark formed from condensed black Qi, pressing down toward Qin Yi. The stance seemed to consider Qin Yi as nothing more than an ant.

Qin Yi’s eyes flashed like lightning; he snorted coldly and replied indifferently, "In front of me, nobody can act arrogantly. The God Slaying Netherworld King couldn’t, and neither can you—your hair wants to strangle you."

Spirit Awakening Technique, Spoken Word Follows.

Heng Li’s eyes instantly turned dazed; his long white hair suddenly seemed to come alive, like snakes wrapped around his neck, pulling tight, digging into the flesh.

Heng Li was, after all, a top Transcendance Tribulation Stage expert, only momentarily lost before recovering.

"Boom!"

Black Qi swirled around his neck, severing the gray-white hair.

However, the glaring red wound on Heng Li’s neck not only shocked him but also frightened the Qi Refiners nearby.

Heng Li’s gaze grew cold as he touched his neck, seeing his blood-stained fingers.

"It has been so long since I’ve been injured."

Heng Li slowly said, but his voice was laced with an endless chill.

He looked at Qin Yi, murderous intent flashing in his eyes, "How did you learn the Vajra Sect’s technique?"

"Because the Vajra Sect secretly serves me as their master; why would it be strange that I know their techniques."

Heng Li snorted coldly; he naturally didn’t believe Qin Yi’s nonsense. The Vajra Sect was the Netherworld Clan’s dog—a very biting dog—and couldn’t possibly betray them.

"You may refuse to talk now, but once you’re in my hands, it won’t be up to you."

Qin Yi chuckled disdainfully, "Then let’s wait until I’m in your hands to discuss it."

With that, Qin Yi wasted no more words, his figure like flowing light, aggressively charging toward Heng Li.

Seeing this, Heng Li roared in anger; black Qi surged around him as he struck out with a palm, the black Qi transforming into a giant python hurling toward Qin Yi.

"Boom!"

Qin Yi swung his fist, and as it struck out, fist light swept across and shredded the black python into fragments.

"Your pants are down."

Qin Yi suddenly remarked.

Heng Li’s eyes went dazed instantly; his pants did slip down, exposing two thin old legs.

Yet he quickly regained clarity, prioritizing not to pull up his pants but to strike a palm forward, black Qi rolling, twisting the area before him.

"Boom!"

"Boom!"

"Boom!"

Three millstone-sized fist marks ripped through the palm wind, blasting Heng Li dozens of meters back.

Though it was only a short distance, it shocked not only Dugu Ao and the Qi Refiners around but raised their hackles.

Heng Li, a peak Transcendance Tribulation Stage expert, was forced back by Qin Yi. And he hadn’t even had time to pull up his pants.

Heng Li steadied his stance, his head snapping up, eyes narrowing sharply, Qin Yi was gone.

Behind him, a vague Star Ring had appeared, formed by moon and star symbols.

The vanished Qin Yi flashed forth from the Star Ring, delivering a powerful kick to the back of Heng Li’s head.

This kick, forceful and heavy, capable of demolishing a small mountain, was not only tremendously powerful but insultingly so.

A peak Transcendance Tribulation Stage expert being kicked in the head would be disgraceful regardless of whether Heng Li killed Qin Yi, and would mar him for life.

Moreover, Heng Li, being under the God Slaying Netherworld King, Qin Yi’s kick wasn’t just to shame Heng Li but also to slap the face of the God Slaying Netherworld King.

Originally, Heng Li planned to pull up his pants, but suddenly the cold chills ran down his spine.

"Boom!"

Terror-inducing black energy exploded outward, sweeping madly in all directions.

"Bang!"

Amidst the storm, a dull clash sounded; Heng Li grunted, hurtling like a cannonball.
