Chapter 177: The Meeting of Princesses

Syra giggled at his bizarre interaction with the floating camera. She folded her hands together and smiled at him. "Would you care to introduce yourself and your friends?"

"I am known as Solomon," he responded, his voice dripping with mild sarcasm. He pointed a finger at the boy with thick spectacles. "This is Arthur Vance. He drops wardrobes on people."

Arthur waved nervously at the royal.

Solomon shifted his finger. "That is Maximus. He blocks things with his bronze shield. And this is Marco. He basically enjoys getting beaten up."

Marco let out a tired sigh and rubbed the back of his neck.

[James_hayes: best introductions ever.]

[Scott_Carson: bro literally roasted his whole squad.]

[Stinosaurus: Marco catching strays again.]

[ZoomTech: Arthur the wardrobe dropper.]

Solomon finally turned toward Elizabeth. The white-haired girl maintained her intense scowl. Before Solomon could utter a single word to introduce her, Lune stepped forward and raised her hand.

"There is no need to introduce her," Lune stated. "I already know exactly who she is. Her name is Elizabeth La Bririth."

Syra nodded in agreement, recognizing the name immediately.

Solomon tilted his head in genuine curiosity. "How do you know her name? Have you been secretly watching my stream again?"

Lune hissed and took a quick step back. A brilliant crimson flush coated her cheeks. "I absolutely have not! I told you I do not watch your silly broadcasts!"

She cleared her throat and hastily adjusted the collar of her dark tunic, her denial sounding incredibly suspicious.

"I know her because of her older sister, Emilia La Bririth," Lune explained, regaining her royal composure. "Emilia and I are very good friends. We shared our debutante season together and we run in the same social circles."

Elizabeth shifted her weight uncomfortably on the grass. She kept her mouth shut, yet her eyes darted away from the group.

"You were so incredibly small the first time I met you, Elizabeth," Lune continued, offering a warm and nostalgic smile. "I remember you were only fifteen during my debutante season. Emilia hosted a lovely tea party at her estate. You walked into the parlor holding a little stuffed bunny, completely hiding behind your sister’s dress."

Lune giggled at the memory. "You were practically in tears. You kept telling us how nervous you were about your upcoming talent awakening."

Elizabeth turned bright red. She stared intently at the cobblestone path, clearly wishing the earth would swallow her whole.

"Look at you now," Lune praised, gesturing toward the steel rapier at Elizabeth’s waist. "You have grown into such a fine woman... enough to ’rival’ me, huh?"

[1Fizzy: AHAHAHA THE LORE DROP!]

[Fatal_Beauty: stuffed bunny! that is so cute!]

[LazyCat: Elizabeth is dying inside right now.]

[BloodKnight: Even the fiercest warriors have humble beginnings.]

[Mezz_3863: Lune basically just called her a little kid.]

[User12: the royal connections are crazy.]

[Dark_Skies: Elizabeth cannot even defend herself from that.]

Solomon crossed his arms and looked at the blushing white-haired girl. ’I cannot picture her crying over a stuffed bunny. She literally kicked me across a courtyard the first day we met.’

"I talked to Syra about what happened earlier," Yue closed her jade fan with a soft click. "She promised it will not happen again, and the royal court will compensate us for the disrespect. I am thinking about accepting the mission to protect her."

Solomon tilted his head. "Are you asking for my permission?"

"I do not need to ask for your permission," Yue corrected him, keeping her tone light. "I am simply informing you. I am asking if you are still interested in getting your academy star."

Solomon crossed his arms over his chest. "I usually do not give second chances. I am only letting this slide because my chat is begging me to accept the quest."

[1Fizzy: LIES! WE DID NOT SAY THAT!]

[James_hayes: bro using us as a scapegoat.]

[Mezz_3863: Solo Man wants that star so bad.]

[Tyler_Klare: the gaslighting is crazy today.]

[Fatal_Beauty: we literally told you to walk away lol.]

Syra walked up beside Yue and offered a graceful bow of her head. "Thank you, Solomon. You will be treated with the utmost respect during your stay. If anyone misbehaves with you again, please let me know."

The royal gestured to a nearby palace guard wearing pristine white armor. "Treat Solomon and his friends with care. Show them to their designated guest rooms."

Yue and Syra turned around and exited the inner garden, heading back toward the main palace wings to finalize the contract.

Solomon turned his attention to his four temporary students. "You guys should rest for the night. We will begin your training first thing tomorrow morning. I am going to be a very harsh teacher, so you better enjoy your free time today."

The palace guard gestured down the cobblestone path. Marco, Maximus, and Arthur followed the sentry without any complaints. Elizabeth lingered behind for a moment. She reluctantly joined the boys, glancing back over her shoulder repeatedly to look at Solomon and Lune standing alone under the cherry blossom tree.

Solomon adjusted the leather strap across his chest and prepared to follow his class. "I will go get some rest too."

"Not so fast," Lune interjected, stepping into his path. "You are not going anywhere yet."

Solomon raised an eyebrow. "What do you want?"

"If you are going to help protect Syra during the royal sermon, you need to know the battlefield," Lune explained. "I am going to show you around the palace. You must understand the layout, the escape routes, and the security blind spots."

Since her logic was tactically sound, Solomon nodded his agreement.

Lune guided him out of the garden and led him through the sprawling estate. They walked down long corridors lined with towering marble pillars. She pointed out the intersections connecting the eastern guest wing to the royal armory.

They visited the upper balconies to observe the primary courtyards. She showed him the hidden servant passages tucked behind decorative tapestries, explaining how assassins could easily use those narrow routes to bypass the main checkpoints.

Solomon memorized every entrance, exit, and chokepoint they passed.

They eventually stopped near a large open window overlooking the training grounds. Lune leaned against the stone sill and looked at him.

"I honestly did not expect you to keep your cool earlier," Lune admitted, studying his face. "When Commander Feng was yelling at you, I fully expected you to beat him unconscious right there on the grass. Why did you hold back?"

The hovering bronze owl adjusted its lens.

[Chi_Master: we were wondering the same thing.]

[Foodball: bro normally punches first and asks questions later.]

[Austin: yeah why didn’t you hit him?]
