Chapter 201: Checking on Students

Solomon read the scrolling text and quickly dodged the subject. "The royal sermon comes first. We have a security mission to finish, so getting distracted by personal opinions helps no one."

[Mezz_3863: bro dodging the question like an arrow.]

[James_hayes: smooth evasion.]

[Fatal_Beauty: he is avoiding it!]

Pushing the chat aside, Solomon walked across the dirt rings until he found Marco, Arthur, Maximus, and Elizabeth. The four teenagers were practicing their sword forms earnestly, swinging their wooden blades with focused determination.

While Solomon slept earlier in the day, his viewers had taken the initiative to hop into the students’ individual live streams. The audience watched them train, took detailed notes, and even corrected their stances in the chat, essentially doing Solomon’s teaching work for him.

[Alpha_char: we got your back teach.]

[MattMickyD: Arthur needed so much help with his footing.]

[Brerell: we basically ran the class today.]

[Xenedra: the chat is the real MVP.]

Solomon inspected their progress, feeling pleasantly surprised by the results. Marco had executed the twelfth step with perfect balance. Since he already knew the mechanics of the eleventh and twelfth movements, he only needed the repetition to secure them in his muscle memory.

Now, Marco only had to learn the final, thirteenth step.

Elizabeth pushed through her fatigue to reach the sixth form, showcasing her fast learning speed. Maximus, however, shocked Solomon the most. The sturdy Vanguard student had progressed all the way to the eighth step.

’He masters these forms so easily,’ Solomon thought, observing the older boy’s footwork. ’Perhaps his barbarian background gives him a natural edge in physical comprehension.’

Finally, Solomon shifted his gaze to Arthur. The telekinetic boy remained stuck on the third form, gasping for breath after every single swing.

’What should I do with him?’ Solomon wondered, leaning against a nearby wooden rack.

Arthur tried just as hard as the others, matching their dedication swing for swing. The issue was not a lack of effort, but a fundamental weakness in his physical body. His constitution simply could not keep up with the demands of the Azure Crane Blade.

Even if Solomon initiated a rigorous physical conditioning program, altering the boy’s baseline stamina would take months, far exceeding their two-week deadline.

Solomon walked across the training ground and stopped beside Marco. "I will teach you the thirteenth step now," Solomon offered, resting Eden’s Penance against the dirt.

Marco shook his head and lowered his practice sword. "I have watched you perform the final sequence a few times already. I want to try figuring it out on my own first. Tinkering with the transition will give me a much better understanding of the mechanics. I will come to you for fixes once I hit a wall."

"That is a great mindset," Solomon praised, offering a bright smile. "Self-correction builds the best foundation."

[Mezz_3863: Marco is locked in.]

[James_hayes: big brain strats from Marco.]

[Zoomtech: Solo Man respects the grind.]

[Tyler_Klare: W student.]

Moving to the next ring, Solomon watched Elizabeth execute the sixth step of the Azure Crane Blade. She dropped her hips and swung her wooden rapier in a sweeping arc, landing perfectly balanced on her boots.

"How was that?" Elizabeth asked, looking at him with hopeful red eyes.

"You mastered it," Solomon commended, clapping his hands together. "The next four steps rely heavily on rapid thrusts and evasive footwork. Since those movements naturally match your royal fencing style, you will breeze right through them."

A bright pink hue dusted her cheeks. She turned away quickly to hide her growing smile and resumed practicing the seventh form with renewed energy.

[1Fizzy: she is blushing again!]

[Foodball: Solo Man dropping the compliments.]

[M00N: Elizabeth leveling up so fast.]

[Fatal_Beauty: the praise motivates her so much.]

Solomon then approached Maximus. The Vanguard student hacked at the air with stiff precision, forcing every single swing to mirror the textbook demonstration.

"You are doing great, but you are trying way too hard to be perfect," Solomon instructed, grabbing the boy’s shoulder to loosen his posture. "Let the weapon flow naturally. If you consciously overthink every single angle, you will hesitate during a real battle. Muscle memory needs to trigger automatically."

Maximus nodded in understanding and relaxed his grip, allowing the practice sword to carry its own momentum through the next swing.

Finally, Solomon stopped next to Arthur. The telekinetic boy leaned against his wooden sword, his uniform soaking wet with sweat.

"How are you holding up?" Solomon asked, inspecting the boy’s pale face.

"I just cannot keep up," Arthur gasped, pushing his spectacles up the bridge of his nose.

Solomon frowned at the severe physical reaction. "It is rather strange how quickly you lose your breath. Sweating this much after a few basic drills is unnatural. Do you have some kind of underlying condition or physical disorder?"

Arthur kept his mouth shut and stared at the grass.

"Is it a personal issue that you cannot talk about on the live stream?" Solomon asked, gesturing toward the hovering bronze owl.

Arthur offered a quiet nod.

"We will change your curriculum," Solomon decided, patting the boy’s back. "Stop worrying about mastering the physical execution for now. Just focus on learning the choreography. Since you know the first three forms, spend the rest of the time memorizing the visual steps for the next three."

[Alpha_char: Solo Man adapting his teaching methods.]

[MattMickyD: Arthur really struggling out here.]

[LazyCat: we support you Arthur!]

[Frendscham: W teacher.]

[BloodKnight: A mentor must recognize the limits of his disciples.]

The class practiced earnestly until the sun set over the palace walls. Solomon dismissed them for the evening, and the group returned to their guest quarters to wash up before heading to the grand dining hall for dinner.

The banquet room bustled with royal family members, pavilion leaders, and elite guards. Solomon took his seat next to Elizabeth and grabbed a plate of roasted meat. He chewed his food while casually scanning the faces of the armored soldiers lining the walls.

He noticed a glaring absence near the main doors.

"Does anyone know where Commander Feng is?" Solomon asked aloud, looking around the hall.

He had already taken his revenge on the mocking gate guards and the lazy soldiers. Only Feng remained on his list of debtors. Solomon fully intended to settle that score before the royal sermon ended and they returned to the Azure Dragon Sect.
