Chapter 1802 - 1334: I’m Even Willing to Help You Build a Harem (2)

"You keep sleeping, I’ll call you for lunch."

"Then I book a personal wake-up service!" The Witch fell asleep right away.

...

...

At the boundary between the Ancient Battlefield and the Sky Garden, Sonia was fine-tuning the environmental parameters of the two domains, observing the feedback on the environment from the intrusion of magic flows. However, she seemed a bit distracted, occasionally gazing blankly at the sky.

"Call me to help you braid your hair."

Ash’s voice suddenly sounded from behind, and then Sonia felt her hastily tied hair come loose. Ash had even brought a comb and was quite satisfied after tying a beautiful high ponytail, circling around Sonia a few times.

"Up so early?"

"The Witch kicked me off the bed three times, I had no choice but to get up." Ash complained, "It’s strange though, when we sleep together, she doesn’t have such a bad sleeping posture... Is it that only Liss has bad sleeping posture, while Diya sleeps normally?"

"You could still exercise in the morning after waking up." Sonia said casually.

"That’s your fault, your combat power is so strong in the dark, I was utterly exhausted." Ash spread his hands, "And the Witch is still in her little girl form, I almost suspect you are trying to frame me."

"You actually care about this? I thought you were a garbage bin that accepts everything..."

"Have a little confidence in the person you like, alright!"

Ash stopped after complaining a couple of times, but he neither initiated a conversation nor left, just sat on a nearby rock watching Sonia. Perhaps because of the supervision, Sonia sped up her work, focusing on adjusting the environmental parameters of the two domains, and after about an hour, new varieties of weeds and shrubs gradually sprouted at the edges of the two domains.

During the entire process, Ash did not speak, he just sat with his chin propped up looking at Sonia, as if he could watch her for a lifetime.

"It’s almost lunchtime." Sonia finally stopped, her voice cheerful, "Let’s go back."

"Hmm."

"What’s up?" She walked over and bent down to look at Ash, blinking, "Do you need something from me?"

Ash glanced at her, thought for a moment, then fished out a pack of cigarettes from the Space Ring, knocking out two and handing one to her.

"This is...?"

"Death Mad’s cigarettes." Ash said, "When I fused with them, she particularly used my body to smoke once, saying it’s her favorite taste, you should like it too."

Sonia was about to light her cigarette when she saw the flame ignite at Ash’s fingertips skillfully coming over, revealing that he often lights cigarettes for Death Mad. But Ash didn’t light his own, instead bit onto a cigarette and leaned over, lighting his cigarette with Sonia’s, the smoke crackling like a kiss through the smoke.

The two of them began to cloud the air, and Ash asked, "How is it?"

"Very pleasant." Sonia said softly, "It’s indeed my type."

"But I won’t give it to you, only on special occasions will you be allowed to smoke one, I don’t like kissing with the smell of smoke lingering."

Sonia glanced at him, turned her head and said, "We should head back."

"Aren’t you going to ask why it’s a special occasion now?"

"Not really, I’m a bit hungry."

"Then you go back to eat first, I’ll just sit here." Ash said quietly, "I’ll stay until you’re willing to talk to me."

Sonia tilted her head, "Why are you suddenly throwing a tantrum?"

"Am I the one throwing a tantrum?" Ash watched as the cigarette butt released smoke that wriggled like a snake, "Yesterday, I thought you were acting weird because you were jealous of Freyja, I didn’t expect you to be so excessive this morning—"

Sonia spread her hands, "This time it’s my fault, okay? I’ll be more careful next time, letting the Witch move over once she reverts to her girl form, didn’t expect you’d be so mad—"

"I’m not talking about being excessive towards me, but towards yourself!"

Ash stood up and looked at Sonia, showing rare anger on his face, "Even if I can’t figure out what you’re thinking, even I know how uncomfortable it is to move another woman into your lover’s bed! Even if she’s your best friend, even if I’m your favorite lover!"

"Why are you tormenting yourself?" Ash was very puzzled, "What did I do wrong that you come to torment me, why torture yourself?"

"You misunderstood." Sonia said helplessly, "I just thought that in the morning you’d be idle anyway, and since I’m not using you, I’d let the Witch take over, to maximize your usefulness. There’s no need to make a fuss about it, you’re exaggerating."

"Really?"

"Really, it’s just that simple," Sonia spread her hands, "you are just a trophy we share, the atmosphere adjuster for the team, and along the way, who knows how many times we’ve messed around together, how could I have mood swings over such a small matter? I’ve gotten used to much more exaggerated things than this."

Ash looked at her seriously for a moment, then slowly nodded, "Alright then."

"Let’s go back to eat—"

"I’ll go back and tell them that this month is your turn, this month I’m sticking to you." Ash said, "Even though I don’t know what you’re really thinking, if you insist that I be with them, then I’ll just do the opposite."

Ash was about to take off when his sleeve was caught, turning back, he saw Sonia looking at him with a complex expression, seeming resentful, sorrowful, touched, and joyous, with emotion rolling in her ruby eyes that he couldn’t understand.

"What exactly do you want to do?" she asked softly.

"Isn’t it obvious? I’m different from you, I’m a Mage’s Handbook that’s easy to understand." Ash said calmly, "I just don’t want to see you torturing yourself."

"Stop it..." she sighed.

"What?"

"I said stop it!"

Sonia suddenly grabbed Ash by the collar, pulling him close, with tears welling in her eyes, "I’m willing to help you with your harem, what more do you want? Why only now do you start caring about my feelings? Why do you always go against me every time I make a decision? Why do you always have to be so... so..."

As she spoke, tears streamed down her face, she released him and staggered backward, covering her face with her hands, speaking with a choked voice, "Sorry, I... I seem to have... messed it up... only a day and already..."

Ash was stunned by Sonia’s sudden outburst, watched her retreat, instinctively reached out to catch her, but grasped nothing. Sonia used the Heavenly Phase to instantly teleport to another place, leaving behind only a bewildered Lalayfairy.

He looked at his hands, muttering to himself, "What did I do wrong?"

Lurking behind observing the scene, Diya immediately answered, "Didn’t provide the wake-up service."

Vishi followed suit, "Breathing."

"I’ll make it clear beforehand," Weiser said, "until you make up with the Sword Maiden, we won’t dare get close to you."

PS: Is there a double monthly ticket... since that’s the case, why not... (hinting).
