Surya Lok...

Meanwhile, far away from Bhulok, in Surya Lok, Surya Dev was seated in his chamber while a senior astrologer sat before him with several charts spread across the floor.

The astrologer had been carefully studying the movements of the stars and planets, trying to determine the most auspicious time for the Swayamvara of Goddess Yami.

Surya Dev had already made up his mind about one thing.

Devara had to be invited.

He had given Yami his word that he would personally make sure she had the opportunity to marry the man she had chosen, and Surya Dev had no intention of going back on that promise.

Devara had already become someone he trusted, and if Yami’s heart had chosen him, then Surya Dev was willing to welcome him into their family.

"Have you found an auspicious time?"

Surya Dev finally asked.

The astrologer didn’t answer immediately.

His fingers slowly moved across the calculations again.

Then he frowned.

He checked the planetary positions one more time.

Something wasn’t adding up.

He rearranged several of the charts and began calculating again, this time much more carefully.

Surya Dev watched him in silence, but the longer the astrologer worked, the more concerned his expression became.

"What is it?"

Surya Dev asked looking at the troubled look on the astrologer’s face before him.

The astrologer raised his hand slightly, asking him to wait.

Another calculation.

Another glance toward the celestial charts.

Then he suddenly stopped.

His face had gone pale.

Surya Dev immediately noticed.

"You found something."

The astrologer slowly looked up.

"Deva..."

"What?"

"I believe the Swayamvara cannot be delayed."

Surya Dev frowned hearing it.

"Why?"

The astrologer pointed toward the planetary positions.

"I initially thought this was simply an unusual alignment. But after recalculating it several times, I reached the same conclusion."

His voice became serious.

"A great danger is approaching Surya Lok."

Surya Dev’s expression hardened.

"What kind of danger?"

"I cannot say exactly what form it will take. The stars are not revealing that much. But the indications are extremely unfavourable. Something is moving toward Surya Lok, and when it arrives, the entire realm may be placed in danger."

Surya Dev stared at the charts.

"And what does this have to do with Yami?"

The astrologer took a slow breath.

"Everything."

He looked directly at Surya Dev.

"Her marriage must take place before that danger arrives. The sooner the Swayamvara is conducted, the better."

Surya Dev’s expression became troubled.

"You are telling me to hurry my daughter’s marriage because you believe something is coming?"

"I am telling you that the stars are giving us a warning."

The astrologer lowered his voice.

"If Yami remains unmarried when that danger reaches Surya Lok, the consequences could be far worse. Her presence, her destiny and the bond she is meant to form may be connected to the protection of this realm."

Surya Dev remained silent.

The astrologer gathered the charts carefully.

"If you want to protect Surya Lok and your daughter, you must complete the marriage as soon as possible."

Surya Dev slowly leaned back.

His thoughts immediately went toward the promise he had made to Yami.

He had promised her that he would arrange her Swayamvara.

He had promised that Devara would be invited.

Now, according to the astrologer’s calculations, there was no time to delay.

Surya Dev finally nodded.

"Then we will not delay it."

The astrologer looked relieved.

"I will determine the earliest auspicious moment."

Surya Dev stood.

"And send the invitation to Devara immediately."

His voice carried a firm determination.

"If fate itself is pushing my daughter toward her marriage, then I will not stand in its way."

He looked toward the glowing expanse of Surya Lok beyond the chamber.

"Whatever danger is coming, we will be ready for it."

But neither Surya Dev nor the astrologer yet knew just how close that danger truly was.

While Surya Dev was still looking at the astrological charts, Goddess Chaya and Goddess Sandhya, who had been listening to the conversation, exchanged a worried glance before turning toward the astrologer.

Chaya was the first to speak.

"You said a great danger is approaching Surya Lok. Can you at least tell us what kind of danger it is?"

The astrologer looked down at the charts again, as though hoping that another calculation might reveal something he had missed. He slowly shook his head.

"I am afraid I cannot."

Sandhya frowned.

"You cannot see anything at all?"

"I can see the signs of danger,"

the astrologer explained,

"and I can see that the planetary movements are pointing toward something that could affect the entire realm. But whenever I try to look beyond that point, everything becomes unclear."

He moved his finger across one of the charts.

"It is almost as though something is standing between my sight and whatever is coming. I have recalculated the positions several times, and every calculation leads me to the same conclusion, but none of them reveal the nature of the threat."

Chaya’s expression became more concerned.

"Then how are we supposed to prepare for something when we don’t even know what we are preparing for?"

The astrologer sighed.

"That is precisely why I would not recommend relying on my calculations alone."

Sandhya looked toward Surya Dev.

"Then who can tell us?"

The astrologer hesitated before answering.

"If you truly want to know what awaits Surya Lok, you should seek the guidance of one of the Trimurties."

The chamber became quiet.

"Mahadev, Lord Vishnu or Brahma Dev?"

Chaya asked in shock.

The astrologer nodded.

"Any one of them may be able to see what is hidden from me. Their vision extends far beyond what an ordinary astrologer can perceive. If even they cannot reveal the answer, then whatever is approaching may be something that has not yet been decided by fate itself."

Surya Dev looked toward the celestial charts once more.

"Then we will ask."

His expression had become serious.

"But until we receive an answer, the Swayamvara will go ahead."

The astrologer nodded.

"And the invitation to Devara should be sent without delay."

Surya Dev gave a firm nod.

"Prepare it."

Chaya and Sandhya exchanged another worried glance.

The Swayamvara that had once been planned simply as the beginning of Yami’s new life had suddenly become something far more important.

Now, somewhere beyond their sight, an unknown threat was moving toward Surya Lok.

And they had no idea whether it was coming for the realm itself, for Yami, or for someone connected to both.

Meanwhile, Goddess Yami had been standing quietly nearby, listening to the conversation between her parents and the astrologer.

However, most of what the astrologer had said about the approaching danger had gone completely past her.

The only part that had managed to capture her attention was his insistence that her marriage should take place as soon as possible.

More importantly, he had agreed that the marriage with Devara should not be delayed.

The thought alone was enough to make her cheeks turn a faint shade of pink.

She lowered her eyes, trying to hide the smile that had appeared on her face.

Her parents were discussing a possible danger to the entire Surya Lok, yet somehow Yami’s thoughts had already wandered toward the possibility of finally being with the man she had chosen.

She quietly clasped her hands together.

"Devara..."

A small smile appeared again.

Chaya noticed her daughter’s expression and immediately understood what was going through her mind. She couldn’t help smiling herself.

Surya Dev, however, noticed it too.

His expression became complicated.

He knew exactly how strongly Yami felt about Devara, and after hearing the astrologer’s warning, he was no longer sure whether the timing of all this was merely coincidence.

Before he could say anything, a strange sound suddenly echoed through Surya Lok.

"CAW!"

The cry of a crow travelled across the celestial realm.

Then it came again.

"CAW!"

The sound seemed to carry much farther than an ordinary crow’s call should have been able to, spreading across the golden halls and courtyards of Surya Lok until everyone present could hear it.

Yami looked up curiously.

Chaya’s expression, however, immediately brightened.

Surya Dev’s face went in the opposite direction.

He sighed.

There was only one person who could arrive with such an unmistakable announcement.

His second son.

Lord Shani.

Chaya’s smile grew wider.

"He has come."

Surya Dev rubbed his forehead.

"Of course he has."

Yami looked between her parents.

"Why does Father look worried?"

Chaya tried to suppress her laughter.

"Because your brother has a talent for arriving at precisely the moment when your father has the most things on his mind."

Another crow call echoed through the realm.

"CAW!"

Surya Dev closed his eyes for a moment.

"I heard you the first time."

Chaya laughed softly.

Yami couldn’t help giggling as well.

The astrologer quietly gathered his charts, wisely deciding that whatever conversation was about to happen between Surya Dev and his son was probably not something he wanted to stand directly in the middle of.

Surya Dev looked toward the entrance of the celestial palace.

"Shani has arrived."

His tone carried a mixture of affection, resignation and the faintest hint of a headache.

And judging from Chaya’s delighted expression, she was looking forward to the arrival considerably more than he was.
