Devara then gave a short whistle.

A deep celestial rumble immediately echoed across the entrance of Trivenivrata.

The ground beneath them seemed to tremble as brilliant golden light gathered before the royal procession.

From within that radiance emerged the Vajravyaghra Rath, its magnificent divine chariot appearing as though it had been forged from celestial metal and lightning itself.

Its ornate structure gleamed beneath the sunlight, while the four enormous divine sabertooth tigers pulling it emerged alongside it, their powerful bodies covered in radiant fur and their massive fangs clearly visible.

The four beasts stood proudly before their king.

Their paws struck the ground with enough force to make the nearby stones tremble, and their eyes swept across the gathering with the alertness of creatures that were both guardians and warriors.

The crowd immediately became quieter.

They had seen the Vajravyaghra Rath before, but its arrival never failed to command attention.

Devara walked toward the chariot, with Yami beside him.

As they approached, the royal guards stationed around the entrance immediately lowered their weapons and bowed.

"Welcome home, Maharaja."

Others throughout the road followed.

One by one, the guards and officials bowed as Devara passed.

Yami noticed the remarkable discipline of the soldiers.

Despite the enormous crowd surrounding them, nobody pushed forward or attempted to cross the ceremonial path.

The moment the Vajravyaghra Rath appeared, the royal guards began moving into position.

Several lines of soldiers formed along both sides of the road.

They stood shoulder to shoulder, creating a wide protective corridor through which the chariot could pass.

Their weapons remained lowered, but their posture was firm as they carefully maintained the space between the royal procession and the excited citizens.

The people understood immediately.

Their king had returned.

And they were going to give him a proper welcome without allowing their excitement to become disorder.

As Devara reached the Rath, one of the enormous sabertooths lowered its head toward him.

Devara reached out and gently touched the creature’s forehead.

"Good to see you too."

The beast gave a deep rumble that sounded almost like a greeting.

Yami smiled at the sight.

"You speak to them as though they are ordinary horses."

Devara glanced at her.

"They would be offended if I compared them to horses."

Yami covered her smile with her hand.

"Then I shall be careful."

Devara extended his hand toward her.

"Come."

Yami placed her hand in his, and he helped her into the Vajravyaghra Rath before climbing aboard himself.

The four divine sabertooths lowered themselves slightly.

Then, at Devara’s signal, they began moving.

The Vajravyaghra Rath rolled forward through the grand entrance of Trivenivrata.

The people erupted into cheers once again.

Flowers were thrown from balconies and rooftops, petals filling the air as the chariot passed.

Children waved excitedly while elders bowed their heads in respect.

The royal guards continued walking along both sides, maintaining the protective line and ensuring that the crowd remained safely behind them.

Devara sat beside Yami, occasionally raising his hand toward the citizens in acknowledgement.

Yami watched the people of Trivenivrata with growing wonder.

These were not merely subjects welcoming their king.

They were welcoming the woman he had brought home with him.

And as the Vajravyaghra Rath proceeded deeper into the decorated capital, Yami began to realize that her new life in Devara’s kingdom had already begun.

The Vajravyaghra Rath finally made its way through the decorated avenues of Trivenivrata and arrived before the grand entrance of the royal palace.

The moment the four divine sabertooths slowed their pace and came to a halt, Devara could see that his entire family had already gathered to welcome him.

His mothers, Ganga and Bhudevi, stood near the palace entrance with proud smiles upon their faces.

Parvati was there as well, accompanied by Shiva, while Lakshmi and Saraswati stood nearby with Vishnu and Brahma.

His wives had gathered together at the front, and among them stood Gandhari, whose pregnancy had only made the excitement of seeing her husband return even greater.

Around them were relatives, ministers, attendants and other members of the royal household, all waiting eagerly for the king and his new bride.

Devara looked at the gathering and smiled as he murmured.

"So this is why everyone was so suspiciously quiet when I left,"

Yami looked at him with amusement.

"You expected them to let you return peacefully?"

"Apparently I was foolish enough to hope."

The four sabertooths stopped completely.

Devara descended first and then turned toward Yami, offering his hand.

She placed her hand in his and stepped down from the Rath.

The moment they stood together before the palace, the women of Devara’s household came forward.

Gandhari was among them.

Despite being pregnant, she insisted on being part of the welcome.

Along with Devara’s other wives, she carried the ceremonial plate for the aarti.

The lamps flickered brightly as the women circled them around Devara and Yami, welcoming the newly arrived bride into their family.

Yami stood beside Devara with a slightly nervous smile.

She had faced Kandarpaasura without surrendering her choice, had crossed realms and had entered Devara’s kingdom surrounded by thousands of people, yet somehow this simple moment made her heart beat faster.

Gandhari noticed her nervousness.

"Do not worry,"

She said warmly.

"You are among family now."

Yami looked at her and smiled.

"Thank you."

Gandhari then looked toward Devara with a playful expression.

"And you. Do not just stand there looking proud. You have brought us another bride, so you had better behave yourself."

Devara blinked.

"Why am I suddenly being warned?"

Several of his wives laughed.

"Because we know you,"

One of them replied.

Devara could only shake his head as the aarti continued.

Once the ceremony was complete, the women surrounded Yami.

"Come with us."

Yami looked toward Devara.

He smiled and nodded.

"Go with them. I will see you soon."

Yami allowed herself to be led away, with his wives eagerly surrounding her and beginning to introduce themselves properly.

Gandhari remained particularly close to her, making sure Yami felt comfortable rather than overwhelmed by the enormous royal household.

Devara watched them disappear into the palace before turning toward his own family.

His mothers immediately approached him.

Bhudevi looked him over from head to toe.

"You are going to get ready now."

Devara sighed.

"I just arrived."

Ganga smiled hearing her son.

"Exactly. Which means you have no excuse for delaying."

Parvati laughed softly who suddenly arrived.

"Your wedding guests will soon begin arriving. You should be ready before the palace becomes completely crowded."

Devara glanced toward the enormous gathering outside.

"How many people are coming?"

Shiva gave him a knowing look Devara can’t even think when did he too arrived..

"Enough that asking that question is already pointless."

Devara sighed again.

He had fought rakshasas, crossed impossible realms, survived divine beasts and defeated Kandarpaasura.

Yet somehow, the preparations for his own wedding seemed capable of intimidating him more than any battlefield.

"I suppose I should get ready."

"That would be wise,"

Vishnu said with a smile as he placed a hand on his shoulders with a smile he too appeared out of know where.

Devara turned toward the palace while his family continued laughing behind him.

The celebrations were only beginning.

Soon the gods would arrive.

Yami’s family would arrive from Surya Lok.

Other divine guests and kings would gather in Trivenivrata.

And within the palace, two brides would soon be preparing to begin a new Chapter of their lives with him.

For now, however, Devara had one task.

He needed to get ready for his wedding.

Meanwhile, another competition had already begun inside the royal palace.

The Pandavas and Kauravas had gathered together, and somehow the upcoming wedding had turned into yet another contest between the two groups.

This time, however, the competition was not about archery, strength or who could finish their meal first.

They were competing over something much more important in their eyes.

Who could give Devara the best wedding gift?

There was only one condition.

The gift had to be obtained through their own efforts.

They were not allowed to simply walk into a shop, hand over gold and purchase something expensive.

Whatever they gave Devara had to be something they had personally found, earned, created or accomplished.

The more difficult the effort behind the gift, the more meaningful they believed it would be.

Suyodhana folded his arms confidently as he looked at the Pandavas.

"I will find my gift first."

Bhima immediately laughed.

"You? You will probably find a mountain and decide to give him the whole thing."

"At least I will find something worthy of a king,"

Suyodhana replied.

Arjuna raised an eyebrow.

"And how exactly are you planning to find it?"

"That,"

Suyodhana said with a grin,

"is none of your concern."

Nakula smiled.

"It sounds like you don’t have a plan."

"I have a plan."

"Which is?"

Suyodhana paused.

"I am still deciding the details."

Sahadeva quietly laughed.

The other Kauravas soon joined in, while the Pandavas began discussing their own possibilities.

Yudhishthira reminded everyone that the gift did not necessarily have to be expensive.

"King Devara has never cared much about the value of something, If we are doing this, we should find something that actually means something to him."

"Exactly,"

Arjuna agreed with his big brother.

"If we simply bring him something made of gold, he will probably ask why we wasted our time."

Bhima scratched his chin.

"Then we need something that took effort."

"Something that cannot simply be bought,"

Nakula added with a thoughtful expression.

"And something he would actually use,"

Sahadeva gave his suggestion.

The conversation quickly became more serious.

The children began throwing around possibilities.

One suggested finding an unusual weapon.

Another proposed bringing back a rare celestial fruit.

Someone else suggested finding an animal that could be raised within the royal stables.

Every suggestion immediately led to another argument.

"No weapons."

"Why not?"

"Because Devara already has enough weapons to arm an army."

"Then a rare horse."

"He already has those divine sabertooths."

"Then a jewel."

"He has enough jewels."

"Food?"

Bhima immediately looked interested.

Everyone stared at him.

"What?"

He asked innocently.

"A good meal is still a good gift."

The room erupted into laughter.

Even Yudhishthira could not stop himself from smiling.

Eventually, Arjuna stood up.

"Enough. We should split up. Whoever finds something first wins."

Suyodhana immediately rose as well.

"Agreed."

The others followed.

Within moments, the palace corridors became filled with energetic young princes heading in different directions, each determined to return with something that would make Devara remember their gift above everyone else’s.

None of them knew exactly what they were looking for yet.

But that almost made the challenge more exciting.

They would have to explore the kingdom themselves, search forests, rivers, workshops and perhaps even the surrounding lands.

Whatever they found had to come from their own effort.

And somewhere nearby, Devara was preparing for his wedding completely unaware that his young relatives had turned his wedding gifts into a full-scale competition.

If he had known, he probably would have laughed.

But for the Pandavas and Kauravas, the challenge was now very serious.

The race had begun.
