The Pushpaka Vimana continued its graceful journey through the vast expanse between the realms, passing through shimmering celestial pathways where the boundaries between worlds seemed almost nonexistent.

From the open sides of the Vimana, countless sights unfolded before them.

Some realms were covered in endless forests whose trees reached toward the heavens, while others were filled with vast oceans reflecting the light of distant stars.

Mountains floated above clouds, rivers of luminous water wound through strange landscapes, and countless beings moved about within their own little corners of creation, completely unaware of the divine journey passing high above them.

Devara and Yami stood together near the edge of the Vimana, watching everything in comfortable silence.

Neither seemed to feel any need to fill the quiet with unnecessary words.

Yami eventually leaned her head against Devara’s shoulder, and Devara remained perfectly still so she could rest comfortably.

The gentle movement of the Vimana caused her hair to sway in the celestial breeze, occasionally brushing against his arm.

For a while, Devara simply looked ahead.

Then, after a few moments, he glanced down at her.

"Yami."

"Hmm?"

"Are you angry with me?"

Yami lifted her head slightly and looked at him with a puzzled expression.

"Why would I be angry with you?"

Devara hesitated for a moment before looking toward the scenery again.

"Because I am going to marry you... and another woman at the same time."

The moment he said it, Yami’s expression changed.

Her eyes narrowed and then her lips slowly pushed into a pout.

Devara noticed it immediately as he muttered.

"I see,"

Before he could say anything else, Yami reached out and pinched his arm.

It was barely painful.

Devara looked down at her fingers.

Then he dramatically recoiled.

"Ow!"

Yami blinked looking at his reaction.

Devara clutched his arm as though she had just struck him with a divine weapon.

"That hurt."

Yami stared at him.

"I barely pinched you."

"It was devastating blow coming from a goddess."

She narrowed her eyes further.

"You are pretending."

"I would never."

Yami gave him another small pinch.

Devara immediately winced even more dramatically.

"Yami!"

She finally laughed, unable to maintain her serious expression.

"You are impossible."

"That is what everyone keeps telling me."

Yami shook her head, but the smile remained on her face. She then looked forward again, her expression becoming a little softer.

"What can I do?"

She said quietly.

Devara turned toward her.

Yami folded her hands together as she continued, her voice carrying a mixture of embarrassment and affection.

"I fell in love with someone who seems to have a strange habit of stealing women’s hearts wherever he goes. What was I supposed to do after my heart had already been stolen by him?"

Devara’s eyebrows rose slightly.

"I don’t remember stealing yours."

Yami looked at him.

"You did it. Don’t deny it?"

"When?"

"Years ago."

Her answer came so simply that Devara became quiet.

Yami smiled faintly as she leaned her head back against his shoulder as she whispered.

"That is the worst part, It is easy enough to love someone when he is standing beside you. But watching someone you love from a distance is much harder."

Devara listened without interrupting.

"I had already given you my heart long before you even knew it,"

Yami continued to tell him.

"So when I saw you again, when I realized the man I had fallen for was standing before me, what exactly was I supposed to do? Tell my heart to take itself back?"

She gave a small laugh.

"It had already made its decision."

Devara looked down at her, his expression becoming warm.

"So you aren’t angry?"

Yami lifted her head and looked directly into his eyes.

"I am a little angry."

Devara immediately looked concerned.

"Because of Indhumati?"

Yami shook her head.

"Because you made me wait so long."

Devara stared at her for a moment before a smile slowly appeared on his face.

Yami rested her head against his shoulder again.

"But I am not angry that you are marrying her,"

She added softly.

"If she loves you and you love her, then I cannot resent her for becoming part of your life. I only wish..."

She paused, her voice becoming quieter.

"I only wish I had been brave enough to tell you what was in my heart earlier."

Devara gently placed his hand over hers.

"You don’t have to wish for that anymore."

Yami looked at their hands and smiled.

"I know."

The Vimana continued onward through the celestial realms, carrying them toward Bhulok.

And for the first time since leaving Surya Lok, Yami no longer felt as though she was merely travelling to Bhulok.

She was travelling toward home.

The home of the man whose heart she had fallen for years ago, long before he ever realized that he had already stolen hers.

The Pushpaka Vimana eventually descended from the celestial pathways and entered Bhulok, leaving behind the shimmering boundaries of the higher realms as the familiar world unfolded beneath them.

Devara stood beside Yami near the front of the Vimana, watching the landscape slowly transform from the strange and magnificent sights of the celestial realms into the lands he knew as his own.

And then Trivenivrata came into view.

The capital of Devara’s kingdom looked completely different from the last time he had seen it.

The entire city had been transformed into a celebration.

From the massive gates at the entrance to the palace at the heart of the kingdom, colorful banners and silk cloths had been hung across the streets.

Garlands of fresh flowers decorated the pillars, balconies and gateways, while rows of lamps had been arranged along the roads in anticipation of the celebrations that would soon begin.

Fragrant flowers had been scattered across the streets, and the sound of musicians rehearsing could already be heard from within the city.

The people of Trivenivrata had been preparing from the moment their king had departed for Surya Lok.

Everyone knew why Devara had left.

He had gone to attend Yami’s Swayamvara.

And everyone knew that he had not travelled there merely as another guest.

Their king had gone to seek the hand of Surya Dev’s daughter.

Now the entire kingdom was waiting to see whether he would return with his bride.

As the Pushpaka Vimana approached the entrance, thousands of citizens gathered outside the magnificent gates.

Farmers had travelled from distant villages, merchants had closed their shops for the day, craftsmen had left their workshops and families had brought their children simply to witness their king’s return.

The moment someone spotted the approaching celestial Vimana in the sky, a cry went through the crowd.

"They are coming!"

The waiting crowd immediately erupted into excitement.

Drums began beating.

Conches sounded.

Musicians raised their instruments.

Flower petals were gathered into baskets, ready to be thrown the moment Devara descended.

The guards stationed at the gates straightened proudly as the Pushpaka Vimana slowly descended toward the ceremonial entrance.

Even the great elephants decorated for the occasion raised their trunks and sounded loud trumpets as though they too understood that their king had returned.

Inside the Vimana, Yami watched the enormous gathering with widened eyes.

"So many people..."

Devara smiled.

"They have been waiting. For us,"

Yami looked at him.

"For us?"

Devara nodded with a smile.

"They have known since I left that I was going to the Swayamvara. They have probably been wondering ever since whether I would return alone."

Yami’s cheeks immediately became warm.

"And now they know."

The Vimana touched down gracefully at the entrance of Trivenivrata.

The doors opened.

Devara stepped forward first.

The instant the people saw their king, an enormous cheer erupted across the city.

"MAHARAJA DEVVARA!"

The sound rolled through the streets like thunder.

Devara smiled and raised one hand in greeting.

Then he stepped aside.

Yami appeared beside him.

The reaction from the people was immediate.

Another wave of cheers swept through the crowd, this time mixed with joyful cries as everyone understood exactly what they were seeing.

Their king had returned from the Swayamvara.

And he had not returned alone.

Devara looked across the decorated streets of Trivenivrata and shook his head with an affectionate smile.

"They really did prepare all of this."

Devara looked toward Yami.

The drums grew louder.

Flowers began raining down from the balconies.

And as Devara and Yami walked together through the grand entrance of Trivenivrata, the entire kingdom celebrated the return of their king and the arrival of the woman who would soon become their queen.

After allowing the people to celebrate their return for a while, Devara looked toward the magnificent Pushpaka Vimana and realized that keeping it within the crowded streets of Trivenivrata would hardly be practical.

The enormous celestial craft had been perfect for travelling between realms, but navigating it through the decorated avenues of his capital would only create unnecessary chaos.

With a simple gesture of his hand, Devara summoned the divine energy surrounding the Vimana, and the Pushpaka began shrinking into a brilliant point of golden light before disappearing completely from sight.
