Everyone around Lord Suriya knew exactly what he meant.

Yami had always held a special place in her father’s heart. Surya Dev had watched her grow beneath the brilliance of his own celestial realm, had doted upon her, protected her and treasured every moment she spent beside him.

To him, she would probably always be the little girl who once followed him around Surya Lok, whose presence could brighten even the radiant halls of his palace.

And now that little princess had chosen her husband.

Not merely some powerful deity from another celestial realm, but Devara, the king of Bhulok, a warrior whose life was deeply tied to the mortal world despite the extraordinary divine heritage flowing through his veins.

Chaya smiled as she looked at Surya Dev’s expression.

"You knew this day would come eventually."

Surya Dev gave her a sideways glance.

"Knowing something will happen and actually watching it happen are two very different things."

Sandhya laughed softly.

"Besides,"

Surya Dev continued, his voice becoming gentler,

"at least she chose someone she loves."

His gaze lingered upon the distant heavens.

That was the part that mattered.

Yami had not been forced into the Swayamvara.

She had not chosen Devara because of his strength, his kingdom or his divine lineage.

When darkness had descended upon Surya Lok and Kandarpaasura had threatened her, she had still refused to surrender her choice.

She had placed the garland around Devara’s neck because he was the man her heart had already chosen.

And now she was leaving her father’s palace not as a frightened daughter being sent away, but as a woman willingly going with the man she loved.

Surya Dev smiled at that thought as he muttered.

"At least, I can say that my daughter chose her own path."

Chaya smiled.

"And knowing Yami, she will make sure Devara understands exactly what he has gotten himself into."

A few of the gods nearby laughed.

Surya Dev chuckled again, his earlier melancholy finally giving way to genuine happiness.

"That, I have absolutely no doubt about."

Far above them, the Pushpaka Vimana continued its journey toward Bhulok, carrying Yami farther away from the home where she had spent her entire life and toward the kingdom where her new life would begin.

And although Surya Dev’s heart felt the ache of watching his beloved daughter leave, there was comfort in knowing one simple truth.

His little princess had not been lost.

She had simply found the man with whom she wanted to share the rest of her journey.

Meanwhile, back in the celestial gathering, two figures had already decided that there was absolutely no question of them remaining behind.

Goddess Bhudevi and Goddess Ganga had begun making their way toward Devara’s kingdom.

After all, how could either of them possibly stay away from their son’s wedding? The thought itself seemed absurd to them.

Devara might be a king, a warrior and a man whose name had already become known across the different realms, but to Bhudevi and Ganga he was still their son.

And when their son was about to be married, both mothers intended to be there for every moment of it.

In fact, neither of them was particularly surprised by the turn of events.

They had already known that Devara would soon be marrying not one, but two women.

Goddess Yami had chosen him during the Swayamvara, while Princess Indhumati’s marriage to Devara had already been decided.

The two weddings being celebrated together meant that Devara’s kingdom was about to become the center of one of the grandest gatherings the realms had witnessed.

Ganga smiled as she walked beside Bhudevi.

"We should reach the kingdom before the preparations become completely chaotic."

Bhudevi gave her a knowing look.

"You say that as though we are going there to prevent the chaos."

Ganga paused for a moment before smiling.

"Perhaps we should simply make sure it is properly organized chaos."

Both goddesses laughed as they continued their journey.

They knew their son well enough to understand that Devara himself would probably have very little interest in all the elaborate arrangements being made around him.

He would be more concerned about whether everyone had eaten, whether the guests had been properly welcomed and whether his brides were comfortable than about the magnificence of his own wedding.

That was precisely why his mothers wanted to be there.

While Bhudevi and Ganga departed, another corner of the gathering had become considerably more lively.

Goddess Parvati, Goddess Lakshmi and Goddess Saraswati were seated together, already discussing the upcoming wedding as though they had been planning it for weeks.

Parvati had a thoughtful expression upon her face as she considered everything that would need to be arranged.

Lakshmi, meanwhile, was already discussing what would make an appropriate wedding gift, while Saraswati listened and occasionally offered her own suggestions.

"We cannot simply give him something ordinary, He is our son. His wedding should have something worthy of the occasion."

Saraswati smiled sensing Lakshmi’s excitement.

"And knowing Devara, he will probably say that the gifts are unnecessary."

Parvati laughed softly.

"Of course he will. He has always been like that."

Lakshmi shook her head affectionately.

"Which is exactly why we should prepare the gifts without asking him."

Parvati’s eyes brightened at the thought.

"That settles it, then."

The three goddesses continued their discussion, moving from wedding gifts to decorations, ceremonies and the many things they wished to see at Devara’s kingdom.

Yet eventually, their conversation turned toward something else that had caught all three of their interest.

His wives.

"We should finally meet all of them properly,"

Lakshmi remarked thinking about the matter.

Saraswati nodded accepting her suggestion.

"Especially Gandhari."

Parvati’s expression immediately softened.

"Yes. Gandhari."

The three exchanged knowing looks.

But what particularly interested them now was the news that Gandhari was carrying Devara’s heir.

"She must be receiving plenty of attention from everyone already,"

Saraswati spoke with a gentle smile on her face.

"And she deserves it,"

Parvati letting out a chuckle.

"She is carrying our son’s child."

Lakshmi smiled.

"Then perhaps we should make sure she receives something special as well."

Parvati nodded.

"Definitely. And I want to meet his other wives too. If they are part of Devara’s family, then they are part of ours."

Saraswati smiled at the thought.

"It seems this wedding will give us quite an opportunity."

"An opportunity for what?" Lakshmi asked playfully.

"To meet the women who have somehow managed to keep up with Devara."

The three goddesses laughed.

Parvati shook her head, though there was unmistakable affection in her eyes.

"Knowing my son, he probably has no idea how many people are currently making plans around his wedding."

Lakshmi smiled.

"He will find out soon enough."

And somewhere far away, Devara was travelling toward his kingdom with Yami and her family, completely unaware that his mothers, divine aunts and several other members of his extraordinary family were already preparing to descend upon his palace.

His wedding had not even begun yet.

And already, the heavens were treating it as an event that absolutely nobody intended to miss.

Seeing their wives become excited all over again at the mention of Devara’s wedding, the three Trimurtis could not help but exchange amused glances.

It seemed that no matter how many battles Devara fought, how many realms he travelled through or how many divine crises surrounded him, the moment his name was connected with something as simple as a wedding, the goddesses became completely absorbed in it.

Brahma watched Saraswati animatedly discussing possible wedding gifts while Shiva looked toward Parvati, who was already imagining everything that needed to be arranged.

Both gods exchanged a knowing look before Shiva gave a quiet chuckle.

Vishnu, however, found his attention drawn toward Lakshmi.

She was still smiling as she listened to Parvati and Saraswati, occasionally joining their conversation, but Vishnu knew there was something deeper behind her excitement.

His gaze softened as he watched her.

Unlike Shiva and Parvati, and Brahma and Saraswati, Vishnu and Lakshmi had never had a child of their own.

There had been no little boy running through Vaikuntha’s halls, no young voice calling for his mother, no child whom Lakshmi could hold in her arms and watch grow through the years.

She had seen the children of the other divine couples and had always been happy for them, but somewhere within her there had remained a quiet emptiness that she rarely spoke about.

Then Devara had come into their lives.

From the moment he had become part of their family, something inside Lakshmi had changed.

She had found in him the joy she had never known as a mother.

She had been able to hold him, spoil him, listen to him, watch him learn and grow, and eventually watch the little boy she had once doted upon become the extraordinary man standing before the gods today.

And perhaps because that joy had arrived unexpectedly, Lakshmi had become fiercely attached to it.

Vishnu knew that better than anyone.

There were moments when Lakshmi would simply watch Devara from a distance, her expression softening as she remembered the child he had once been.

Sometimes she would speak about something he had done years ago, remembering tiny details that even Devara himself had probably forgotten.

She treasured every stage of his life, almost as though she were trying to preserve each memory somewhere beyond the reach of time.

Vishnu understood the reason.

Somewhere deep inside her was the quiet fear that one day Devara might disappear from her life, and with him would disappear the happiness she had found in being a mother.

Vishnu looked at her gently.

He knew she would never say it aloud.

Lakshmi was not someone who allowed fear to dominate her easily.

Yet whenever Devara faced danger, he had noticed how quickly her expression changed.

Whenever he disappeared into battle or travelled toward some uncertain realm, her eyes would follow him until he was completely out of sight.

And now, as she happily discussed his wedding, Vishnu could see that same attachment beneath her excitement.

Devara was growing older.

He was building his own family.

He was taking wives.

He was soon going to become a father himself.

Yet to Lakshmi, he would always remain the boy who had given her the chance to experience the love of motherhood.

Vishnu smiled gently and moved closer to her.

Lakshmi noticed him looking at her and raised an eyebrow.

"What?"

"Nothing,"

Vishnu replied with a soft smile. "

You simply look very happy."

"I am,"

she answered immediately.

"Our son is getting married."

The words came so naturally that Vishnu’s smile deepened.

"Our son,"

Lakshmi looked at him for a moment before smiling.

"Yes. Our son."

Vishnu gently placed his hand over hers.

There was no need for either of them to explain what those words meant.

Devara might not have been born from them, but that had never prevented Lakshmi from loving him as though he were her own child.

And Vishnu had long since accepted that whenever Devara was involved, Lakshmi’s heart would always have a special place reserved for him.

Across the gathering, Parvati suddenly called out,

"Lakshmi, come here! We still haven’t decided what we are giving Devara!"

Lakshmi immediately turned toward her.

"I am coming!"

Vishnu watched her hurry back toward the other goddesses and chuckled softly.

For all her divine wisdom and eternal grace, when it came to Devara, Lakshmi could still become the excited mother preparing for her son’s wedding.

And Vishnu knew he would not have it any other way.
