Subtle distortions appeared around their bodies as the space around them became unstable from their combined presence.
A breakthrough into the Master Rank would normally create a noticeable reaction, but 53 vessels were breaking through at the same time, making the reaction far stronger.
Their presence could already be sensed from a considerable distance, but no one came toward the corpse storage room. Almost everyone capable of responding was either fighting outside or moving toward the battlefield.
The humans were focused on stopping the demons, while the released demons were focused on killing their enemies and recovering their strength.
For now, Asher’s vessels had the time they needed.
As the surrounding mana continued flowing into their bodies, their auras gradually grew stronger.
Their breakthrough had officially begun.
At the Battle Site, In Front of the Rooms 1 to 8 Section
The door leading to that section had already been destroyed, and the two Grandmaster-rank guards who were always stationed there were now engaged in battle against the demons that had escaped from the rooms.
Many Master-rank guards had also reached the area shortly after the alarm went off, quickly joining the battle and attempting to contain the demons before they could escape further into the facility.
Right now, one of the Grandmaster-rank guards was fighting against the Grandmaster-rank Null Demon alone.
The man was wielding a massive greatsword nearly 1.5 meters in length, yet he handled it with ease as though it were an ordinary weapon.
The Grandmaster suddenly moved at an incredible speed that was almost impossible to follow with the naked eye.
With the greatsword firmly in his hands, he charged directly toward the Null Demon.
Within moments, he reached the demon and swung the greatsword with tremendous force.
The Null Demon responded immediately.
Instead of dodging, it raised one of its enormous hands and met the greatsword head-on with a powerful punch.
The difference in their sizes was enormous.
The Null Demon towered over the human Grandmaster, making the confrontation look almost like a battle between a child and an adult—with the human being the child.
BOOM!
The greatsword collided with the demon’s fist.
A powerful shockwave erupted from the point of impact, spreading through the surrounding area and forcing several nearby guards to retreat.
The human Grandmaster was pushed backward by the immense force of the collision, his feet sliding across the ground as he struggled to regain his balance.
The Null Demon, however, didn’t move even a single step.
The human Grandmaster finally came to a stop after being pushed back several meters.
His eyes immediately focused on the demon’s fist.
There wasn’t even a scratch.
Not a single sign of injury could be seen on the Null Demon’s hand.
Its skin was smooth and strangely reflective, almost like polished diamond, and the light from the surrounding magical formations reflected off its surface.
The Grandmaster’s expression became serious.
He had already expected the Null Demon to possess incredible physical strength, but seeing his full-powered attack fail to leave even the slightest mark was still surprising.
The Null Demon simply lowered its fist and looked toward the human Grandmaster.
Its expression remained difficult to read, but its enormous body radiated an overwhelming sense of physical power.
The fight was taking place inside the narrow section of the facility, where the walls and floor were constantly being damaged by the powerful attacks. The human Grandmaster couldn’t use his full strength freely, as a careless attack could destroy the surrounding structure and trap everyone inside.
The man raised his hand, and a brilliant light-element aura gathered around his body.
Several sharp beams of light suddenly shot forward toward the two demons.
The Ironhide Demon raised its massive arms to block the attack, while the Lava Golem stepped forward and allowed the beams to strike its enormous body.
BOOM!
The light exploded against them.
The Ironhide Demon was pushed backward, leaving deep marks on the floor beneath its feet, while several glowing wounds appeared across its metal-like body.
However, the wounds began slowly closing.
The Lava Golem was affected differently.
The light burned through parts of its molten body, causing chunks of hardened lava to break away and fall to the ground. Yet the demon simply absorbed the heat around it, causing its body to glow brighter as the damaged areas began reforming.
The Grandmaster frowned.
These demons were extremely annoying to kill, even though he was one rank above them. He couldn’t even use his full strength because of the danger of destroying everything around him, and damaging something in the facility that wasn’t supposed to be destroyed would create a much bigger problem.
He immediately raised both hands, and a massive sphere of light formed between his palms, illuminating the entire corridor. The two demons sensed the danger and quickly moved. The Ironhide Demon charged forward while the Lava Golem raised both of its enormous arms. The Grandmaster released the attack, sending a powerful wave of light through the enclosed area.
The Ironhide Demon was struck directly and slammed into the wall, while the Lava Golem’s body was partially torn apart by the concentrated light. Yet neither demon fell. The Ironhide Demon slowly stood back up, its body covered in cracks, but it was still capable of fighting. It then grabbed some of the metal around it and swallowed it, and within moments, the damage on its body began healing again.
The Grandmaster fighting the Null Demon then said in a hurried tone, "Alan, how much more time do you need to kill those two Master-rank demons? Finish them quickly and come here to help me deal with this demon!"
Before he could say anything further, the Null Demon suddenly appeared directly in front of him and threw a powerful punch toward his face.
The man reacted quickly, raising his giant sword to block the attack.
BOOM!
The Null Demon’s fist collided with the greatsword, and the immense force sent the Grandmaster flying backward.
His body crashed into the wall, causing the surrounding structure to shake from the impact.
