Maybe I really am a Villian

Chapter 228: Unexpected Guest 6

The man immediately answered, "Just six minutes and forty-three seconds ago, Sir. She should reach the facility in another ten minutes."

Solarius stared at him for a moment before silently cursing inwardly.

’She’ll reach there in five minutes, not ten. Just what did that woman even come here for when she hardly ever leaves her house?’

He frowned slightly.

’Whatever it is, I’ll think about it later. First, I have to stop her. Otherwise, it will be a pain in the ass listening to her talk about morality again.’

Solarius then turned toward the man and said in a commanding tone, "Tell the Grandmasters stationed there to hold Cassie for as long as they can. Don’t let her see anything she shouldn’t. If her motherly instincts are triggered, she’ll make a complete mess of everything."

He paused briefly before continuing, "I’m going there myself now."

The man immediately nodded and tried to send a message to Klein.

However, the moment he attempted to establish communication, his expression suddenly became blank.

Solarius immediately noticed the change.

His eyes narrowed as he asked, "What happened?"

The man remained completely still for a moment. His face was blank, but his body began trembling slightly.

Then, in a trembling voice that sounded strangely emotionless, he answered,"All the Grandmasters stationed there are already dead."

As soon as Solarius heard this, his expression changed. Without saying another word, he simply vanished from his position. Not a single trace of his presence remained in the office, as if he had never been there in the first place.

The man looked toward the place where Solarius had been standing a moment ago. He remained silent for several seconds before finally muttering to himself, "I’m going to die for sure today. Should I leave this continent? It’s pointless, I’ll still be found out. I should just enjoy the last few hours of my life, I guess."

Meanwhile, Solarius was already outside the Church Headquarters. His body had transformed into a beam of light, moving through the sky at an incredible speed that most people wouldn’t even be able to see.

As he continued moving toward the facility, Solarius muttered in frustration, "Why has everything been going wrong for the last few months? Just what happened there? At least the demons shouldn’t be able to escape from there since she will reach the facility soon."

However, Solarius still had a bad feeling about the entire situation.

Meanwhile, Cassie was already approaching the location of the Demon Facility.

She had originally come to the Church Headquarters to discuss the vision she had received with Solarius. She also wanted to send a team to the Demon Continent to investigate whether the demons were planning something.

However, as soon as she heard about the Demon Facility from the Master-rank member, she immediately developed a bad feeling about whatever was happening there.

She increased her speed and soon reached the location the man had given her.

The facility was located deep inside a forest, far away from human civilization. There were no nearby towns or settlements, making the area extremely isolated.Cassie slowly stopped in the air and looked toward the forest below.

She could immediately sense the presence of a powerful barrier surrounding the facility.

Her expression became slightly serious."So this is the place."

Without wasting any more time, Cassie gathered Light Element mana around her body and raised her hand toward the barrier.

A powerful concentration of Light Element mana formed in front of her.

She then fired the attack directly toward the barrier, intending to destroy it and enter the facility as quickly as possible.

As soon as Cassie destroyed the barrier, she immediately sensed the presence of everyone still alive inside the facility. Her expression changed slightly when she recognized a familiar presence. She then muttered in confusion, "Ravena? She’s here? Wasn’t she killed by Edward in the last war? And where are the others?"

Before Cassie could think any further, she suddenly sensed another presence beside Ravena. The moment she felt it, her instincts immediately reacted. Something about that presence felt completely wrong. Her instincts screamed at her to kill whatever it was before it could do anything.

Cassie didn’t hesitate. She immediately gathered a large amount of Light Element mana and launched an attack toward the location where all the presences had gathered. The powerful attack tore through the ground as it moved forward, destroying everything in its path as it rapidly approached its target.

The attack was just about to hit when a massive barrier made of blood suddenly appeared in front of it. The Light Element attack slammed directly into the blood barrier with tremendous force. However, Cassie could immediately tell that the barrier wouldn’t be able to withstand her attack for very long.

BOOM!

The blood barrier resisted for only a few seconds before cracks rapidly spread across its surface. The powerful Light Element mana continued pressing against it until the entire barrier finally shattered apart. However, Cassie’s expression suddenly became serious when she realized that her attack hadn’t hit anything.

Ravena was no longer there.

The strange presence that had been beside her had also disappeared.

Cassie immediately looked around, trying to determine where they had moved.

Then, she suddenly raised her hand and fired a Light Element spell directly above herself.

The spell shot upward at incredible speed.

A moment later, one of Asher’s vessels suddenly appeared in that exact location through spatial magic.

The vessel didn’t even have enough time to react. The Light Element spell struck it immediately.

BOOM!

The vessel was destroyed instantly, its body disappearing beneath the overwhelming power of the attack.

Cassie’s expression remained calm as she watched the remaining traces of mana disappear.

The frightening part was that she had launched the spell before Asher’s vessel had even teleported into that location.

Then, Cassie fired five more Light Element spells around herself. Each spell moved in a different direction, and every single one found its target without missing.

One after another, the attacks struck five of Asher’s vessels.

All five were demon vessels.

Cassie looked at the remains of the six destroyed demon vessels around her. However, instead of showing relief, her expression became even more grave.

Her instincts were still warning her.

Something was wrong.Very wrong.
