Maybe I really am a Villian

Chapter 227: Unexpected Guest 5

Ravena immediately became alert and asked, "What happened?"

Asher looked at her for a moment before his playful smile slowly returned to his face."I guess I was wrong. There isn’t a Grandmaster coming."

He paused briefly."Actually, an Immortal-rank expert is coming. It will reach here in just two seconds."

As soon as Ravena heard this, her expression changed to one of utter horror. She immediately realized how serious the situation had become and spoke in a hurried tone.

"Then what are you waiting for? Let’s escape n—"

Before she could finish her sentence, a tremendous explosion suddenly erupted somewhere nearby.

BOOM!

The entire facility began shaking violently. The ground trembled beneath their feet, while cracks spread across the surrounding walls. Dust and pieces of debris fell from above as the powerful impact traveled through the entire structure.

Ravena’s expression became even more serious.

Before she could think any further, Asher calmly looked toward her. Despite the fact that an Immortal-rank enemy had already arrived, the playful smile on his face hadn’t disappeared.

He then said casually, "Make a barrier of blood around us. The barrier protecting this facility is about to be destroyed soon."

After saying this, Asher simply took another sip from the potion in his hand, as if there was nothing unusual happening around him.

Ravena looked at Asher with a complicated expression.

There was anger, fear, and confusion mixed together in her eyes. She couldn’t understand how he could remain so relaxed at a moment like this.

Another violent tremor suddenly shook the facility.

Ravena immediately stopped wasting time and gathered the blood around her. The blood rapidly moved toward her and Asher’s vessel before forming a thick protective barrier around both of them.

The moment the barrier was completed, a powerful Light Element beam suddenly struck it.

BOOM!

The barrier managed to withstand the attack for only a few seconds.

Ravena desperately reinforced it with more blood, but the overwhelming force behind the Light Element attack was simply too powerful.

Cracks rapidly spread across the surface of the blood barrier.

Then, with a loud crack, the entire barrier was destroyed instantly.

The remaining Light Element beam continued forward and struck the exact place where the barrier had been moments earlier.

Meanwhile, at Church Headquarters.

Solarius had just returned to his office after finishing some work. He had barely taken a few steps inside when a Master-rank member of the Church suddenly entered without even knocking.

Solarius looked at the man with a serious expression. His eyes immediately became cold as he spoke in a commanding tone, "What is it that made you enter without even knocking? It better be important enough for you to ignore basic manners."

The Master-rank man immediately lowered his head and replied in a hurried tone, "Sir, it is very important. Something has gone wrong at the Demon Facility. Somehow, all the demons from Section 1 to Section 8 have escaped, and the Grandmasters stationed there have requested reinforcements."

Solarius listened calmly as the man gave his report. However, the moment he heard that the Grandmasters had actually requested reinforcements, a confused expression appeared on his face.

"They really requested reinforcements?"

Solarius frowned slightly before continuing, "They should be more than enough to deal with those weakened demons on their own."

He clicked his tongue in annoyance.

"Still, I will send some Grandmasters there as reinforcements. If anything goes wrong, tell them to hold out for as long as possible until the reinforcements arrive."

The Master-rank man immediately nodded.

Solarius paused for a moment before asking, "Dr. Samuel has already been rescued from there, right?"

The Master-rank man answered nervously, "Yes, Sir. He was already evacuated from the facility. However, shortly after he was evacuated, the teleportation formation there was destroyed. Because of that, we can’t teleport anyone directly to the facility anymore. The reinforcements will have to travel there by land."

Solarius shook his head in disappointment.

"They couldn’t even protect the teleportation formation."

He sighed before continuing, "They must have become careless after staying there for such a long time. You can go now. I will send someone there."

The Master-rank man hesitated.

He remained standing in front of Solarius, his expression complicated. There was a slight trace of fear in his eyes, as if he was hiding something important from him.

Solarius immediately noticed his hesitation.

He looked at the man for a moment before asking, "Is there anything else you have to report?"

As soon as Solarius asked the question, the Master-rank man hesitated again.

He then lowered his head and said nervously, "Forgive me, Sir, but Saintess Cassie arrived here to discuss something with you. You weren’t present at the time, so she was waiting here for you."

He swallowed nervously before continuing.

"Then I entered the office and didn’t realize that it was her and not you—"

Before the man could finish his sentence, a terrifying presence suddenly descended upon him.

BOOM!

The pressure instantly forced him down onto his knees.

His entire body trembled under the overwhelming force, and he struggled just to remain conscious.

Solarius’s expression had completely changed.

The calmness from before was gone, replaced by pure fury.

He stared down at the kneeling man and asked in a furious tone,"You told her about the Demon Facility?"

The Master-rank man tried to respond, but the pressure made it difficult for him to even breathe. After struggling for a moment, he finally nodded with great difficulty.

The man then said nervously, "I tried to refuse, but I couldn’t do anything when she threatened me. She told me that if I didn’t tell her, she would decrease my lifespan by one hundred years."

Solarius looked at the man kneeling before him with an angry expression. He wanted to kill him right there for making such a serious mistake, but he held himself back for the moment.

Instead, he asked coldly, "How long has it been since she left for facility?".
