Cassie looked at the remains of the six destroyed demon vessels around her. However, instead of showing any relief, her expression became even more grave.
Her instincts were still warning her.
Something was wrong.Very wrong.
Meanwhile, Inside Asher’s Spatial Domain.
Ravena was standing inside Asher’s Spatial Domain. She looked around with an expression filled with surprise and disbelief because, as far as she could see, everything around her was food.
She stared at the enormous amount of food stored throughout the spatial domain before muttering, "So this is what he meant by important things."
When the blood barrier was just about to be destroyed, Asher had suddenly opened a rift in space and told Ravena to go inside it.
Ravena didn’t hesitate even for a moment.
Staying outside at that time would have been nothing more than inviting death, so she immediately entered the rift.
However, before Asher closed the rift, he looked at her with a serious expression and said, "Don’t touch anything inside. The things inside here are very important to me, and if anything happens to them, then I’ll kill you without even asking why you did it."
That was the only time Ravena had seen Asher’s playful expression completely disappear.
After entering the Spatial Domain and seeing what was actually inside, Ravena couldn’t help but think,
"Some food is more precious than my life? I’m a Grandmaster-rank Vampire."
She couldn’t help but feel a little hurt by that thought.Who wouldn’t?.
She was a Grandmaster-rank Vampire, yet Asher seemed to value some of the food inside this place more than he valued her life.Still, Ravena didn’t dare touch anything.
She remembered the serious expression on Asher’s face clearly, and she had no intention of testing whether he was actually serious about killing her over something so small.
Instead, she simply waited as Asher had instructed.
Before entering the rift, Ravena had asked him why he wasn’t coming with her.
Asher had only replied calmly, "Nothing. I’m just going to greet someone and clear some of my doubts about something. And I hope the talk goes smoothly."
After saying that, Asher had disappeared.
Now, Ravena was left alone inside his Spatial Domain, surrounded by an enormous amount of food that she wasn’t allowed to touch.
She sighed quietly and continued waiting.
At Present — Demon Facility, or What Was Left of It
Cassie looked around carefully, but there was no sign of Ravena or anyone else. The facility had been reduced to ruins, with broken walls and destroyed structures scattered across the area. Yet, despite the silence, her instincts continued screaming at her to remain alert.
Then, Cassie suddenly looked toward her left.
About five hundred meters away, a figure appeared.
It was one of Asher’s human vessels, clad in black armor, with dark fog continuously flowing around its body like a living shadow. The moment Cassie saw the black armor, she froze completely.
Her expression immediately became even more grave.Because that was the same figure she had seen in her vision.
The same terrifying existence that had been responsible for the destruction she had witnessed in the future. The vision had shown her that destruction would happen in the coming days, and now that very figure was standing directly in front of her.
"So this is why my instincts kept telling me to kill whatever it was without even caring about anything else."
Something inside Cassie had been warning her to eliminate this being from the moment she arrived at the facility. The feeling was so strong that it was difficult for her to ignore.
However, Cassie still didn’t dare to act carelessly.
She remembered the six demon vessels she had destroyed earlier. Those vessels had already been close to death, their bodies seemingly beyond recovery.
She still couldn’t understand how those dying demons had been able to use spatial magic, nor how the being standing before her had been controlling them. Those questions could wait for now.
Even if she hadn’t attacked them, their bodies would probably have collapsed after a few moments. But the being standing before her was completely different.
Its presence was much stronger and with a completely perfect healthy body.
Cassie couldn’t even be certain that she could stop it from escaping if it decided to flee. The fact that it possessed the Spatial Element made the situation even more troublesome.
She could activate her Domain, but there was no guarantee that she would be able to trap the vessel before it escaped through spatial magic.
Because of that, Cassie didn’t immediately take action.
Instead, she decided to remain calm, search for answers, and learn as much as possible about the mysterious being standing before her.
Meanwhile, Asher’s vessel looked at Cassie with a curious gaze.
Cassie also continued observing him carefully.
’That thing is definitely only Master-rank.’
She narrowed her eyes slightly.
’But the one from my vision was at least Immortal-rank. According to the future I saw, that event will happen in sixty days. So how could he possibly reach the Immortal rank within only sixty days?’
The question continued bothering her.
Then, another possibility suddenly appeared in her mind.’Could the person standing before me only be a clone?’
Cassie’s expression became more serious as she considered the idea.
’Maybe his real body is somewhere else, and this vessel is only a clone or some kind of temporary body.’
The more Cassie thought about it, the more reasonable the possibility seemed.
If the figure standing before her was only a clone, then everything suddenly made more sense. It would explain why a Master-rank vessel was connected to the Immortal-rank existence from her vision.
It could also explain how the figure from her vision could appear in the future as an Immortal-rank being while the one standing before her now was only Master-rank.
Cassie kept her eyes fixed on Asher’s vessel, carefully studying every movement and then she finally decided to ask something after Asher didn’t do anything and just kept looking at her with a curious gaze.
