Maybe I really am a Villian

Aurelius looked at Asher for a moment without saying anything. Then, he finally spoke. "I don’t know if you are crazy or simply overconfident to have come here on your own."

Suddenly, the space around them became strange. Aurelius continued speaking without taking his eyes away from Asher. "Do you really think you will be able to escape from here while you are only a Master Rank, when there are nine Immortal Ranks present here, with one of them even possessing a spatial element that could easily block your exit, just like it was done just now?"

His expression became slightly more serious as he continued. "I don’t know how you were able to erase your presence for so long, but I don’t think you will be leaving here alive, even if this is only one of your bodies." Aurelius then looked towards Audrey before continuing, "And we were really in need of one of your bodies, so I guess I should thank you for giving us one now."

Asher simply looked at them. His entire body was covered in a thick, dark fog, making it impossible for anyone to see what expression he was making underneath it. Even so, his voice remained strangely calm, almost as if the situation he was in did not concern him at all.

"Yeah, I can’t escape from here. Escaping from an Immortal Rank spatial user is even difficult for me right now. But I never intended to escape in the first place. I just came here for something else. I never had any intention of going out of here alive."

His words caused everyone present to become slightly more alert. There was no hesitation in his voice. It was almost as if Asher had already accepted the fact that this body would be destroyed.

While Asher was speaking, Aurelius looked towards Audrey as well, but before Audrey could say anything, Asher continued. "No need for that. She can’t do a single thing. She can’t enter my consciousness unless she wants to become a little crippled, and she knows it better than anyone here."

"And even if she did somehow survive, in case I decided to let her live, she still wouldn’t be able to access my other bodies. So, it’s useless."

Aurelius turned towards Audrey and Lucas, both of whom had solemn expressions on their faces. They both understood what Asher meant. After noticing Aurelius looking at them, they simply nodded.

Audrey then looked at the dark fog covering Asher’s body and said, "That black fog covering his whole body is more dangerous than it seems." Her voice was serious. She could clearly sense something unusual from the fog, something that did not feel like an ordinary technique or element.

And then it was Draven who suddenly spoke. "That black fog reeks of death. Interesting." His eyes narrowed slightly as he looked at Asher. For some reason, the atmosphere around Asher had become even more disturbing after Draven said those words.

Aurelius didn’t say anything further. The other guards and the remaining two Immortal Ranks also remained silent. None of them made any sudden movement. Everyone was watching Asher carefully, trying to understand what he was planning.

And then it was Solarius who finally broke the silence. "So it is you who caused all this mess!" His voice was filled with anger. But then, as if he suddenly realized something, his expression changed slightly. "Are you also the one behind that Assassin incident?"

Asher looked towards Solarius. For a moment, he remained silent. Then, in a genuinely surprised tone, he said, "What? You have a brain? I never thought you would have one."

Solarius’s expression became even more furious, but he still didn’t act on his anger. Asher continued calmly. "Yeah, you’re right. It was me." As soon as he said that, Solarius became even angrier.

At the same time, both Solarius and Draven realized something. ’So it was him who killed them.’ Neither of them said anything about it. It didn’t matter anymore. Whatever had happened in the past, the situation before them was far more important now.

Aurelius looked at Asher for a few seconds before finally asking, "So why did you come here? Don’t tell me you just came here to tell us this and simply listen to what we were planning?"

Asher replied almost immediately. "Well, it was certainly fun to hear you all talk, but the real reason I came here is so that I could win in the future. I just came here to break your wills. If I can do that now, then it will be easier for me to kill you in the future. That’s all. Nothing more than that."

The surrounding atmosphere became strangely quiet. Even Aurelius’s expression changed slightly after hearing those words. Asher, however, didn’t seem concerned at all. He simply continued, "And now, you can kill me as well. I have already achieved what I came here to do."

He stood there calmly, surrounded by enemies who were all capable of killing him. Yet, there was no fear in his voice.

Aurelius looked at Asher for a moment before suddenly laughing.

"I really can’t believe you are someone who was of a higher rank in the past. Are you stupid or something? Who even breaks the wills of their enemies while openly telling them that he specifically came here to break their wills?"

Aurelius shook his head slightly, still looking at Asher with an amused expression.

"Seriously, I can’t understand what you were thinking when you decided to come here and tell us all of this yourself. If your intention was really to gain an advantage over us in the future, then you have done the exact opposite."

He stopped for a moment, letting his words sink in before continuing.

"Don’t you know that saying, ’Know your enemies, and you have already won half the victory’?"

His smile became slightly wider.

"And here you are, telling us exactly why you came here. You even told Saintness Cassie everything about your ability. Otherwise, we could have never discovered it for a very long time. You practically handed us the information we needed."
