Mindless Beasts

Chapter 67: No longer an immediate threat

Silence.

Sly whispered, "blood."

"What was that?" yelled Foley. "I didn’t hear it!"

"Our blood," repeated Sly, a bit louder.

"That’s right! Alpha, Omega or Beta. None of that shit matters when it comes to our blood," Foley now had everyone’s full attention and he felt pleased with himself. "Of course, any alien with intelligence would choose S-tier blood over C-tier but at the end of the day you’re nothing more than an energy drink to our enemies. Now that you all see the importance of combat class I hope you all take it seriously going forward. As you all know the trials are around the corner so enjoy this brief respite of peace while it lasts. The face seated beside you now might not make it out of the trials alive. For the survivors I’ll only say this once, I hope the lessons taught will be valuable to take with you throughout life not just your military career. May those that pass the trials qualify for field experience next term. Good luck and Class dismissed."

After combat class the Military Law class was basically a blur if the course wasn’t mandatory then Sly would have loved to switch to something else.

Basically the course would delve deeper into rank structure, the discipline level expected from novice students, military justice systems and adherence to orders.

It didn’t help that the lecturer was an elderly military lawyer nearing retirement that liked to hear himself talk with little to no rapport with students.

After that was the 4th period which was a split session.

Which meant some days they would learn the history of the Ephedra empire while on other days they would explore Tactical and Field Craft.

TFC was basically spy training which got the students all excited.

Since they would learn stuff like techniques for camouflage, land navigation using a map and compass, military gadgetry, individual movement techniques and constructing field cover.

With the morning sessions over, Sly could finally escape to Lunch and he chose to have lunch in the Preston Hall cafeteria instead of the main because it would be less crowded.

There would be no more mixed sessions with alphas, omegas and betas for the rest of the day to his relief.

For the other half of the schedule Sly would head over to the Guide Learning Center after lunch for the remainder of the day.

While patiently standing in the cafeteria line and observing the food on display in the usual buffet style.

Maybe because the academy was located in a mountainous area filled with many rivers and lakes.

Sly noticed that there was a lot of seafood on display, not just fish but shrimp, crayfish, crabs, lobsters and even frog legs.

Each of those frog legs looked three times the size of a regular chicken drumstick; they had to be mutated with alien DNA.

Still he hurried to decide so that when it was his turn to choose menu items Sly would already know what he wanted and wouldn’t waste precious seconds of lunch time.

As he shuffled closer to the top in the buffet line Khaldun Wolfe naturally fell in step behind him, looking well rested, and handsome as usual.

It didn’t matter that Khaldun skipped the lunch line.

The beta that had been standing behind Sly looked in awe of the Royal Alpha and would gladly do it again for the recognition and to hear the polite thank you from his idol.

The raven haired sentinel calmly stood behind Sly in a calm and relaxed manner.

Sly Foxx observed the S-tier alpha standing behind him from the corner of his eyes.

No matter what, be it his stature, appearance or family background Khaldun Wolfe was undoubtedly an alpha at the top of the pyramid.

Other Prestonites weren’t even trying to hide the fact that they were observing the couple.

Khaldun was the ideal dream lover of all the betas and reigned supreme at the Paradise MIlitary Academy’s chat forums.

As the uncontested title holder of the number one alpha most omegas wanted to fuck.

His mismatched eyes, one blue the other green stared down intently at Sly, some alphas passing by called out to the popular Royal Alpha.

Khaldun politely nodded in response, showing respect for those that admired him.

As expected there were numerous guides and surprisingly a few alphas that were openly interested in Khaldun.

They all saw that the popular single alpha sentinel was now out of rampage mode.

No longer an immediate threat or danger to society and were now more than willing to hook up with the alpha sentinel.

Yet the omega Khaldun wanted to be his exclusive guide acted like he was not willing in front of others.

If it wasn’t for his regular violent episodes Khaldun as a Royal Alpha would have been out of their league.

He would have probably settled down with someone from Capital already if Khaldun wasn’t so reckless with his mind and body.

The visible wounds on his face and body had already healed.

Before meeting Sly, the S-tier alpha’s face always appeared gaunt and overly thin but after receiving guiding from Sly everyone remarked that his face had gained some plumpness.

He looked gorgeous, full of life and vitality while bursting with spiritual energy that no longer seemed violent or chaotic.

Today Khaldun was smartly and meticulously dressed in a dark green sentinel uniform and a well buttoned matching overcoat.

This placed emphasis on his athletic build by dramatically showcasing Khaldun’s broad shoulders, long muscular legs and narrow waist.

In spite of being in rampage mode for a long time everyone remarked that Khaldun’s physique had not diminished.

Despite the negative effects of dealing with chaotic energy in his spirit domain.

In addition, Khaldun had replaced the spiritbracelet had been destroyed but instead of one the Royal Alpha now sported two on either wrists.

They were the latest interstellar models imbued with magnetic restraints to help cope with any potential chaotic energy outburst or mental frenzy.

Sly ignored all the above, he went ahead and broke the silence.

Enthralling Khaldun, especially when he tipped on his toes to whisper bravely in Khaldun’s ear, "I suppose you already heard what happened today in Foley’s combat class?"
