The omega apologized for knocking Sly down but continued running in the direction of the pond.

Victor and company swiftly gave chase.

Sly could have just minded his business and turned away but instead he followed slowly from a distance just trying to catch their conversation with the persecuted omega.

His half brother didn’t notice that it was Sly.

Probably too consumed with malice towards the omega he chased all the way to the edge of the pond.

Summer was practically over and autumn was knocking at the door.

It was the second week in September and the air still felt hot and humid.

Already the leaves of many trees had started to change from green, to yellow, red and orange colors.

Leaves from the trees floated across the large pond and the cornered omega stared blankly at Victor’s group hurling disparaging slurs and expletives at him.

"Victor, go away. Leave me alone and take your scum friends with you!"

Victor wore an expression on his face, as if to say who does this trash omega think he is?

Sly approved of this omega he was very brave facing down the doll faced, leader of the scumbags that was standing right in front of him.

Even though Sly didn’t know what the omega had done wrong to draw his half brother’s ire.

He already stood with him and applauded the omega in his heart for being fierce despite the odds being stacked against him.

Neither did his followers who now had the omega surrounded by them and was now being pushed around from person to person within the circle.

They got more violent when they realized the omega wasn’t acting cowed even though he couldn’t fight, much less win a six versus one.

Victor shouted at the top of his lungs. "I saw you talking with William today during lunch. Do you recognize the gap between the two of you? You’re just a lowly B-tier omega slut that reminds me of my half brother too much. I’m A+ and will be hitting S-tier soon. Do you think you deserve William? Why would he want you when William has me. Do you think I would just sit by and do nothing while you flirt with my partner? You’ve been warned, don’t even stalk him!"

"You’re delusional, your klutz of an alpha knocked over my food tray and was simply apologizing and offering his tray instead so I wouldn’t have to rejoin the long lunch line," retorted the omega. "You should have just asked your man, even after embarrassing himself like that he still wanted to flirt and exchange contacts. I told him I wasn’t interested and he still continued to pester me, until he finally got the hint and moved on. It seems like someone needs to either get a new lover or put a leash around your precious William if you can’t control him."

There must be something in the food today because this omega wasn’t afraid to speak his mind and put Victor and William on blast.

Victor obviously never expected his latest rival to say all of that out of the blue, his friends embarrassed for Victor all froze not sure what to do next.

The omega added further insult to injury by saying, "where I’m from I already have a lot of proposals from better looking alphas. If William didn’t look so pitiful apologizing I would never have been able to stomach looking in his direction for too long, especially knowing he has a viper like you for a mate."

This was an overstatement.

Everyone knows William’s appearance was not the best in the Ephedra Empire, but it definitely wasn’t that terrible or unsightly for that matter.

Let’s not forget that despite William’s dwindling popularity he was still an A-tier ranked sentinel.

At this rate they were going to murder that omega if Sly didn’t step in to assist.

"No one will ever be worthy of your precious William. Only the two of you, the perfect couple, think everyone else is brain dead and only the two of you were born with all the intelligence in the world. Victor, don’t you think it’s time you stop surrounding yourself with sycophants and ’yes’ people. Only you alone see William as some kind of male god? The rest are just currying favor because they want whatever you promised, not because they are your real friends. Just let the omega go."

Victor blindsided shouted, "what the fuck! Get lost! This is none of your business Sly Foxx you don’t even know this omega. Why do you care what happens to him?"

Not waiting on a response Victor signaled for his omega gang to beat up Sly.

They nearly succeeded in Sly pushing into the pond.

He had a moment of instability because being close to the edge of the pond was very slippery.

The next second his hand was yanked and a firm hand was wrapped around Sly’s tiny waist.

He was being pulled to the side of the omega Sly was supposed to be saving, the weak omega was suddenly not so weak anymore.

With Sly around the omega had a drastic shift in confidence and together they fought against Victor and his crew.

The omega’s attitude reminded Sly of a prickly hedgehog.

He came alive during the fight.

Now that the tables turned the omega was not just enjoying the fight.

He was enjoying the thrill of danger.

The madness in the omega’s eyes as he kicked, punched and pummeled their opponents was uncanny.

Pleasure poured out of every pore as he wrecked havoc on his enemies that now lay in pain crumpled on the ground, curled up while protecting their head or stomachs.

Now it was just down to Victor and Sly.

Sly didn’t hesitate.

Ignoring Victor’s pathetic face and pleading cries.

Young Foxx kicked Victor Duncan directly into the fish pond behind him.

Victor made a loud thump sound when he hit the surface of the water, that had to hurt.

"I can’t swim," shouted Victor while gulping down water and flailing his hands wildly.

Eventually he would sink like a rock to the bottom of the pond.

"Cronies, listen up. You better go save your cash cow before he drowns, he can’t supply you with freebies if he’s dead," snickered Sly.

There were only groans in response but as Sly walked away he heard the sound of splashes as they jumped in to save Victor.

"Will he be okay?" inquired the omega.

"Victor will be alright," replied Sly while enthusiastically walking away. "I’m more worried about us, we are already five minutes late for class. Let’s go!"
