Giles called out anxiously.

"Moran is the master of gene modulation at Sai Enshi Academy, and the Doomsday Tribunal dreams of getting rid of her."

"Yang Fei is even more the future star of the academy. If anything happens to either of them, it's a huge loss the academy cannot afford."

Sam nodded his head.

"I know all of this, but the biggest problem now is that we can't openly rescue Yang Fei and Moran."

"Otherwise, if the enemy's scout discovers our movements, it will instead prematurely expose the two of them to the enemy."

Giles and Sam had been friends for decades; Giles was great at making decisive judgments, while Sam was great at devising plans. The two worked together seamlessly.

Giles' eyes brightened hearing Sam say this: "What's your idea?"

Sam began stuffing tobacco into his pipe while speaking.

"Since Yang Fei and Moran have already gone to the Doomsday Forest, we can send a team of elite warriors to quietly follow them."

"This team of elite warriors can investigate under the guise of gathering military intelligence, and before encountering Yang Fei and Moran, the mission remains confidential."

Giles nodded, but his face showed some difficulty.

"Doomsday Forest is already near the Doomsday Tribunal; enemies surround us. Who should we send?"

Sam smiled slightly, igniting the pipe and taking a deep puff.

"I've already thought about it, let's send the Silver Wing Sanctuary Knights."

Giles was taken aback.

"Only the Federal Government has the authority to deploy the Silver Wing Sanctuary Knights, I don't have said access."

Sam laughed heartily, smoke spraying from his mouth and nose.

"With your status, you certainly have a way to deploy them. After all, the Sanctuary Knights are all graduates of our Sai Enshi Academy."

Giles hesitated for a while before making a decision.

"I originally didn't like asking for help, but for Yang Fei and Moran, I have to swallow my pride."

Sam laughed, squinted his eyes at Giles, jokingly saying.

"Indeed, who would have thought our Dean, for the first time asking for help, would do so for a chubby guy and a woman."

Giles scolded him, stood up and hurriedly walked towards the door.

"There's not a moment to lose, I must quickly mobilize the Silver Wing Sanctuary Knights to ensure both of their safety."

At this moment, Yang Fei and Moran had reached the edge of the Doomsday Forest and were resting in a small town called Kachino.

Kachino Town is the only entryway into the Doomsday Forest.

Doomsday Forest is at the periphery of the Doomsday Tribunal; traversing this vast, primitive forest leads to the region controlled by the Doomsday Tribunal.

Countless bounty hunters and mercenaries will also appear in the Doomsday Forest, hunting dark creatures for rewards from the Federal Government.

Those daring to hunt here are super strong beings, all requiring rest and resupply.

In consequence, Kachino Town witnessed a grotesque flourishing.

Kachino Town is already within the Doomsday Tribunal's controlled area, with scouts and sentries present.

Yet, there are also many ordinary people here.

Although it's wartime, the Doomsday Judgment doesn't target ordinary people.

They encourage more humans to embrace the Doomsday Goddess.

This appeasement policy results in many people opening businesses here.

Kachino Town thus becomes a place where humans and dark creatures live mixed together and harmoniously coexist.

Certainly, the Doomsday Tribunal is not lenient towards mercenaries and bounty hunters, discovering them means killing without mercy.

Ordinary mercenaries and bounty hunters dare not brazenly rest in the town.

Most only briefly resupply guns, ammunition, and basic provisions, then hastily leave.

Thus, Kachino Town has only a single hotel.

When Yang Fei and Moran arrived, there were no rooms left.

Yet, with Fatty Master's persistent nagging and sizable bribe, the hotel owner managed to vacate a room for them.

At this moment, dusk was falling, from the hotel's second floor, the entire town could be seen.

In the gloomy twilight, the dark streets occasionally flickered with light, only to be extinguished quickly.

Yang Fei took out the Barrett gun parts from his backpack, assembling the Heavy Sniper.

He adjusted the scope and used a soft clean towel to wipe the Barrett Heavy Sniper until it gleamed.

Moran watched Fatty Master, somewhat surprised.

She only now realized this Fatty Master not only excelled at Martial Arts but also had expertise with firearms.

In the dark streets, patrol teams of dark creatures' soldiers whisked by.

From Moran's vantage point, she could see lines of bizarre creatures orderly passing through.

They wield scythe-like bony appendages, walking underground, making rustling sounds.

Such a scene Moran found unsurprising.

But for Yang Fei, seeing such a peculiar sight for the first time left him with mouth agape.

Moran sighed faintly and said.

"After the nuclear explosion, nuclear radiation accelerated human brain evolution, enabling many special abilities."

"Other creatures are much the same as humans."

"After nuclear radiation, they gained even stronger special abilities and experienced exponential brain cortical evolution, thus acquiring intelligence."

Yang Fei never imagined that the advent of the doomsday would result in such a scenario.

Yet upon reflection, he came to terms with it; it was humanity's doomsday, not Earth's creatures' termination.

Perhaps after humanity's extinction, new life would pave the way for a new era of civilization.

Moran made some casual remarks, noticing Fatty Master's persistent thirst for knowledge, found it somewhat strange.

"Surely you don't say you're unaware of all this?"

Yang Fei chuckled.

"Of course not, but even such simple facts coming from Professor Moran's mouth are different."

Moran scolded him and said faintly.

"Less flattering, more action. Now I'm going to sleep, you stand guard."

At this moment, Yang Fei's eyes suddenly widened, making sounds of surprise.

"Who would've thought, you'd still encounter a beauty in a place like this!"

Moran was startled and quickly took a few steps, looking outside from the third floor.

On one side of the town street was parked an off-road Jeep, its body painted with cool green stripes.

A woman in a camouflage suit was placing a long leg on the Jeep's hood, tying her shoelace.

Even to Moran's discerning eye, this woman was stunningly striking.

Her flowing and robust lines, like a graceful American Panther, emanated a menacing lethal aura, yet possessed an indescribable elegant lightness.

Her whole body seemed to emit light, capturing the attention of everyone around.

Moran glanced only briefly, her eyes felt pricked as if by sharp needles, her pupils contracted much like a cat's under sunlight.

She turned around, just happened to see Fatty Master's smiling face, scoffed, and said faintly.

"Indeed the woman is very beautiful, but be careful not to get pricked by her thorns."

Fatty Master laughed heartily.

"I'm merely admiring the flower, without any intention of picking it."

"No matter how dangerous her thorns, they won't concern Fatty Master."

Moran snorted.

"Better be, this woman is troublesome, don't provoke her, if you ruin my plans, I won't spare you."
