In the next instant, a cyan light flared, splitting the sky. A radiance more blinding than the sun blossomed forth, so intense that thunder crackled in the air. Wherever this light passed, solid rock vaporized, the torrential rain retreated, and all things turned to ash. The aftershocks stirred the atmosphere, creating shockwaves that formed trailing tornadoes.

From the Whale God and Su Zhou—one large, one small, one from the left, one from the right—two rays of light so bright they seemed to be the only things in existence converged between them.

Then, a total silence fell, followed by a deafening roar that shook the heavens!

A semi-spherical orb of pale cyan energy, centered on the point of impact of the two breaths, rapidly expanded across the ground. The lake water and earth were annihilated by its power, forming a massive crater.

Then, the pale cyan energy orb shattered. The two breaths, tearing each other apart, scattered into dozens of smaller beams. These beams shot out in all directions, setting off a chain of explosions. A grayish-white mushroom cloud that blotted out the sun slowly rose above the remnants of the orb, with arcs of blue-green electricity coursing through its form.

And at that very moment, a tiny metallic glint flashed through the air. It pierced through the immense breath attack and the clouds, carrying a power capable of slaying a Soul, and struck the Crystal Stone on the head of the Water God before it could react!

CRACKLE... A series of faint cracking sounds echoed. One could see that atop the astonished Water God’s head, the golden-red body of a blade, now just its core, was embedded in the Crown Crystal Stone. Countless fine cracks were spreading across the stone.

It was the largest of the three Crystal Stones, the one in the very center. And now, amidst the Water God’s frenzied cries of pain, this blue-green Crystal Stone shattered and crumbled, turning into countless dull fragments!

"This is the Energy Gathering Effect!"

Su Zhou roared with laughter, his grayish-white scales smoking as if they were overloading. These Dragon Scales could resist attacks, but not just external ones. The rampaging Spiritual Power inside Su Zhou’s body was also absorbed and converted by the scales, allowing him to use his True Body as a cannon barrel to gather immense power without fear of self-destructing.

Even with its core Spiritual Power Organ destroyed, the dazed Water God awoke with a furious roar the moment it sensed hostile intent, once more engaging Su Zhou in battle. Although Su Zhou’s body was now enormous, his movements remained incredibly agile. In fact, his brawny new arms and legs had taken his mobility to an entirely new level.

The Water God’s counterattacks stirred the air, whipping up violent hurricanes. But Su Zhou used Wind Aid to leap freely amidst the gales, using his massive body to carve one wound after another upon the even more colossal Water God.

The two monsters tore at each other, the lake churning and roiling under the bombardment of their power. The resulting Spiritual Light was so brilliant it could be seen even from the distant Naisel City.

The City Guard Army and other Transcendents still protecting the city and its shelters bowed their heads in that direction. They piously chanted Su Zhou’s name, some even kneeling on the ground, praying for his victorious return.

Likewise, in the camp of the Water God Believers, countless Fishmen and intelligent Undead prostrated themselves, chanting and worshipping from afar.

But neither of the combatants could hear them.

This life-and-death struggle lasted for over an hour, until the storm ceased, the waves of rain subsided, and the praying crowds fell into a deathly silence.
