My All Powerful System

Chapter 101: The 50th Chosen - Kira vs Emily

The arena was buzzing with students, many already live streaming the match about to happen, phones up, screens glowing.

It was packed. Year 1s mostly, screaming in the front rows. Then Year 2s. A few Year 3s scattered through the middle, arms crossed and just talking with their friends.

Year 4 students were mostly watching online like the staff, their names popping up in the live chat.

This was the match that would decide the 50th student to represent AETHER Blessed Academy, and the air was thick with heat and anticipation.

Most Year 2 fire affinity students knew Kira was their strongest. Well, after Lynx. And a few that had seen Emily fight were saying that was before. That now they might be evenly matched.

You could hear them in the stands.

"Kira’s got an intense training schedule, she’s cracked."

"Nah bro, Emily’s also strong. She burned 3 people last week. Girls are still fantasizing about Lynx."

Lira, Ava and Eira were sitting together, third row, center. They didn’t care who wins anyway. They were already wearing matching team shirts that said: "Just Don’t Die"

But they were also eager to see the fight. They were talking about it when they received a message from the group Lynx created... that had been renamed by Eira to "Lynx Favorites"... that he won’t be coming and will be watching online. That he’s with Prof Rose.

Lira was all worried and was sending stuff like, "I hope you’re alright, are you okay??"

Lynx told her he was fine. "I’m good Lira, just watching with Rose. Be back soon."

Then Eira said, "you better not try anything funny with Teacher Rose."

Lynx replied, "no promises"

Ava then sent a picture of her to his private DM with the caption "love you, missing you already."

Lynx was doing all this with Rose’s eyes watching his every move. She was leaning on her desk, arms crossed, that slutty outfit riding up just enough to be unfair.

She saw the messages. And although she acted like she didn’t care, she felt like she actually did. And seeing him smiling at the picture Ava sent made her fist clenched slightly, then she said.

"You’ve got quite the girls huh." Her voice was flat.

Lynx replied while putting his phone away. "Yeah." And he winked at her. "You aren’t jealous are you?"

Rose threw another fireball at him. This one hotter and bigger. It sizzled past his cheek and melted the corner of his desk.

Lynx dodged while he laughed. "Damn, My Fire Queen wants to kill me." He then mentally noted that she was starved and he really needs to fuck her.

Even Rose doesn’t know what’s happening to her. The more she keeps inhaling his scent, the more she feels hotter and weird.

It’s like his scent alone is an aphrodisiac. And she could see why girls cling to him beyond his obvious looks and strength. Her thighs pressed together under the desk and she hated herself for it.

Lynx could smell her arousal and he was also getting hard. Her outfit was just so damn slutty and the way she was trying to conceal her emotions was so cute. And the fact that he knows he’ll be the only man to see that face is making his dick go crazy.

But they focused back on the big screen. Rose could wait. His girls were about to almost kill each other.

Inside the stage.

The old professor had sealed the stage. The crowd was huge and the match was going to be crazy.

Kira and Emily were staring predatively at each other, sizing each other up. 10 meters apart. Kira’s hair tied back. Emily opposite her, fingers clenched.

Kira then smirked. "I’m gonna get chosen and we both know that. Besides your big boobs, I’m stronger than you." Only both of them could hear what she said, of course.

Emily laughed at that, low and dangerous, "Our breasts size are almost the same don’t know why you’re so jealous about mine."

Then she glanced at the old man for a second. "I know you’ve been training with Teacher Rose. But hey, guess what. I’ve been training too."

The professor met her gaze, jumped back, and landed on the referee platform. "BEGIN!"

Both girls didn’t move at first. 3 seconds. 5 seconds. The crowd started getting restless.

Then Emily spoke, voice calm. "No matter what happens here... for Lynx’s sake, let’s still be good after this." She held out her hand. A handshake.

Kira stared at it for a second, then nodded and took it.

"Yeah. We’re good."

They broke apart and put distance between them again. 10 meters.

The students were losing it. "What’s happening?"

"Why are they shaking hands instead of fighting?" It had been 20 seconds since the fight started and nobody had moved.

Then Kira’s voice dropped. "Alright. I’ll end this." She moved first.

Axus Flame erupted behind her. Two wings of fire snapped open with a crack. She shot forward, not flying yet, just closing the gap. Her fist was wreathed in fire, a straight punch aimed at Emily’s jaw.

Emily moved too. Her Flame Heart flared, heat rolling off her in waves. Her own fist met it head on.

BOOM!

The shockwave blew dust across the arena. Their knuckles locked, fire grinding against fire.

"Not bad," Emily said, grinning, sweat already on her brow. Kira looked at her surprised, while she taunted. "Are you surprised, Kira?"

Kira snarled. "Shut up." She twisted and drove a knee up, coated in fire, aimed at Emily’s ribs. Emily caught it with her forearm. But the impact still sent her sliding back, her shoes carving lines in the stone.

The fire affinity students in the stands went dead silent.

"She blocked that."

"That was insane."

Kira didn’t give her space. She jumped. Her wings finally opened. She was airborne now, Axus Flame letting her fly.

She rained down fire. Not wild flames, it was precise. A dozen spears, thin, sharp, and fast. They screamed down like meteors.

Emily planted her feet. "Wall!" She slammed both palms down. A crescent of fire rose from the ground and caught most of the spears, melting them mid air. Two got through. She sidestepped. But one grazed her shoulder and her uniform burned.

"Getting cocky?" Emily taunted, shaking ash off her arm. "Rose didn’t teach you to aim?"

Kira landed hard. A crater formed under her feet. "I’m aiming fine. You’re just lucky."

They circled each other before Kira dashed in again, this time low. A sweep of fire along the ground, trying to catch Emily’s legs. Emily jumped it, flipped, and as she came down she fired a ball of compressed flame from her palm.

"Flame Jab!"

Kira crossed her arms and took it to the chest. She was pushed back but didn’t fall. "Is that all?" she said. For the first time she sounded frustrated. This wasn’t supposed to be hard.

"Surprised?" Emily said again, bouncing on her feet. "You thought because of Professor Rose you’re stronger—"

"Shut up, Em." Kira snapped. And this time she went serious.

Her Axus Flame burned brighter. The heat made the translucent barrier shimmer. From above she screamed, "Rain!"

The sky inside the stage turned red. Hundreds of fire needles fell. Not big, but fast. Each one aimed. This was what Rose’s training was about. Strength. Control. Precision. Experience.

The crowd stood up. Lira grabbed Eira’s arm.

"Holy shit." Ava whispered, "She’s not holding back."

On the ground, Emily’s eyes widened. She couldn’t block all of it, so she didn’t. She ran, weaving. Flame Heart kept the heat off her lungs. A needle caught her thigh. Another hit her arm. But she was laughing.

"You’re good," she called up, bleeding a little. "But I’m better at this."

She slammed her hands together. "Flame Heart, Overdrive!" Her aura spiked. The air around her distorted. And she fired back. It wasn’t needles. It was one condensed big beam. It shot up and carved a hole through Kira’s rain.

Kira had to bank hard. The beam missed her by inches and hit the barrier. The old professor reinforced it instantly.

"Yo," Lynx said in the office, leaning forward. "When did Emily get this strong?" He scanned both of their stats through the screen with this Primodial Vision and nodded. Yeah, this’ll be interesting.

Rose didn’t answer. Her eyes were locked on the screen. She knew Emily would give Kira a hard time, but not this.

It was almost a draw. It was a really good fight. One of the best fights in this year’s Ascension Trials. Maybe the best. Her fingers were gripping the desk. "Kira, don’t disappoint me." She muttered.

Back in the arena, Kira dropped down, landing in front of Emily. Both of them were breathing hard now.

"You’re annoying," Kira said.

"You’re predictable," Emily shot back.

They attacked at the same time.

Kira threw a straight punch, fire around her fist.

Emily answered with a palm strike, Flame Heart burning brighter.

They collided center chest. The explosion threw both of them back. They skidded and both dropped to one knee.

The arena was dead quiet. Then it erupted.

"WHAT THE FUCK!"

"THEY’RE EVEN!"

Lira, Ava and Eira were on their feet. Lira said softly, "Kira, get up." while Eira shouted, "Emily, don’t you dare lose." Ava just said, "Wow. They are fighting really well."

Kira stood first. Frustration in her eyes. She hated this feeling. She was supposed to be the strongest after Lynx. Rose trained her. "Get up," she said.

Emily stood too, wiping blood from her lip. "Make me."

They clashed again. Fire fist to Fire fist. No more flying or fancy movements. Just raw punch, kick, block, burn. Every hit laced with fire and they landed.

Every hit hurt. Kira had the edge in raw strength, pushing Emily back. But Emily kept hitting where it hurt. Joints, ribs, temple.

It went on, and on. Each movement faster than the last. After a few minutes.

Kira grabbed Emily’s wrist and twisted.

"Enough."

Emily kneed her stomach. "Never."

They broke apart, both panting, Kira grinning like a maniac.

"You’re strong," Kira admitted, begrudging.

"You too," Emily said. "But whoever wins gives her virginity to Lynx first."

Kira grinned and charged. This was it. Axus Flame condensed to her arms. She wasn’t flying. She was running. Every step cracked the floor. She threw everything into one punch.

Emily saw it coming. She couldn’t dodge the hit, wouldn’t be fast enough. So she met it. Her Flame Heart blessing reducing the damage. Both her arms up. "Come on!"

The punch landed.

BOOM.

Emily’s guard broke. The force hit her shoulder and spun her. She flew back and hit the ground hard, sliding. Smoke came off her body.

Kira stood there, breathing like she ran a marathon. She looked drained. Sweat dripping off her, her arms were shaking.

Silence for some seconds.

Then...

"Winner." The old professor shouted, voice booming while looking at Kira with a respectful gaze. "Kira Lewis! The 50th chosen student to represent AETHER Blessed Academy!"

The arena exploded. Cheers, screams.

Kira walked over to Emily and held out her hand. Emily looked up, bruised, somehow burned, but still smiling, and took it. Kira pulled her up.

They looked at each other. Both were wrecked. Both still smiling beautifully.

"Good fight," Kira said.

"Good fight for real," Emily replied.

From the stands, Lira, Ava and Eira were already running down. "KIRA!" "EMILY!" "THAT WAS CRAZY."

They went down to the stage and took Kira and Emily to the infirmary. Both of them were still talking shit the whole way.

In the office, Rose exhaled. She looked proud, chest rising.

"That was a good match. As Emily’s teacher, even she surprised me."

"Yeah," Lynx replied. "They’re my girls. They’ll be even stronger soon."

Her eyes and Lynx’s eyes locked. The fight seemed to help Rose take her mind off Lynx for some minutes. But not really. His scent was filling her lungs.

His transcendental face and eyes were devouring her and now all her pent up desires sprang up and she was thinking about him again.
