My All Powerful System

Chapter 113: Conversations with the Academy Queen II

Eleanor stared at Lynx for a long second, her purple eyes filled with rich humor as a gorgeous, radiant smile spread across her face.

"You certainly don’t lack ambition, do you?" Eleanor teased lightheartedly. "In case you forgot, Lynx, you are eighteen. I am twenty one."

Lynx shrugged with effortless charm, waving a hand dismissively through the air.

"So? Age is just a number. Maturity is what counts, and I think we fit together perfectly."

Eleanor laughed again, a sound so warm and genuine that it completely dismantled any remaining authority in the room.

"To answer your question... no, Julian and I are not dating," Eleanor revealed, her voice calm and absolute. "We are more like co-workers. He’s the King of this Academy and I’m the Queen. But you should be careful, Lynx. Julian is already immensely jealous of you."

Lynx tilted his head, curious. "Jealous of me? Why?"

"Because out of the fifty students selected for the upcoming Blessed Tournament, your name was placed at the very top of the roster first... with you occupying 5 spots." Eleanor explained, her eyes watching his reaction closely.

"Julian takes his position as the King very seriously. Having a Year 2 student steal the spotlight has not made him happy."

Lynx let out a rich, booming laugh, completely unfazed by the warning.

"Honestly, I’ve never even seen the guy’s face," Lynx said, amused. "Why should I waste time worrying about someone I’ve never seen?"

Eleanor blinked, her purple eyes flashing with mild surprise.

"You’ve never seen Julian?" Eleanor asked. "He’s featured on every major academy news. To non Blessed outside, he’s among the most popular Blessed they know."

Lynx shook his head. "Nope. Never paid attention."

Eleanor turned her gaze toward the four girls standing behind him, silently seeking confirmation.

Nadia gave a simple, indifferent shrug. Layla stepped forward slightly, nodding in agreement.

"He’s actually telling the truth, Eleanor," Layla reported smoothly. "When we intercepted him in the cafeteria earlier, he didn’t even know who Eleanor Haleborn was. He had no idea you were the Queen."

Eleanor stared at Lynx, genuinely shocked now.

"You’ve been enrolled in Aether Blessed Academy for nearly three months, Lynx," Eleanor pointed out, her tone a mix of disbelief and fascination. "How could you possibly not know who the student rulers are?"

Lynx chuckled softly, counting off on his fingers.

"Well, let’s see. In those three months, I’ve only actually attended class twice."

Eleanor nodded slowly, a knowing smile touching her lips. "Yes, I read your attendance record. It’s shockingly empty."

"Exactly," Lynx continued smoothly. "I left the academy grounds for an entire month to take care of ’personal business’. I came back, became the first chosen participant out of the fifty chosen students, left the academy again for a few weeks, and literally just got back today. I haven’t exactly had time to browse the student directories."

At that moment, Iris Nightglow stepped forward by a single inch. Her striking silver eyes were locked onto Lynx with deep curiosity.

"How do you keep leaving the academy grounds without the security personnel spotting you?" Iris asked, her voice clear and smooth as breeze.

"If escaping the Academy were that easy, half the lower year students would have run off to their homes by now."

She paused, highlighting the difficulty.

"The security guards at the perimeter gates may not be Blessed, but they are elite humans. Every single one of them wears mana amplifying artifact rings that multiply their physical senses, reaction speed, and spatial awareness by five to ten times. It’s impossible to slip past them unnoticed."

Lynx’s smile broadened into a sharp, thrilling grin.

"Impossible?" Lynx repeated softly.

Without another word, Lynx stood up from his chair.

In a fraction of a millisecond, Lynx activated his Whisper Steps.

Movement occurred, but sound completely died. There was no displacement of air, no rustling of fabric, no footfall against the plush velvet carpet, and no scent of his left in the atmosphere.

To the human sensory perception, Lynx had not just moved he had completely ceased to exist in physical reality.

Before Iris could even blink, a warm, solid presence materialized directly behind her.

Iris froze instantly, her breath catching violently in her throat.

Lynx stood right behind her, his tall frame towering over her lithe body. He casually reached out, his long, warm fingers gently tracing the soft line of her jawline, turning her face slightly so his heterochromatic eyes could lock onto her wide, disbelieving silver eyes.

Iris felt a sudden, intense wave of heat flush across her cheeks as his proximity set every nerve on fire.

Before anyone could react, Lynx smoothly pulled his hand back and walked casually right back to his plush leather seat, sitting down as if he had never left it.

Eleanor’s purple eyes sparkled with sheer, unadulterated fascination.

"Wow," Eleanor breathed softly, genuinely impressed by the absolute silence and speed of the movement. "That was incredible."

Nadia scoffed from the side, trying to downplay the heavy tension in the air.

"It’s just a cheap movement trick," Nadia said firmly, though her hazel eyes were locked onto him with heightened vigilance.

"The perimeter guards use sensory artifact rings. A simple fast step wouldn’t bypass their spatial detection fields."

Lynx looked over at Nadia, his eyes taking in her voluptuous, hourglass frame, her dark brown waves, and the incredible, massive curve of her hips.

He knew right then that Nadia was even more intimidating and guarded than Layla on the surface.

A dark, playful glint flickered in Lynx’s eyes.

"Cheap trick, huh?" Lynx asked smoothly.

He looked over at Eleanor, offering a polite bow of his head. "Excuse me for a brief second, your Majesty."

In the very next instant, Lynx disappeared.

Not fast. Not moving. He vanished entirely into thin air.

He activated his invisibility Blessing, seamlessly weaving it together with his Whisper Steps.

The room instantly fell dead silent.

There was no mana signature, no sound of breathing, no physical displacement, and not a single trace of scent left behind. He completely vanished into thin air.

Every single person in the executive office went on high alert.

The four Year 4 enforcers immediately expanded their sensory fields, their eyes scanning every inch of the room.

Even the composed, regal Eleanor sat up straight, her striking purple eyes scanning the empty air with genuine shock.

She had watched the stream of his fight against Professor Jace in the lightning arena, how he appeared out of no where on the stage. But seeing his complete erasure of presence in person hit on an entirely different level.

Unbeknownst to them, Lynx moved through the room with absolute freedom.

He stepped silently behind Rhea Dawnwhisper. Leaning in close until his lips were mere millimeters from her delicate ear, Lynx whispered smoothly:

"Your short icy hair looks breathtaking up close, Rhea. You’re far too gorgeous to keep such a cold face."

Rhea’s icy blue eyes widened in absolute shock. She spun around instantly, her ice affinity flaring, but there was nothing behind her.

She rolled her eyes hard, though a faint blush dusted her cheeks.

Lynx slipped behind Iris next, leaning near her ear. "Your silver eyes are like stars, Iris. Your beauty is devastating."

Iris felt his warm breath sweep over her sensitive skin, her delicate shoulders shivering as a rich shade of pink painted her cheeks.

Lynx then glided over to Layla Solara, leaning near her ear. "You look even hotter when you’re trying to hide how impressed you are, Layla."

Layla’s jaw clenched slightly as she forced her face to remain completely expressionless, though her amber eyes darted around frantically trying to catch a trace of his presence.

Finally, Lynx materialized right behind Nadia Goldspire. He leaned close to her ear, whispering with rich, velvety smoothness.

"And you, Nadia... have the most unreal, magnificent body I’ve ever laid eyes on."

As the words left his lips, Lynx materialized at her back ignoring the stunned and disbelieving gaze of the other girls.

He reached out and lightly pressed his fingertips against the nape of her neck, dragging them slowly down her back along her spine.

Nadia’s instincts exploded.

"Pervert." Nadia roared, her earth affinity igniting instantly.

Driven by raw, reflexive embarrassment, Nadia whirled around and threw a devastating, terrifying right hook aimed directly for his chest.

Because of her Titan Power blessing, her physical strike carried ten times her normal S Rank strength, compressing the air in the room with a thunderous CRACK! that threatened to shatter the surrounding windows.

THUD!

The destructive force came to an abrupt, sudden halt.

Lynx stood right in front of her, completely visible, holding her massive, heavy hitting fist within the palm of his single right hand.

He didn’t move back an inch. He didn’t shift his feet. He caught her fully powered, ten times amplified strike as if catching a harmless stray feather.

A smooth, devastatingly handsome smile spread across Lynx’s face as he looked down into Nadia’s stunned hazel eyes.

"Calm down, Nadia," Lynx murmured softly, his voice full of gentle charm. "You know... violent anger really doesn’t suit you. Smiling would make that already beautiful face look completely ethereal."

Nadia’s eyes flashed with absolute fury and embarrassment.

"Let go." Nadia snapped, pulling back her fist and immediately throwing a brutal left hook toward his head.

Lynx didn’t even flinch. With effortless grace, he dipped his head beneath her incoming fist, slipping past her defense.

In one fluid, breathtaking martial movement, Lynx stepped behind her, wrapped his right arm tightly around her supple waist, and gathered both of her wrists into his single left hand, pinning them against her chest.

Nadia’s back was pressed flush against Lynx’s broad, sculpted chest. She was completely immobilized, locked in his firm, unyielding embrace.

Lynx leaned his head right beside hers, looking out at the other three girls and Eleanor as if giving a casual lecture.

"You see," Lynx spoke calmly, his deep voice vibrating right against Nadia’s back.

"Throwing punches and fighting purely based on raw emotion will get you cornered and killed on a real battlefield... unless, of course, you’re as strong as me."
