The two people outside continued to argue.

"You’re pregnant? Impossible! President Goldman told me he stopped liking you a long time ago, so how could he possibly sleep with you? To think you’d make up such a disgusting lie just to trick me. You’re so shameless!"

"Actions speak louder than words. You’ll find out soon enough if it’s true. I’ve already laid it all out, yet you’re still deluding yourself. I wonder who’s the shameless one here."

"You’re the shameless one! The man doesn’t even want you, and you’re still having his baby! You’re shameless!"

"You’re shameless!"

"No, *you’re* shameless!"

It started as just an argument, but as Cecelia Archer listened, she realized they had actually started fighting.

’One of them is pregnant,’ she thought. ’What if something happens...’

Cecelia Archer walked out from her stall.

Sure enough, a woman in a red dress and another in a white dress were viciously pulling each other’s hair, locked in a fierce struggle.

"Stop fighting! Stop it!"

She rushed over and tried to separate them, but the woman in red was completely out of control.

"Who the hell are you? Where did you crawl out from? Who asked you to butt in? Get lost!"

"This shameless bitch says she’s pregnant. Today, I’m going to check for myself if that belly is real or fake! Playing the fake pregnancy card to win a man’s favor in this day and age? That’s hilarious!"

Hearing that she wanted to "check" the other woman’s pregnant belly, Cecelia Archer instinctively stepped in front of the woman in the white dress.

When her eyes met the woman in red’s, she realized she looked a little familiar.

’Isn’t she an actress? I think I’ve seen her on TV.’

’How can a public figure have such terrible manners?’

"Whether she’s really pregnant or not, it’s none of your business. Why are you getting so worked up?"

Cecelia Archer blocked her path. "Calm down. There are a lot of people outside. What if someone comes in? We can talk this out."

The woman in red pointed a finger at Cecelia Archer’s nose, furious.

"I don’t care if anyone’s out there! President Goldman is mine, and mine alone! No one is going to take him from me! Now get out of my way! I don’t care if she’s really pregnant or not, I’m going to make sure that belly is empty by the end of the day! Get out!"

’What does she mean? If the woman is really pregnant, is she planning to force a miscarriage?’

That made Cecelia Archer even more determined not to move. "Don’t do anything rash! There are so many people outside. Causing a scene isn’t worth the trouble! Seriously, I’m warning you..."

While Cecelia Archer was shielding her, the woman in white took out her phone and called President Goldman.

Cecelia Archer stood between them, trying to calm the woman in red, when the door was pushed open from the outside.

A man of average build and average looks, but with an incredibly powerful aura, walked in with a cold expression.

The woman in red turned her head, saw him, and immediately ran over.

"President Goldman, you’re finally here! President Goldman! Lena hit me! She told me to break up with you immediately, or she’d have someone release a press statement to ruin my reputation! I’m so scared, President Goldman! WAAAH... Ever since I debuted, I’ve always been nothing but respectful to Lena, but she’s done this time and time again... You have to stand up for me, President Goldman~"

Hearing her play the victim, the woman in white pointed a finger at her, fuming.

"Ashley White, have you no shame? You’re respectful to me? I’ve wronged you? If you had half the acting talent you’re showing now when you’re actually on set, you wouldn’t have gone five years since your debut without winning a single award!"

"Fine, fine, I can’t be bothered talking to you. As for you, Goldman, you owe me an explanation. When are you two going to break it off? I’m already pregnant and I’m not getting an abortion. Whether you break up with her or not, I’m having this baby. If you want to watch your child call another man ’Daddy,’ then you can keep messing around with her."

"You can protect her for a while, but you can’t protect her forever. I won’t let her get away with this. Just you wait. I’ll use every ounce of power I have to completely destroy her reputation!"

The woman in white was clearly not as clever as the one in red. Shouting, yelling, and making threats in front of the man, she successfully managed to anger President Goldman.

"Lena, don’t take it too far! You’re this aggressive toward Ashley even while you’re pregnant. I can only imagine what you were like before... How can I marry you when you’re like this? How can I not worry about Ashley? I just don’t get it. She’s just a sweet, gentle girl who doesn’t have a bad bone in her body. She just likes me. Why can’t you tolerate her?"

’A sweet, gentle girl? Not a bad bone in her body?’ The woman in white was about to die from anger.

Unfortunately, there were no witnesses. This was a restroom, so there were no security cameras to record Ashley White’s earlier words and actions. She had no choice but to suffer in silence.

"So this is your stance. You’re disappointed in me, you don’t want the baby, and you’ve chosen Ashley White. Is that it?"

"Marriage is a serious matter. If you’re always going to be this short-tempered and cruel, I certainly can’t handle it. Besides, you’re more capable than Ashley. You’ll do just fine without me."

President Goldman glanced at Lena with disappointment, then pulled Ashley White into a protective, pitying embrace.

This time, it wasn’t just Lena who was angry; Cecelia Archer was furious too.

’So this is how the world works. Scheming "green tea" types who know how to act and pretend get to rake it all in, while honest, upright women are left with nothing?’

’Why are all men so blind? Why do they all become so stupid when faced with a "green tea" type?’

Cecelia Archer couldn’t help but think of Vivian Mason, of Claire Clark, and of all the times she herself had been targeted at school and at work.

It wasn’t just for Lena’s sake, but for her own. She took her phone out of her bag.

"President Goldman, is it? Sorry, but I accidentally recorded something while I was in the restroom earlier. Care to take a listen?"

The recording played. President Goldman heard Ashley White’s sharp, cruel, and venomous words with perfect clarity. He was stunned.

"Ashley, you..."

Ashley White scrambled to explain herself.

"No! It’s not like that, President Goldman, listen to me! This woman is with Lena! She was deliberately provoking me just now so this other woman could record it for you! Their goal is to frame me and make us break up! President Goldman, you can’t fall for their trap!"

’The evidence is ironclad and she’s still trying to argue her way out of it?’ Cecelia Archer thought, smiling at Ashley White.

"You’re so fierce and savage when you fight, I never would have guessed you could act so cute and whiny... Can you imagine the contrast, President Goldman? If she used a video of herself fighting to audition, she’d be a shoo-in for the main villain."

"You!"

Fearing Cecelia Archer would show President Goldman a video of her fighting, Ashley White instinctively lunged to grab the phone, but President Goldman held her back.

"Enough! Stop making a scene! Ashley, you’ve really disappointed me."

His tone toward Lena finally softened.

"I understand what happened today. I’ll give you a proper explanation later."

"Look at the state of your hair, both of you. It’s a mess. Clean yourselves up and come out. The reporters will be here any minute."

President Goldman left the room in a huff.

Ashley White charged over, ready to settle the score with Lena, but Cecelia Archer just shook the phone in her hand.

"Want me to record some more?"

That stopped her in her tracks.

"Fine, Lena! You set me up! Found yourself a helper, did you? You win this round! But as long as I, Ashley White, am still breathing, I’ll get you back for this one day. You just wait!"

Straightening her hair, she too left the room in a rage.

Cecelia Archer was about to turn and ask Lena if she was alright, but before she could say a word, Lena grabbed her hand, moved.

"Thank you."

"Hey, beautiful. You’re gorgeous. Do you know who I am? I’m Julian Sherman’s manager."

"Are you new to the industry, or are you trying to get in? Do you have an agency? If not, would you be willing to sign with me?"
