Chapter 191

Meanwhile, in the Beast Forest, the condition of Liyu’s reflections had gone from worse to worst, or perhaps even beyond that, as the clones were beginning to suffer from complete Qi depletion.

Since the majority of their combat abilities depended heavily on their Qi reserves, exhausting and completely running out of Qi was bound to put them in an extremely dire state, which was precisely the state they found themselves in at this very moment.

Dead Eye Rayden narrowly dodged an incoming attack, his body twisting to the side as the beast’s claws swept past him, and he immediately raised his hand and attempted to fire a Qi Bullet. Nothing came out... not even the slightest trace of Qi, because his Qi had completely run out.

Because of that failed attempt, he was unable to react quickly enough to another beast attacking him from behind. Whoosh! The beast’s sharp claws tore toward his side; and if not for the toughness of his suit, the damage would have been extremely severe.

Even with the suit absorbing most of the force, however, its claws still managed to tear through part of it, leaving a shallow but painful wound across his side.

The pain that slammed heavily into Dead Eye Rayden was no small matter either, but he gritted his teeth and immediately created some distance between himself and the enormous beast horde surrounding him with a dark gaze.

He couldn’t use his weapons anymore, his Velocity Affinity was also unusable, his Qi was completely exhausted, and he had reached his limit.

Yet the beasts were still coming... hundreds of them, perhaps even more... continuing to rush toward him without the slightest intention of stopping. "These beasts are damn smart..." Dead Eye Rayden muttered under his breath.

They must have sensed it, realizing that he could no longer use his Qi Bullet, and because of that, they had immediately changed their tactics to try to overwhelm him with claws and fangs coming from every direction.

Dead Eye Rayden slowly exhaled with no panic on his face, only a deep, cold determination. He returned his remaining weapons, pressing them back into the buttons attached to his clothes, because if he couldn’t use his weapons, then he would fight with his bare hands.

He wasn’t going to simply stand there and wait to be killed... no, he couldn’t allow that... so he fought, and fought, and fought, facing the hundreds of beasts surrounding him with nothing but his physical strength and hand-to-hand combat skills.

His fists slammed into skulls, his legs kicked away claws, and his body twisted and moved between the incoming attacks. His hand-to-hand combat skills were by no means lacking and were in fact quite formidable, but they were still nowhere near enough to deal with such a massive beast horde because there were simply too many.

Every time he knocked one beast away, another several rushed toward him, and soon injuries began appearing across his body... one wound, then another, then another... while blood slowly stained his clothes, his breathing became heavier, his movements became slower, and his situation gradually became darker.

Then... Whoom... A strange sensation suddenly washed over him just as his back slammed hard against one of the enormous trees, his vision seeming to dim.

For a brief moment, Dead Eye Rayden thought he was finally reaching his limit, but then something changed... no, not changed, but rather he felt something return.

His completely depleted Qi beads suddenly began filling, one after another, and the Qi that had been exhausted to the very last drop suddenly surged back into them. His reserves rapidly returned, and then they filled to the brim.

A deep wave of power suddenly spread throughout his entire body, and Dead Eye Rayden’s eyes widened slightly as he could feel it: his strength was back, his Qi was back, and his abilities were back. A small smile slowly appeared on his face.

At that very moment, a massive wolf-type beast rushed toward him, its enormous maw opening wide to reveal rows of sharp teeth as it lunged forward, intending to tear Dead Eye Rayden apart.

But just before it could reach him... Click! One of the buttons attached to Dead Eye Rayden’s clothes suddenly broke loose, transforming rapidly as metal shifted and components unfolded until it became a blaster within moments. Dead Eye Rayden calmly raised it, placed the barrel directly toward the beast’s open maw, and then pulled the trigger.

BANG! A deafening sound echoed through the forest, immediately followed by the horrifying sound of something being blasted apart. The wolf collapsed instantly, its head having been shattered and blown completely apart, and the beast’s body slammed heavily onto the ground.

The other beasts that had been rushing forward suddenly froze, every single one of them staring at Dead Eye Rayden with shock filling their eyes. He could use Qi again? How?

The same question seemed to echo through the minds of every beast present, their eyes widening in complete disbelief.

Dead Eye Rayden didn’t bother explaining. Instead, he calmly reached for another button that broke loose from his clothes, transforming as well the moment it left his hand into a triple-mouthed blaster.

Dead Eye Rayden held the new weapon in his right hand while keeping the first blaster in his left, a small smile appearing across his face. "Thanks, Boss, for the help." His eyes gleamed beneath his visor. "In return, I will quickly get rid of all this and return to the task that you have given to me."

Dead Eye Rayden finished speaking and then attacked. WHOOM! BLAST! BANG! BANG! BANG!

The rapid sounds of gunfire immediately filled the forest, beasts cried out, skulls shattered, bodies were blasted apart, and blood splattered across the trees and ground as Dead Eye Rayden finally unleashed the power he had been forced to suppress because of his depleted Qi.

The beast horde that had previously been surrounding him now became the prey, and Dead Eye Rayden was the hunter. Meanwhile, Dead Eye Rayden was not the only one whose Qi had suddenly returned, as the exact same phenomenon had occurred with the rest of Liyu’s reflections.

Their depleted Qi beads had all been filled to the brim once more, their exhausted power had returned, and with it, the tide of battle across the Beast Forest was about to change once again.

King Rayden was in turmoil.

His qi had completely run out, and at this point, he was surviving purely because of his experience and battle style, using the beasts’ own fangs and claws against them, constantly outmaneuvering them, slipping past their attacks, and using their movements against one another to stay alive.

But of course, even that had a limit, and King Rayden was rapidly approaching his limit. His situation was already dire, yet he couldn’t help but worry about the remaining two clones as well, because as the first clone, he believed that he should take care of his siblings more than anyone else... a responsibility that had always been something he carried naturally, almost instinctively.

Right now, however, he himself was in danger, and if only he could recover some of his qi, even a little, he could probably turn the situation around for the better.

Just as that thought crossed his mind, something strange happened, feeling like a bubbling well suddenly coming alive deep within him. Something surged, and vitality erupted from the depths of his body, rushing upward before spreading outward through every meridian, every limb, and every inch of his body.

King Rayden’s eyes widened slightly. His depleted qi suddenly began returning... not slowly, not little by little, but rather in a terrifying surge, filling his empty reserves back to the brim in the blink of an eye.

And with the return of his qi, his strength surged upward as well, bringing back the familiar sensation of power that he could once more course through his body. He could feel it: he could use his green lightning once more, and this time, he no longer needed to worry about his green lightning consuming the last remnants of his stamina.

A small, gentle smile appeared on King Rayden’s face as he had a very good inclination about the person that had done this. It is that crazy original, isn’t it? King Rayden shook his head with a faint smile, thinking he sure is more than just a psycho.

He was grateful because the original had already done more than enough, and now it was time for him to do his part as well... which was simply to wipe out this beast army and secure the safety of the other reflections. And since his qi was back to being completely filled once more, I can try to be wasteful.

King Rayden’s emerald gaze darkened. The beasts that had been planning to overwhelm and kill him suddenly stopped in their tracks, staring at the scene before them in absolute shock because green lightning had begun crackling violently around King Rayden’s figure once more.

But this time, the power radiating from that green lightning seemed even more terrifying than before. The beasts shivered, finally realizing that they were doomed, since the only reason they had been able to gradually suppress the human before them was because he had been unable to use his green lightning anymore.

But now that he could use it once more, the situation had completely changed, and the beasts immediately turned around and tried to flee.

"Don’t run." King Rayden looked at them with a calm smile touching his face. "The fun is only starting."

The instant his voice fell, his lightning erupted outward. Zzzzzzt! Violent green lightning spread across the battlefield, and several blades and daggers were instantly formed from the lightning... about one hundred blades created in total, floating around him like a terrifying storm of emerald weapons, while two extra-long, slender blades formed directly within King Rayden’s hands.

His emerald eyes flashed, green lightning crackled violently within them, and then he moved... or rather, he vanished, with the only thing left behind being a trail of crackling green lightning that lingered in the air for a brief moment.

His figure appeared within the remaining horde. The once massive army had already been greatly reduced, and from the thousands of beasts that had initially arrived, only a little over a thousand remained; yet even that number was still enormous.

King Rayden appeared right within the center of the large horde, his body crackling with green lightning, and his swords flashed outward. The beasts immediately understood that there was nowhere left to run, leaving them with only one choice: attack, fight with everything they had, and try their best to survive.

And that was exactly what they did, as the beasts roared and charged, fangs opened, claws swung, and bodies surged forward from every direction.

The entire horde descended upon King Rayden at once, but then their despair began to bloom because they soon realized something horrifying: the hundreds of constructs made from green lightning seemed to possess a mind of their own.

They moved, they turned, they attacked, and every single one of them did so in perfect harmony.

King Rayden stood at the center of the battlefield, his movements calm and precise as he controlled the hundreds of lightning weapons with astonishing accuracy.

Every thought translated into action, every movement of his hand caused several blades to change direction, and every flick of his wrist sent another wave of emerald weapons cutting through the beasts.

The lightning blades struck from every side.. front, back, above, below... leaving nowhere to hide and nowhere to escape.

With King Rayden’s precise movements and extraordinary control, he was able to guard against the beasts surrounding him from all sides while simultaneously commanding his lightning constructs to strike down everything within their range, making his weapons strike faster and faster and faster, with every passing moment increasing their force and carving destruction and carnage through the battlefield.

Pah! Slash! Boom! Blood splattered across the forest, bodies collapsed one after another, and for a while the beasts desperately tried to fight back by roaring, attacking, and attempting to overwhelm King Rayden with sheer numbers.

But as more and more of them fell every few seconds, their courage began to vanish, and the realization that they were facing something they couldn’t defeat slowly settled into their hearts. Some of them began to retreat, others began to tremble, and eventually, some even tried to beg.

But what answered them was death... no mercy, no hesitation, no second chance. They cried and screamed in agony as their limbs were severed, their bodies shredded, and their flesh torn apart by the merciless storm of green lightning. And after that, King Rayden finally ended their lives.

The cries of agony echoed throughout the forest, the screams reverberated between the trees, blood stained the ground, and the carnage and slaughter continued while King Rayden kept moving through it all with an expression that remained calm and composed.

Meanwhile, far away from King Rayden’s battlefield... BOOOOOOM! A massive explosion echoed through the forest. Two fighters who had been locked in a deadly matchup finally disengaged, their bodies shooting backward before landing several meters away from each other.

On one side stood the four-spiked gorilla, its massive body covered in terrifying muscles while its crimson eyes radiated deep, unbridled fury. On the other side was a human... a human who seemed half asleep, with one of his eyes completely closed while the other remained half-lidded.

If one didn’t know better, it would be incredibly easy to mistake him for someone who had simply fallen asleep while standing, since his expression was sleepy, his posture was relaxed, and despite the terrifying battle that had just taken place, he looked completely and utterly unbothered. Lazy Rayden.

The four-spiked gorilla stared at him with murderous rage. "You damn humans..." Its voice rumbled through the forest. "Why resist?" The gorilla’s crimson eyes burned with bloodlust. "You shall die anyway." Its enormous claws dug into the ground. "You have lost." The beast sneered.

"Resisting is meaningless. When your friends die, it will be over for you as well."

The words were clearly meant to intimidate Lazy Rayden, but unfortunately for the gorilla, it had chosen the wrong target.

Lazy Rayden merely yawned slightly, his sleepy gaze shifting toward the four-spiked gorilla with even a small trace of amusement flashing within his half-lidded eyes, before he casually spoke. "Well..." He paused briefly. "I can say the same for you."
