My Farming Domain Is Broken

The Silverwood Tree leaned to one side but did not fall.

Carlos pulled the axe free.

He could hear the final seconds passing inside his head even without looking at the timer.

One fired its last Water Shot before its mana was completely depleted.

"Move!"

Blue flew away, and One bounced out of the tree’s path.

Carlos twisted his whole body and swung.

The axe struck the remaining wood.

CRACK!

The golden tree fell.

Carlos didn’t celebrate.

"Where is Rowan?"

Blue pointed out of the clearing.

Carlos grabbed the six golden pieces and ran.

He found Rowan crouched beside a patch of dark red plants. The basket on his back was completely full.

"These roots are mature," Rowan said. "But the ground is too hard. I need a shovel."

There was no shovel, but the event had given them a pickaxe.

Carlos looked at the timer.

He picked up the pickaxe and struck the soil around the plants.

The earth broke apart.

Rowan immediately grabbed the first plant near its base and pulled.

A thick red root came out of the ground.

Carlos felt the root leave the ground at the same moment the world disappeared.

He landed back in his territory with his back against the soil.

Rowan fell beside him.

The event equipment dissolved into light, but the full gathering basket remained.

Carlos immediately opened the event results.

"Rowan."

The Farmer was already looking at the Bloodroot.

"Can you grow it?"

Rowan picked up one of the red roots and checked its surface.

"It is undamaged and still has several smaller roots attached. I should be able to plant it. I do not know what conditions it prefers, so the first attempt may fail."

Carlos looked toward the empty Spirit Farmland.

"Use one. Keep the other safe."

"Yes, my lord."

A private message appeared before Rowan could move.

[Cosmic Merchant] - 18 Wood and 12 Stone. My Lizardman could barely swing the pickaxe with one arm, but the potion helped.

[Cosmic Merchant] - I also found an iron deposit near the end. I got 2 Iron Ore.

Carlos nodded.

Cosmic had gained the basic resources he needed. The event had done exactly what it was meant to do.

Carlos looked at his own rewards again.

He had gained less normal Wood than Cosmic, but his Rare resources could become far more valuable later.

Since beginning his journey as an Agriculture Lord, he had not expected to enjoy it this much.

Carlos read all three choices again.

The Basic Tool Workshop was the safest option.

He had already broken Cosmic’s spear, and the territory only had one Wooden Hoe. A workshop could solve both problems once he obtained enough materials.

The Bloodroot Seeds were useful too. If Rowan successfully grew them, Carlos might gain a stable supply of recovery materials.

But his eyes kept returning to the first choice.

On ordinary land, Carlos would only gain something from the tree when it was almost time to return home.

But he did not have ordinary land.

He looked at the empty Spirit Farmland and then at the Mana Spring beside it.

"Rowan, come here."

The Farmer walked over while holding one of the Bloodroots.

Carlos showed him the three options and then opened the Silverwood Seed’s description.

"Can we grow it?"

Rowan read only the farming information before looking at the Spirit Farmland.

"The soil and water meet the listed requirements. I have never grown a Silverwood Tree, so I cannot promise anything beyond that."

"Where would you plant it?"

Rowan walked around the Epic plot.

He stopped near one corner and pointed at the soil.

"Here. A tree needs space for its roots and branches. If we plant it in the center, we may lose most of the plot to one crop. At the corner, we can still use the remaining land."

Carlos nodded.

That was exactly why he had asked Rowan.

The Farmer did not know what magical wood could create or how valuable it was to other Lords.

But he knew how to use land properly.

Carlos selected the reward.
