My Farming Domain Is Broken

Chapter 15: Ch 15. 10 days to 2 days

A silver seed appeared in his hand.

It was smooth, cold, and almost as large as the tip of his thumb.

Blue flew out of the Mana Spring the moment it appeared.

"Bloo!"

The Sprite reached toward it, and Carlos immediately closed his fist.

"No. This is not food."

Blue grabbed his fingers and tried to pull them open.

"You already got one Nature’s Dew from me."

"Bloo..."

The Sprite’s body drooped.

Carlos ignored the guilt that immediately rose in his chest. Self-restraint for the greater good was necessary.

"You can help grow it. Then maybe I will give you one of its fruits."

Blue became round again and nodded.

Rowan crouched at the corner of the Spirit Farmland. He pushed two fingers into the soil, checked the depth, and widened the small hole.

"It is ready, my lord."

Carlos handed him the seed.

Rowan placed it inside and gently covered it with Spirit Soil.

--

Carlos stared at the last line.

"Less than two days?"

Rowan looked surprised too, but he only read through the listed bonuses.

"The land is doing most of the work."

"Hey, don’t sell yourself short. You are helping too."

"A little."

Thirty days had become less than two.

Carlos finally understood why his original Plot of Fertile Land was Rare grade. The ten-times growth speed was already powerful on Common Wheat, but its true value appeared when he planted something that normally took weeks to mature.

"Blue, water it. Only a little."

The Sprite floated above the buried seed.

It pulled a thin stream from the Mana Spring and guided it through the air. The water fell gently over the soil instead of splashing everywhere.

[Silverwood Seed irrigated with Mana Water]

[Growth Speed +20%]

[Crop Quality +10%]

[Estimated Growth Duration: 1 day, 14 hours, 48 minutes]

Carlos started chuckling.

The Rare tree he had almost exhausted himself cutting down would now grow inside his territory in less than two days.

And once it matured, he would not only have six pieces of Silverwood.

He would own the tree that produced it.

[Mana Water Sprite Blue has successfully irrigated a crop]

[New action learned: Irrigate Crop]

Blue spun in the air.

"Bloo!"

Carlos looked at the notification and then at Rowan.

"Does that mean Blue can water the fields now?"

"If the Sprite can repeat what it just did, yes."

"Blue, water the wheat."

Blue pulled a much larger stream from the spring.

"A little!" Rowan shouted.

The water fell over the wheat like sudden rain.

Rowan rushed into the plot and checked the soil before it could become flooded.

"Stop!"

Blue stopped.

The Farmer looked at the Sprite with the deepest frown Carlos had seen so far.

"It needs practice, my lord."

"It will learn."

Blue hid behind Carlos.

"And you will listen to Rowan when he tells you how much water to use."

The Sprite slowly nodded.

[Farmer Rowan has begun teaching Mana Water Sprite Blue]

[Compatible work detected]

[Blue may gain farming-related actions through repeated instruction]

Carlos smiled.

Rowan only understood farming, but that did not make him any less useful.

It made him the one person in the territory who could teach others how to work the fields.

Carlos opened the territory panel again.

--

Territory Level: 1

Territory Experience: 15/100

Residents: 2/10

Troops: 1

Buildings: 3

Special Structures: 1

Farm Plots: 2

--

The territory had changed completely in a single day.

It had begun as barren land with a hut and two empty plots.

Now wheat grew on one side, a Rare tree slept beneath the other, a Mana Spring produced clean water, and a Blue Water Slime waited inside its barracks.

It was still small, but it had already started moving forward.

Carlos’s chat began flashing with new messages.

--

[Class B 19190008]

[PookAcrylic] - Did everybody do the Resource Hunt? I got 11 Wood! : )

[IronWall] - 15 Stone. My troops did most of it.

[Cosmic Merchant] - Carlos found a Rare resource.

[PookAcrylic] - What???

--

Carlos frowned and quickly sent Cosmic a private message.

--

[Carlos Goldwin] - Why would you tell everyone that?

[Cosmic Merchant] - You never told me it was a secret.

--

Carlos’s eyebrow twitched.

Private messages immediately began appearing.

--

[PookAcrylic] - What did you find, Carlos?

[IronWall] - Are you selling it?

[Unknown Lord] - I’ll trade for the Rare resource. I offer 50 Wood.

[Unknown Lord] - I can offer a troop equipment blueprint.

--

Carlos closed all of them.

Some of his classmates had not even revealed their names, which made him frown. At the very least, they should show their names in the class chat if they wanted people to trust them.

--

[Carlos Goldwin] - Cosmic.

[Cosmic Merchant] - Yes?

[Carlos Goldwin] - I am going to remember this.

[Cosmic Merchant] - Good. While you are remembering, look at the class chat. This is useful.

--

Carlos’s frown remained, but he reopened the group chat.

The Lords were discussing what they had gathered and what they still needed. Some had too much Wood but no Stone. Others had medicinal plants they could not use. A few had obtained food but lacked water.

Cosmic had deliberately drawn attention to Carlos.

Not because he wanted everyone to know what Carlos owned.

He wanted to see how much they were willing to offer for it.

--

[Cosmic Merchant] - Don’t sell anything yet. I am recording every offer.

[Carlos Goldwin] - You could have warned me.

[Cosmic Merchant] - Your reaction made it believable.

[Carlos Goldwin] - I hate you.

[Cosmic Merchant] - Now you know how I felt about the Rare Sprite.

--

Carlos looked at the offers again.

One person was willing to give fifty ordinary Wood for a Rare material they had not even seen.

The six pieces of Silverwood in his inventory were valuable.
