My Farming Domain Is Broken
Chapter 29. Selling everything: Is it a big risk?Carlos appeared in front of the conquest portal and immediately fell onto his back.
One landed beside him.
When the sprite noticed them back, it flew out of the Mana Spring.
The Sprite circled One several times, touching the place where the crack had been.
"It is safe," Carlos said. "The core was repaired."
"Bloo!"
Blue wrapped both arms around the slime.
One’s body shook beneath the Sprite and Carlos couldn’t tell if it was hurting or being emotional.
Rowan stood at the field for a few seconds after his arrival and then approached from the fields.
He looked at Carlos’s destroyed armor, bloody clothes and swollen face.
Then he looked at One.
"My lord, You returned in a better condition than last time," Rowan spoke.
Carlos stared at him ad then looked at himself.
"I have a broken rib, Rowan. Don’t know about coming back safer."
"Last time, your eyes had a dead look to it. But this time, they are relieved, my lord."
Carlos started laughing but it hurt too much, so he stopped.
"Help me inside, please."
Rowan put Carlos’s arm over his shoulder.
A territory notification appeared as they reached the Lord’s hut.
[Territory Experience requirement fulfilled]
[Territory Level increased to Level 2]
[New territory functions unlocked]
[Authority to expand territory granted]
[Conquest Level 3 unlocked]
Carlos looked back at the portal.
The surface of it had changed from blue to black.
[Hellbound title effect detected]
[Conquest Level 3 has recognized its priority challenger]
[Enemy difficulty has been adjusted]
Carlos’s grin slowly disappeared and the pain increased. Walking right now seemed like a bad idea.
The excitement from the conquest had kept his body moving, but now that he was back, every wound demanded attention at the same time.
"Inside," Rowan spoke.
Carlos did not argue.
The Farmer helped him onto the mattress while Blue and One remained near the entrance. Blue kept circling the slime and checking its repaired core.
Carlos drank a Medium Recovery Potion.
Warmth spread through his chest and shoulder.
--
HP- 74/360
--
The number began increasing, but the broken rib did not immediately return to its proper place.
Carlos lay still and drank another potion when the first one stopped working.
He slept for three hours.
When he opened his eyes, Rowan had left two bowls of wheat porridge beside the mattress. One had become cold.
Carlos ate both.
--
HP- 329/360
Status: Recovering
Minor rib fracture
Muscle exhaustion
--
It was the best condition he could expect after fighting an Elite Hobgoblin with his fists.
Carlos slowly sat up and opened his inventory.
The list had become enormous.
There were resources from three waves, captured weapons, armor, potions, building blueprints, promotion items and unopened reward chests.
He organized everything into groups.
--
Basic Resources:
Wood x220
Stone x185
Iron Ore x60
Processed Leather x30
Pure Water x30
--
Those numbers did not include the resources already inside his territory or anything gathered before the conquest.
Then came the Goblin items.
--
Goblin Weapons x35
Goblin Armor x10
Goblin Round Shields x8
Goblin Arrows x31
Goblin Blood Crystals x10
Goblin Warrior Barrack Blueprint x1
Captain’s Training Ground Blueprint x1
Goblin Commander Promotion Token x2
--
Carlos opened the Goblin Warrior Barrack again.
It was a strong building.
A daily Goblin Warrior with Shield Block and Formation Fighting would give him the close-combat troops his territory lacked.
He had enough materials to construct it immediately.
Carlos looked outside.
Rowan was working between the two plots. Blue helped move water from the Mana Spring while One rested beneath the Tidal Silverwood.
The territory was small, quiet and productive.
Carlos imagined a Goblin barrack beside the fields.
Then another.
Dozens of Goblin Warriors would require food, equipment, training and someone capable of commanding them.
Carlos could fight beside them, but that was not the same as building his whole territory around them.
He had received an Agriculture domain.
Every time he tried to move away from that fact, the land showed him how valuable it could become.
"No Goblins."
Carlos closed the blueprint.
One Blue Water Slime Barrack was enough for now. The slimes could provide ranged support without changing the direction of his territory.
The Goblin items would become something more useful.
He messaged Cosmic and had a long conversation with him about what he experienced.
--
[Carlos Goldwin]- I have decided on selling all my Goblin equipment.
[Cosmic Merchant]- You are changing the topic again, bastard. LISTEN TO ME, I DON’T WANT YOU GOING TO HELL DIFFICULTY ANYMORE, BROTHER. Its too dangerous to do it everytime...
[Carlos Goldwin]- ... Cosmic please, I don’t want you meddling in that with all due respect. I am only doing this because I know I can. You know all the training I went through in my family... Do you think this is worse than all that?
--
Cosmic went silent for a while and Carlos rested till then but the message pipped again.
--
[Cosmic Merchant]- Alright... Just get proper equipment before doing the next one. I will help you get some. That asis, what are you thinking of selling related to goblins?
[Carlos Goldwin]- Weapons, armor, shields, Blood Crystals, the barrack, the Training Ground and both Promotion Tokens.
[Cosmic Merchant]- Did the Hobgoblin hit your head, brotherman? You did all that and want to sell the most valuable stuff you got from it? I feel bad talking with you bro, you make me stressed as fuck.
[Carlos Goldwin]- I did get hit several times but anyway, I want your help selling that. Trust me, I want something way better.
[Cosmic Merchant]- ...
--
It took a while for Carlos to make cosmic calm, he was a good friend that cared for him.
Carlos sent him the descriptions. When he finally read it, Cosmic stopped speaking for some time again making Carlos sure he was going to get another few things to hear an earful for.
--
[Cosmic Merchant]- This is enough to start a complete Goblin military territory.
[Carlos Goldwin]- Exactly. Sell it as a complete package first.
[Cosmic Merchant]- Why again aren’t you using it?
[Carlos Goldwin]- Because I don’t want a Goblin military territory.
--
The reply took longer this time.
--
[Cosmic Merchant]- What do you want in exchange?
[Carlos Goldwin]- Wood, stone, water, cooking materials, basic seeds and useful blueprints. Copper only if they have nothing else.
[Cosmic Merchant]- You are serious about the Agriculture domain now.
[Carlos Goldwin]- I nearly died twice to obtain farming resources. I should probably use them.
[Cosmic Merchant]- Give me an hour.
--
Carlos created his own smaller listings while Cosmic searched for a buyer.
He sold the broken and Common weapons in groups instead of individually.
--
[Goblin Wooden Club x4 exchanged for Wood x12]
[Crude Stone Axe x4 exchanged for Stone x16]
[Rusty Goblin Knife x4 exchanged for Copper Coins x20]
[Goblin Sling x3 and Goblin Arrow x31 exchanged for Copper Coins x35]
[Goblin Hunter Bow x4 exchanged for Wood x25 and Processed Leather x5]
[Goblin Short Spear x4 exchanged for Iron Ore x8]
--
The equipment was not valuable individually, but there was enough of it for the returns to pile up.
Carlos kept the Captain’s Crescent Glaive listing separate.
SpearHead bought it for two hundred Copper Coins and a Common Shield.
BlackForge accepted the damaged Iron Scale Armor, curved blades and Goblin swords in exchange for Iron Ore x30 and a promise to repair Carlos’s Reinforced Long Spear for free.
The whip, remaining armor and shields sold for another eighty wood and sixty stone.
Only the military package remained.
Cosmic returned with an offer.
--
[Cosmic Merchant]- Lord IronWall wants the Goblin Barrack, Training Ground, two Promotion Tokens and ten Blood Crystals.
[Carlos Goldwin]- Offer?
[Cosmic Merchant]- Wood x250, Stone x200, Copper Coins x300 and a Basic Kitchen Blueprint.
