My Farming Domain Is Broken

Chapter 3: Ch 3. Hell difficulty (1)

The summoned farmer was around the same height as Carlos, and he was wearing a navy blue shirt and trousers whose buckles came up and latched onto his shoulders on each side.

There was a constant frown on his face, and Carlos already knew why that was.

The farmer didn’t consider him a good lord.

But Carlos smiled instead and moved his hand forward for a handshake.

"My name is Carlos, nice to meet you." He spoke, making the farmer look at his hand and then at him.

"I can’t be this formal with a lord, my apologies." The farmer spoke with the same grumpy look before bowing a little.

Carlos sighed at that and retracted his greeting.

Carlos looked at the description and then at the man who was staring at the plot.

"You don’t have a name?" Carlos asked, to which the farmer only showed another frown.

"I do," he spoke. "It’s Farmer," he said as if it were obvious.

But before Carlos could say anything else, the farmer sighed and spoke out loud.

"Look, I’m sorry for cutting you off, but do you think I can check out the plot of land now?" he asked in a much more pleasant tone than before.

Carlos nodded and watched the farmer’s expression change from a frown to something more normal.

’Maybe he doesn’t like talking.’

The farmer made his way toward the first plot of land, which wasn’t that far away. He crouched down and took a handful of soil into his hand to inspect it.

His eyes flashed with excitement as he looked at both plots with interest.

Carlos didn’t want to lose the opportunity.

"How is this plot of land, Farmer?" he asked.

The farmer didn’t even turn his head toward him before answering with two simple words.

"The best."

Carlos liked that. The troop might have been unfavorable toward him, but it wasn’t like he couldn’t do anything about it.

He just needed to play to what the farmer liked.

"Do you have something we can grow here, my lord?" he asked.

Carlos checked his inventory again and smiled.

"We do have something for you. It’s called ’Common Wheat Seeds.’ I got twenty of them."

The farmer looked back at him, and this time, Carlos could see desire in his eyes.

Carlos knew what to do right away.

"Do you want to start growing these seeds right away?" he asked.

The farmer nodded once in a nonchalant manner.

Carlos liked this farmer.

He was straight to the point.

"You don’t need to ask me, my lord. I will do whatever you think is right," the farmer spoke while looking at the land.

Carlos clicked on the wheat seeds, making a pouch materialize in front of him. He crouched down and opened it.

There they were.

Twenty small wheat seeds.

’Quite a small inspect panel.’

While Carlos was looking at it, the farmer had already walked over to inspect the seeds as well.

When Carlos noticed that, he handed the pouch over, and the farmer grabbed it before looking inside.

"Wheat seeds, huh... Quite a fun crop to grow. Do you want me to start right away?" the farmer spoke with the same grumpy face, but his eyes were glistening.

"Sure. If you need anything, just tell me about it."

The farmer looked around once, and after inspecting all the tools inside the Farmer’s Lodge, he said one thing.

"I need a water source. Even a small one will do, my lord."

Carlos nodded after looking around.

He did need a water source.

’The problem is still there. I got many things, but no food, no water, and most importantly, no wood or stone...’ Carlos thought to himself.

"I have a blueprint for a well, but I don’t know the requirements. And I didn’t get any wood or stone to build it either," Carlos spoke.

For the first time, the farmer didn’t frown.

"That’s okay. Just let me know when you get them."

Carlos was surprised, but he nodded.

"Till then, I will get the land ready for the seeds... and the water."

The farmer started walking toward the Farmer’s Lodge to get the equipment, which made Carlos remember something.

He summoned the Wooden Hoe and handed it to the farmer.

The farmer’s eyes widened in surprise.

He then walked over to the plot and began tilling the soil while Carlos went inside the Lord’s Hut to make a plan.

"First thing’s first, I need to get into our class’s group," Carlos spoke as he opened the Lord Panel.

Carlos already knew from everything he had been taught what he needed to do the first time he arrived here.

’I’m really late,’ he thought as he clicked on Chat.

The chat was moving rapidly with people talking about the Domains they had awakened. Carlos saw many interesting things scrolling by.

But he quickly clicked on "Groups" in the top-right corner.

There were already many groups created.

He quickly typed the name of his class along with its unique identification number.

When he was done, only one group remained.

He clicked on it with a smile.

--

Carlos Goldwin has joined the chatroom "Class B 19190008"

--

"Only twenty have joined so far?" Carlos was surprised that he was among the early ones.

At that moment, a message popped up in the chatroom.

--

[Cosmic Merchant] - You are so late. What took you so long?

--

Carlos grinned the moment he saw the name.

Even though an alias was being used, it was a name he knew very well.
