Carlos took one look at the rewards and couldn’t hold back his excitement. His fists tightened even though he was feeling pain all over his body.

’I knew the first conquest could get hard, but there is no way someone dies here,’ he thought to himself.

’And the rewards for Hell difficulty make every bit of pain bearable.’

That was until he opened his profile and lost all the vigor he had.

"..."

’I might have taken too much damage... shit.’

Carlos rubbed the back of his head. He knew he had always been reckless, but his family and Cosmic were always there to help keep him under control.

But now, he needed to learn control on his own.

[Next wave in 5 minutes]

Looking at the notification, Carlos quickly checked his inventory. There were just too many rewards.

His body was aching all over, and that made his eyes land on one particular item.

He quickly clicked on it, causing a small potion bottle to materialize in his hand.

Carlos uncorked it and drank it without even inspecting it. He needed to recover as soon as possible.

When he was done drinking, he kept his eyes on the health bar for a moment before witnessing the wonders.

HP - 210/360

30 seconds later

--

HP - 240/360

--

Carlos looked over his body and saw the wounds fade in color while the pain subsided as his HP increased. Relief washed over him, and he felt like he had enough energy to fight another wave right now.

He went back to the rewards and saw three items that were completely different from anything else.

He clicked on the Mana Spring, making its profile appear.

"JACKPOT!" Carlos screamed at the top of his lungs without a care.

’Oh my God, this is too good. I already got drinking water, but this... this has farming terminology written everywhere... are production classes this strong???’

Carlos was confused, but he tried his best to calm himself.

There were still the other two items.

[Hell Conquerer’s Chest x1]

He couldn’t control himself and clicked on the chest right away, making it vanish from his inventory.

For five full seconds, nothing happened, making Carlos’s heart almost drop, but a list popped up a second later.

[Spirit Soil x1

Nature’s Dew x5

Living Scarecrow x1

Farmer’s Promotion Scroll x1]

"..."

’Is this for real? Am I actually getting lucky for a change? Well, the Hell difficulty did help, but all the professors ever told us was, "Be careful, be careful." But these rewards are just insane...’

Carlos couldn’t think properly anymore and clicked on each of them to see what they were.

"Epic Grade..."

Carlos closed everything. He had looked at enough rewards already.

This was not the time to inspect them.

But still, among the list that had now reached double digits, Carlos looked at the third item that remained unopened.

--

Lucky Draw Ticket x1

--

"No, I won’t use it now. NO."

Carlos told himself as his finger hovered dangerously close to it. His intrusive thoughts were screaming at him to just click it.

Just as he was about to give in, another notification popped up.

[Next wave has commenced]

[Completion Requirement: Defeat 40 Slimes]

One look was all Carlos needed.

"I am going to die."
