Lying on the floor, Himanshu’s brain slowly started working again. His eyelids felt incredibly heavy.
Did her hit send me straight to hell? That was his very first thought.
Groaning in pain, he opened his eyes. Through his blurry vision, he saw the familiar ceiling of his own bedroom. The ceiling fan was still spinning with that same old creaky sound.
Wait... this is my room. That means... I’m still alive!
He slowly placed a hand on his cheek, then on his jaw. Popping his dislocated jaw back into place, Himanshu stumbled and finally got to his feet. His legs were still shaking a bit.
He was facing the door, so he didn’t see the Demon Queen. "Did she leave?" he muttered, turning around.
The moment he turned, his entire room literally looked like a battlefield. The wooden wardrobe where he kept his clothes—both of its doors were broken and lying on the floor. All his clothes, books, and stuff were completely messed up and scattered everywhere.
And then... Himanshu’s eyes fell on the Demon Queen.
She was standing near the wardrobe, using one of his t-shirts to wipe that sticky, white ’mess’ off her body and hair.
Just then... Himanshu’s eyes froze for a second.
He had saved his pocket money for two whole months for that specific t-shirt! But all he could do right now was clench his fists.
"Oh, so you’re up." The Demon Queen said in her flat voice.
Himanshu had thought the Demon Queen knocked him out. Because of that, a fresh wave of anger and hatred was building up inside him. But hearing her line, he realized how he actually passed out.
Looking down at the floor, he mumbled, "I hadn’t even worn it once."
"You didn’t have a single decent piece of clothing for me to wipe my body with!" The Demon Queen yelled, pointing at the rest of Himanshu’s clothes lying on the floor with absolute disgust. "They stank so bad, like some animal wore them for years without taking them off! How can you humans be so dirty!"
What stink...
"I just washed them yesterday. With Ariel detergent!"
The Demon Queen scoffed with a weird look of extreme disgust. "Who washes clothes and wears them again?"
Who washes clothes and wears them again? Himanshu’s brain stopped working for a second.
"If you just wanted to clean up, why didn’t you use the bathroom? There’s water in there!" Himanshu said, getting annoyed.
"Stop this useless nonsense." She cut him off. "First tell me this... how did you even dare to do such a filthy thing to me? Are you really not scared of death?"
The blood running through Himanshu’s veins turned to ice. All his energy, all his attitude, dropped to zero in a single second.
He knew there was no point in lying anymore.
"If you promise you won’t kill me... I’ll tell you the whole truth."
"Tell me first." The Demon Queen narrowed her eyes.
"No! Promise me first that you won’t kill me! Otherwise, I won’t say a single word."
The Demon Queen crossed her arms over her chest. Her patience was running out, but she really needed to know the truth. "Fine. I promise. Spill it."
Himanshu gulped nervously. It was time to watch his dignity get completely shredded to pieces.
"Well... I’ve stayed really far away from girls since childhood. I’m an introvert, I don’t know how to talk to them. So... to control my urges, I got into the habit of... you know, masturbating."
"Wait a minute," the Demon Queen interrupted. "That’s the spell, right? The one you just chanted?"
"Yeah..." Himanshu looked at the floor. "Actually... it’s not a spell at all."
A dead silence took over the room.
"What?" The Demon Queen’s voice trembled slightly. "You lied to me?"
"I’m sorry! I didn’t have any other choice!" Himanshu panicked and joined his hands together, begging. "Actually, it’s just that thing... the thing I just did on you... I mean, in front of you."
Out of pure embarrassment and anger, the Demon Queen’s face turned bright red again. "Do not remind me of that disgusting act! Keep talking!"
"Right! So... at night, I usually lie in bed, look at the pretty girls in my favorite comic books and... do that. I had zero intention of bringing you into the real world! I bought your comic book by mistake that day. You looked so... so attractive in that book that I just started doing my thing looking at you. And then I fell into a deep sleep. But when I woke up this morning... you were sleeping right on top of me without any clothes! I seriously didn’t know what to do! Or how to send you back!"
The Demon Queen just kept staring at him without blinking.
"Oh, so that’s what it is..." The Demon Queen looked him up and down with a weird mix of pure disgust. "So you are a creep."
"What? A creep?" Himanshu didn’t get it.
"Yeah. In our kingdom, dirty people like you are called creeps," the Queen said, making a face. "Those losers who have never felt the real touch of a woman, the ones no girl even looks twice at, and the ones who spend their entire lives fulfilling their lust only in their imaginations. Virgins!"
Himanshu’s mouth hung wide open. "Are you... are you seriously insulting me right now?"
Himanshu gritted his teeth, swallowed his crushed self-respect, and kept going.
"Yeah, fine! And last night I just did what I always do. But when you showed up here, my brain just stopped working. I thought... if I do exactly what I did last night, maybe it would act like some kind of reverse trigger and send you back to your world!"
"But... but my luck is so unbelievably trash that everything just kept getting worse." Himanshu let out a heavy sigh and dropped his head.
The Queen stood perfectly quiet. Her deep red eyes were just fixed on Himanshu.
